It's been a while since I've been here but just as yummy as ever! This place is big, and I was so excited to find out that they offered breakfast (limited) aside from Sunday brunch and champagne. Came here for a girl catchup session and couldn't have been happier with our food, service, and drinks. This place is located right past Rohr Park in Chula/Bonita area and has plenty of parking every time I've come, but I can seek during normal eating hours that parking could be scarse. I've never had a bad experience or a bad food experience. Highly recommend giving them a try for more of an upscale mexican homey feeling restaurant, this is the place. Also a great place for a margarita.

Okay.I'll start with the good. The environment was great. They play live music for you and they take family photos (for purchase at the end). Drinks were always filled.But... the food tasted okay for the price. The dessert was on the soggy side. Multiple people at the table asked for one fajita to share and were brought a fajita for two which of course costs more. I also got very sick that night and the next morning, I'm not sure if it was related but it definitely didn't make me want to go back

Good food, friendly/ pretty fast customer service and comparable prices for restaurant. Much better than any place in Old Town (don't hate me) , normally go with the comal but friends/family have gotten a variety of other dishes and overall always is a hit.Have tried their margaritas and overall solid and consistent. Customer service normally very friendly. We haven't hit long wait times and waiters are pretty on top of it with checking in on you (highly appreciated when you have a bigger party or kids with you). Top contender for Mexican food if you're near South Bay.

I ordered the tamale dinner and we ordered a cheese enchilada & they brought a beef enchilada. They brought a cheese enchilada after we told them the order was wrong. I love tamales but these just didn't taste right. The service really was terrible. Once they delivered our food it was like we didn't exist. We had to wave them over to get our drinks refilled. They brought chips and salsa to the table & I usually enjoy them but these were way over cooked. I will never eat here again. Find someplace else to eat, don't waste your money! I'd rather eat at Taco Bell.

I live very close to this place. When I first tried it years ago it was bad. I had to meet some family friends about two months ago. They chose Murrieta's. I thought "Okay, maybe the place has gotten better." NO!!! It's still bad. The service is great. Waiters are nice and friendly, but the food is awful. I don't understand how they've survived. The food flavorless. It's almost like a last minute thought. Save yourself time and money. Don't go!

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and now I am mad that I waited so long. The restaurant makes you feel like you are in Mexico. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed beautiful and festive music. The inside is very comfortable and has a great vibe. The food was so good. We had the sampler plate and the shrimp cocktail to start. Two of us had the Champagne Showers Margaritas and the other had the Strawberry Margarita. Drinks were just the right ratio of liquor and very tasty. Our party ordered the chimichanga, chipotle enchiladas, and a make your own combo with a chicken enchilada and chili rellano. The food was so flavorful and the wait staff were very attentive and welcoming. This is definitely a favorite! They offer a Champagne Brunch on the weekends and I am definitely coming. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and I would highly recommend.

Murrietas has been around forever. I go once to twice a month. The service is always excellent. Valeria is fantastic!! Even when crowded I have never felt rushed. I have discovered great items like Chile Colorado which has a deep richness that reminds me of unforgettable meals in Mexico City.

Today for lunch my husband and I decided to give this place a try after driving around. The minute we came into the place the lady greeted us with a smile and walked us to our seat. As we walked through the restaurant you can see the Mexican vibe throughout the restaurant. The lighting was just the right amount of ambiance for dinning in the afternoon. As we looked over the menu the gentleman came with the chips and salsa with side order of carrots and jalapeños. The chips was warm and so crispy . The food in general was amazing from start to finish .

Great guacamole and chips, everything else is just ok at best. Fish tacos were the worst I've ever had anywhere. Forget the "roasted" veggies in anything, such as the veggie tamales. They are like canned mixed vegetables. Horrible. Service is spotty. Atmosphere is great and seating is plentiful inside and out. Love the live music.
