We went here as a group of 9 on a Saturday night. The service was extremely slow. The drinks was made wrong multiple times and the food order was completely wrong as well. It's amazing that they either forgot the drinks we ordered or came over with different drinks that we didn't order. They were apologetic and gave me some freebies. The food itself was pretty good. The desert option was limited, by limited I mean they only had one option. The bathroom is a mess. The door is made out of cheap light wood and doesn't close or open well. The toilet seat is broken. The sink drain is broken.

I went to Mya by Medi couple of months ago, a new mediterranean spot with a twist. We had a reservation, and while waiting for our table, we could order drinks at the bar. The ambience was great! We tried a few drinks like Tough Love, Apple of My Eye, Love Potion, and For the Love. My favorite was For the Love. For food, we had Spicy Potato, Mediterranean Spinach, Potato Borak, Hummus, and Baba Ghanoush with pita. Potato Borak was my top pick.It gets a bit loud at night, but they have an amazing belly dancer performing. Overall, I'd recommend this place, especially for a new spot. Hopefully, they'll add more food options in the future

Step into Mya by Med, where the ambiance is nothing short of enchanting. The carefully crafted atmosphere sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience, complemented by the mesmerizing performance of an incredible belly dancer. The rhythmic movements and vibrant energy of the dancer add a unique and captivating element to the evening, making it an unforgettable affair. As you navigate through the menu, opinions on the food may vary. While the main dishes receive mixed reviews, there's unanimous acclaim for the appetizers, which manage to leave a lasting impression. The culinary journey at Mya by Med takes an interesting turn with its paid birthday treat policy. It's a departure from the norm, where patrons are accustomed to complimentary celebrations on their special day. This unique approach might be a point of consideration for those planning birthday festivities at the restaurant.Amidst the diverse culinary experiences, the standout feature remains the extraordinary belly dancer, whose performance adds an extra layer of magic to the overall ambiance. Mya by Med offers a fusion of flavors, entertainment, and distinctive policies, making it a place where each visit promises something new and intriguing.

Mya is one of the SEXIEST restaurants I have visited in Chicago. Recently opened this past October, this NEW, modern Mediterranean restaurant in Rivernorth is definitely an experience, with their FIRE DANCERS, speciality cocktails and BEAUTIFUL decor!Eats I tried:Baba Ghanoush Potato BorakGrilled Octous BBQed Half Chicken Biryani Ora King SalmonRicotta Fritter Drinks I tried:Smoke Show - made with Mezcal!Apple of my Eye - includes Basil Hayden & Apple SyrupI can't even pick a dish that was my favorite because everything was so full of flavor! I'm such a fan of Mediterranean food and the flavor composition of these dishes were just awesome. The presentation of the dishes as well were top-notch! The skin on the salmon was cooked so crispy, and the meat was so soft; it melted in your mouth! The potato borak was excellent -fried dough full of seasoned mashed potatoes! I LOVED THE DRINKS! They were very well made and creative and they have quite a few specialty cocktails to try! You also didn't have to worry about missing out on entertainment, because the fire dancer came out about every 30 minutes or so; she also switched up and danced with scarves! Definitely a Mediterranean experience!Perfect for a date night or girls night out - make a reservation and experience Mya yourself!

Came in during restaurant week, and we were able to be seated immediately. The cost of the restaurant week menu was a little deceptive, as the price of their 3 course menu for restaurant week was actually $9 more expensive than if we ordered each of the courses off the standard menu. However, the dips and the veggie tacos we got were really tasty and the drinks list has some nice options. The ambiance is definitely swanky, and towards the end of our dinner a performer came out with a chandelier headpiece which was unexpected and cool!

Entirely disappointing for cocktails. We went here on the promise of a sleek new cocktail lounge. We got a what was a middle eastern restaurant trying to be a night club? I don't know, it's hard to describe. Narrow strip of a room that has some loud music happening as you walk in on a weekend. The high tops were so uncomfortable and small that a couple leaving told us to talk our way into another table. Another couple switched while we were there. The servers seem new, inexperienced and/or too busy. The cocktail list is fairly boring with entirely too much egg white in everything. I like egg white being incorporated but not to mask your lack of creativity. Oh yeah and a belly dancer came out with fire which was fun. Again, what is this place?? lol Didn't try the food but I would rather not come back for the adventure.

I haven't gotten to try Medi yet, but was excited to see the old Hush place be renovated into yet another Mediterranean restaurant in Chicago. To be honest, I'm not sure how well this restaurant will do compared to Lyra or Aba, but considering it's in a totally different area there is some potential! Service was great and decor was nice and club-esque with some classiness to it. There was supposed to be a live performance after our dinner (Friday around 7pm), but we didn't want to wait long for it. I got the tough love cocktail to start; however, this wasn't what I imagined - it was much more on the sweeter side with little spice. We started with the hummus, and this was delicious with the warm pita. DI loved the crispy chickpeas that garnished the dish. My friend and I also shared the fattoush, which was a nice refreshing salad, and the steak frites. The steak frites was super small, but it was deliciously cooked and the Lebanese potatoes were so tasty. The price was expected for an upscale city restaurant. I would recommend trying this spot out for a cute night out, to see the live performance maybe, or a for a swanky date night!

I knew this place would it disappoint because I've been to Medi a few times and loved it there each time I went there. I came here with my friends for my birthday and we had a great time. Service was awesome and the food was amazing! My favorite were the bacon wrapped dates and the lamb shank shawarma. This place is super cute and very instagrammable. Since it was my bday, I received free birthday shots. Thank you Elias!
