So I ordered here today for the first time. Through uber eats. And I've been looking for a new soul food place because they don't have any in San Diego. But I can tell you this the manager is very polite and any issues or anything he handles it professionally as he should and I respect that. This is why im writing this review right now. The wings are so good like I haven't tasted anyone's wings as good as mines yet or even on the level and I definitely got some competition here. The greens are really good I like the little spiciness to them. Sweet potatoes are smackin as well. I really enjoyed the food and definitely can't wait to try other items on the menu. I definitely recommend this place to anyone especially if you love soul food as much as I do. Im a chef as well and I normally just make my own soul food its my specialty and Italian food to cook. But now I can get some days off...because i will order again. Thank you

A very unassuming spot from the outside, but once you try their food, WOW! You can tell they put their heart and love in their food and cooking. The pricing was a little pricey (not too bad), but I think the pricing is worth the amount of food they give and how it tastes. The lady who took our orders was super sweet, and the chefs as well are friendly bringing out your food to you.I ordered the seafood boil for myself (Nawlin's style), and I was amazed. The flavors were slightly spicy, with a bit of citrusy flavors in there. The seafood boil was super filling and hit the spot if you are craving for some seafood. We also got the Shrimp Gumbo, also super flavorful and spicy. The sauce of the gumbo was a little salty, but I think that's just me not being used to eating foods with salt. Still very delicious nonetheless! Also, when they bring out your food for you, it is SUPER FRESH AND HOT! Directly right off the grill experience. I wanted to eat more of my food but I ended up getting full and I took everything in a to-go box because that's how yummy and delicious the food was.I also tried their Peach Cobbler Beignets for dessert and it was amazingly delicious. The peaches taste like heaven since they are coated with a cinnamon syrup, almost as if it was freshly baked from a pie! The beignet itself soaks up the cinnamon peach syrup perfectly, but not to the point where it gets too soggy. And the beignet itself, it was soft and chewy and not too sweet! The sugar levels balance out perfectly and complement each other and it's not too sugary (which I like), so you're not overwhelmed with sugar, but mainly the flavors of a peach cobbler. It's the perfect dessert if you have a sweet tooth like me.The service feels a little slow, but I believe it's because they are taking the time to give your food fantastic quality, and once you taste it, you can tell that they deeply care about the freshness, the flavors, and quality all around. I would absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for a new food place to try out.

We wanted to check this place out from an instagram video we saw. It's in Imperial Beach but before the pandemic they were located in another part of the city. Eitherway, we were greeted immediately as we went inside. It was so nice to be greeted intentionally. We got to pick where we sat and we were given a good amount of time to review the menu.Honestly, there were so many things I wanted to order. Everything looked so good. There are a few things that they have that are spicy but they are able to dilute the spiciness on some of the meals but jambalaya and gumbo are not one of them. I got the shrimp and grits and I am very cautious about shrimp and grits on the west coast. But man, these were so good! I would definitely order it again. The mac and cheese was spicy so I wasn't able to eat it really. I tried a little bit of it and what I was able to have was tasty. I really am looking forward to come back and try other things on the menu.We also ordered the peach tea and beignets. I will say that the peach tea was too sugary for my taste because Im working on my sugar intake. I also would try a different type of beignet. I like mine puffy and these were fried a little harder than I normally like. As for the ambiance, it felt very relaxed. I felt welcomed and taken care of. We came before the Sunday after church rush and there were just a few of us in the space. You can order delivery from here, I think on ubereats. Check this place out!

1st timer and this place was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is a little old and no one was in there, but the music and vibe was good. The customer service was amazing and a special shout out to Nakia. Thanks Queen for making sure me and my family felt welcomed. Now that food...BABYYYY IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! The watermelon drink, swamp punch and pineapple lemonade were refreshing. Back to the food... EVERYTHING WE GOT WAS GOOD AS HECK!!!! Seasoned, flavorful and fresh. Shrimp and grits, seafood platter, voodoo bowl, turkey leg and grits, red beans and rice, greens, sweet potatoes, beignet (strawberry and pineapple upside down) were fire ASF! I will definitely be here every time I'm in town to visit. Please visit this place...you won't be disappointed!

Once again, this place did not disappoint.I tried a cup of cream of crab soup and a seafood Cobb salad. The soup was rich and buttery with a big scoop of crab. Utterly delicious. The Cobb salad was very good as well. The shrimp and crab had been heated and seasoned so they were warm on top of the greens. The dressing was lime forward and freshly made. Large enough for a second meal the next day.Not to mention the awesome Peach Sweet Tea...The prices aren't low, but you get what you pay for. Plentiful servings of top quality food prepared by someone who knows what they're doing! Worth every penny. The restaurant was chilly inside, with the door propped open to welcome customers. Bring some sleeves.

I saw this restaurant posted in a FB group and we had to try! Got there right when they opened at 11. Upon entering, it's an all black interior, bar in the center and photo area with props of bead necklaces, feathers, masks. We had the opportunity to meet the owner, Nikki. She is so humble, talented and gifted! She needs to be a winner of a cooking show! Prior to this, this was a food truck for 6 years. Mata, the server was also a down to earth guy and he was very quick at his job.We had a wonderful time dining here and our food was beyond delicious. We got the spicy voodoo wings, seafood gumbo, fried fish and shrimp platter, beignets, and bourbon pecan praline bread pudding. We recommend all of it!The spice level was legit. The wings were huge! The catfish and shrimp platter was fried to perfection. So much meat and seafood in the gumbo. The beignets were nice and fluffy, had a bouncy texture in the dough. The bread pudding is a must. Each bite was just yummy awesome gooiness. We were the first one when they opened so we didn't experience a major wait time but keep in mind that everything is made to order and made with love. You'll get fresh and hot ingredients, wanting more when you leave. We will definitely be back to try the crab cakes and other platters.

The food here is amazing! You get a good portion size that is worth the price. The food is well season & TASTE GREAT! This was our first time eating here, but we'll most definitely come back when we are in the area. The staff is friendly with good customer service. It is a quaint place with a Mardi Gras ambiance! We tried a variety of options from Voodoo wings, Old Bay fries for appetizers. Then for our main meal we had Creole Seafood Mac & Cheese along with the catfish& shrimp platter. We finished our meal of with Bourbon Peacn Bread Pudding and Beignets with peaches and cream. If you're ever in Imperial Beach Calfornia or nearby San Diego, I encourage you to stop by and dine at N&N Creole Soul Food & Beignet Bar.
