Music City Bar and Grill

Great loud music in the classic honkytonk. The crowd today was older, maybe average age of 65. Everyone friendly and having a good time. Drinks ok. Limited menu, the pizza $26 tasted frozen. Get something else. Lots of free parking.

It's a dive bar, but good ole country music done well. Not a lot to eat but will get you thru.

Loved this bar! It was very what I picture an authentic not touristy Nashville bar to be. The live music was great! They only play older country here. I think i was told nothing after the early 90s but they wouldn't play a song i requested from John Michael Montgomery so maybe late 80s and before. It was just such a fun time.

Unfortunately for the bar, the service was very sub-par. Out of towners here for a visit. Sat unattended for over 5 minutes. Finally walked to bar to order 4 drinks. Several minutes later a server finally asked if we needed anything so we asked for menus. Nearly 8 minutes later she finally asked if we wanted to order. Although our food came quickly, we had no napkins or utensils. The older band was fun and entertaining and we enjoyed watching the dancers but the lack of service spoiled it for us. Even a "regular" told us to go elsewhere for food. We should have listened. $10 for 5 cheesesticks is highway robbery, even in a bar setting!!!3 star is stretching it!!

Food was OK had hamburger and onion rings. Onion rings weren't anything special Nice beer selection. Service from bar was friendly and excellent. Music was goodPs they do not honor the free beer from yelp upon check in.Claim it is a scam

Wow, it's a little jarring how country this place is... once I was over the initial shock of Jacob basically calling me a city girl in a honky tonk bar, I was in love. Definitely one of my favorite discoveries during a recent Nashville trip. My friend and I sat in the back room until the main crowd died down. We could still clearly enjoy the live country music. It was incredible.I had a few Gin & Tonics. Got Hot Wings and Mozzarella Sticks for dinner. Superb and honestly way better quality than I expected for how divey everything felt. Proved me wrong! Eventually we made our way to the other side of the bar and made friends closing it down with us. We wanted to come back but didn't have a chance during our convention week. Next time for sure!

If a free draft beer comes up when you check in, don't expect to actually get it. They say they are independently owned and don't know anything about it

I absolutely LOVE this bar. I came down from Illinois with my best friend to visit my sister & this was one of her recommendations & it did not disappoint. They had a fun cartwheel contest, that I won because I'm amazing, that involved the whole bar. Kennedy, the bartender, is so attentive & makes sure to take care of every guest even with a full bar. She freakin rocks! The vibe in here is very chill & not too crazy when we were here. No ridiculously long lines for a drink & no shoving past people to get anywhere. A friend i was with ordered 3 different menu items & all were delicious & the service was speedy. We will definitely be coming back here next time we're in town & suggest you give it a try too.

Visiting Nashville for the first time we stopped in to Music City Bar & Grill. Great small venue. Food was pretty good, drinks fair priced, music was great, and the crowd was not loud. All in all a great experience. Highly recommend.

The place itself wasn't bad, but the service was awful. Our server was very rude and completely inattentive. We only saw her very briefly in the 90 minutes we were there. She came over when we ordered what we THOUGHT would be our first drinks and then she completely ignored us, despite repeated attempts at getting her attention, not so much as a glance. We finally just asked for our check because she never bothered come back to check on us. Yes, it was a busy Thursday evening and she was pregnant, but that was really no excuse for such poor customer service. And don't bother buying the $15 for $30 deal from Yelp, they will not honor it. She claims it was a deal started by the former owners. So that was a wasted $15. If you're in the area, just go across the parking lot to The Scoreboard, excellent food, excellent, friendly service and great music!!
