My Favorite Deli

I was waiting for my car to be serviced and was hungry and carless in Sodo. I don't often write reviews but this place is great! I walked there and it was very clean with nobody else there. I ordered a breakfast burrito (I didn't see on menu) and she made me a great burrito with hashbrowns. Groovy music like Tom Jones.

They just reopened today after being closed for a year and wow have they changed! Brand new kitchen and dining room and boy, is the staff excited to be back!The menu is new (no breakfast, sadly) but a nice variety. They had a grand re-opening special of a Hamburger meal which included a HUGE hamburger made of Angus beef, leaf lettuce, red onion and some sort of delicious seasoning; a heaping serving of fries, and a fountain drink for only $8.99. There was so much food, their To Go container could barely hold it all!Seriously... the best burger I have had in a long time. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty...reminded me of the type of burger you would make yourself on your own grill in your backyard.If you haven't been here in a while (and from the reviews, it sounds like a lot of the less flattering reviews were from several years ago) give them another try. I've never met a friendlier group of people serving better food at such a reasonable price.

Family run deli and burger joint. The breakfast burritos were delicious and filling (very large). Our group ordered sausage and veggie burritos and everyone was satisfied. Veggie burrito included tomato, onions, olives, eggs, hash browns and cheese.Also ordered deli sandwiches for a hike. Sandwiches were well made and tasty! Only downside was the long wait (granted we had a large order).

Breakfast burritos are bomb.com. This deli got my office hooked on these burritos like crack and then they closed their doors for like a year and half! We finally heard they were going to re-open so we started counting down the days until we could finally get our fix. We were all devastated when they re-opened and told us that they would no longer be doing breakfast. Well, after a week and half of asking for burritos they finally caved. BURRITO TIME! Just picked up 16 burritos this morning! It was a first time for about half the guys at my office. They are officially hooked. We are all prepared to pack on the pounds for the winter!FYI: You wont need anything else to eat until dinner time! These things are about a pound of meat, eggs, hash browns, salsa, cheddar cheese, and cream cheese.If they ever close their doors again you will be reading my yelp reviews for the Betty Ford Addiction Treatment Center.

Warning, menu shown in picture is out dated, obviously, as I did not get what I thought I ordered :( Went for the H-7 Hawaiian, which advertised ham, swiss, pineapple, lettuce & tomato, w/ teriyaki sauce, $6.99. The first 3 ingredients were correct, but NO LETTUCE, OR TOMATO, and instead of yummy teriyaki sauce, it was SMOTHERED w/ BBQ sauce, so extremely messy! and of course all I could taste was BBQ sauce!! :( and it costs $8.99, not $6.99. VERY disappointed, I should have examined closer & complained when I was there (got to go). First time tried, I don't think I'll be back.

I really want to like this place, but I'm disappointed every time. Firstly, the prices are absolutely insane. I paid $15 for a cobb salad that barely filled the to-go container. The salad comes with honey mustard dressing, which I strongly dislike. So, I asked for ranch instead. It was until I got back to the office to eat my lunch that I realized I was still given honey mustard. I understand orders come out wrong sometimes, but this was a simple substitution and the place wasn't overwhelmingly busy.

Bought some bagels and cookies from this place in the University ave. I would say A good bagel should have a dark crust with a dense, chewy interior. It shouldn't be too bready or too flat, and the hole in the middle of the bagel should be small, not much larger than the width of a couple fingers. you can also have some quick food such as sandwich for lunch. It's not big and it is for quick serve.

This is not my favourite deli because the staff are plain rude. Talk about attitude served with a side of contempt! These workers definitely make anyone who doesn't look like them feel the Seattle Freeze. If you want overpriced coffee and stale pastries, go to Starbucks. At least there's ambience.

I had a wonderful breakfast there a few days ago. Very clean and comfortable inside. The prices are great! Latte and a big breakfast for under $15. I'll definitely be coming back here often.

The staff are nice, the establishment itself is immaculately clean. HOWEVER, the prices are absolutely outrageous. If you want to pay $7 for half of a sandwich that you could make at home, then this is the place for you. They are charging Specialty's Café prices for a product that is, in my opinion, sub-par.
