Husband and I found a hidden treasure tonight. This humble little restaurant in a strip mall in Auburn is the domain of an amazing chef who has created menus for exclusive restaurants around the middle east, the kind of places maharajahs and princes eat at. The place looks like any fast food teriyaki or paper-plate-and-plastic-spork joint but do not be fooled. The food here is five-star in every way.The chef just arrived here 6 months ago, showed me pictures on his phone from the restaurants he's been at, and the food was plated like art.He makes everything fresh for you when you order, nothing preheated before you got there, this is SERIOUSLY THE BEST Indian food I've ever had. Like, EVER. My Chicken Tikka came with the loveliest tomato rose I've ever seen, and the vegetables were a perfect compliment to the perfectly tender chicken.Do yourself a favor and eat here. Or get GrubHub from here. Or get catering. Before some Michelin star restaurant finds this guy and scoops him up. Because I'm guessing they will.Seriously. Not sure when this place popped up. We tried it out twice before giving a review. Not many vegan options. Wish they cooked more dishes with a dairy free option. Nice place to dine-in but they also to orders for pick up etc. friendly customer service. This small place can get pretty busy. We tried lamb, shrimp and goat dishes with some side choices. Ordering portions are shareable for a part of two.

Finally posting this review. My friend and I were craving Indian food and found ourselves in Auburn trying Mumbai Grand. We immediately received a friendly greeting from the proprietor. The menu was extensive but we settled on the garlic na'an, tandoori tikka chicken and butter chicken. I have never had better na'an in my life. It was absolutely phenomenal. The tandoori chicken was so tender and flavorful. I have to say, I think it was also the best I've experienced. I need to try everything on their menu. Can't wait to go back!!

It's a small new spot in Auburn. Easy to miss but next to the giant main supermarket. Tried it for the first time via GrubHub , food was fresh and tasty. The person at the counter was super humble and sweet. Definitely recommend to support them.

This is some of the best Indian food I've ever had!! It's flavorful, good spice level, etc. I've tried butter chicken, narvana chicken, bhartha, and aloo matar and all are delicious. The narvana chicken was a bit spicy for me but the raita balanced it out. Tonight we got the mixed tandoori grill - I was shocked at the amount of food and how tender the meat was! Their samosa and naan is among the best I've had. Honestly I haven't had anything I haven't loved.

Food here is great! Not only that but it's a great value as well. Ordered 4 butter chicken curries to provide guests at the house and everyone loved it. I'll have to come back to try the other curries next time. Restaurant is right off of Main Street in Auburn and there's free parking as well. Inside there's room for about 25-30 people to sit down. Staff are friendly and the owners mentioned that they opened about 10 months ago. They even threw in an extra naan for us because of our large order.

Extremely slow, food boarderline room temperature, bland garlic naan, ordered food same time as a family next to me and got my food 30 minutes after they did, as well as had 6 pickup orders before I got my order. Should not have tipped. Wish I could give 0 stars.

First time trying this place. Nice little hole in the wall. My lady who is super picky says she would go back. We ordered take out. Entree Portion size is excellent. One side order of basmati rice can support 2 main entrees, it's that big! At 9 pm at night all the ingredients tasted fresh. Not sitting for hours on end. Enjoy !
