I love coming to Mr. Kimchi whenever I'm craving for Korean bbq! This place satisfies all your meat cravings! Mr. Kimchi is located in a plaza with lots of parking. I highly recommend trying to go during off peak hours. They can get very busy and packed during dinner rush and the wait can be up to 2 hours! They will only seat you when everyone in your party is present. They do take reservations with larger parties. Their meat quality is a lot better than most AYCE places and the flavor is on point. We would always order many dishes of their bulgogi, brisket, garlic pork belly, KFC chicken and soy bean soup! If this is your first time here, you will not be disappointed!

If you love meat and Korean bbq, Mr Kimchi is definitely the best there is. There are two locations, both of them in Mount Prospect. This one is located in Randhurst Mall and is a lot more updated and modern compared to their other location on Golf Road. There are two tiers of menu. Both are all-you-can-eat (AYCE), but you can pick either the "regular" or "premium tier". There are 22 items to choose from for regular tier, "premium" consisting of 30. The price difference, as of July 2024 is only $5, but looking at items, and considering there were 6 of us, we went with the regular tier. Note, everyone at the table need to be on the same AYCE tier.My top-3 were:1. BRISKET2. BULGOGI 3. GALBI (Marinade Boneless Short Rib)In terms of sides, you can't go wrong with the fish cake, and steamed egg. So good. Service was good, food was good, and the overall experience was pants-busting good.BATHROOM REVIEW: Decent bathroom with all that you need to get the job done. Sit or squat? Squat.

Mr. Kimchi at Randhurst offers one of the best Korean AYCE BBQ experiences in the suburbs. You can choose between the premium option at $34.95 per person or the regular option at $29.95. The premium selection includes about eight additional items, notably Galbi and beef intestines. Our party opted for the regular menu, which was more than sufficient. The quality of the cuts, particularly the beef brisket and pork belly, was impressive, and the portions were generous. The side dishes were a highlight, with the cheese corn, spicy tofu soup, and soybean soup standing out as exceptional.Service was top-notch; the staff frequently checked on our grill and replaced it as needed to ensure our meal was perfect. An 18% gratuity is included in the bill, making for a seamless dining experience.

It was my first time trying Mr. Kimchi. We went for lunch and we happen to come at a perfect time for their lunch special. You pay $19.95 for all you can eat for 2 hours. Our server was really nice and explained how things worked. Our favorite was the marinated beef, the cheesy corn, the kimchi, and the fried chicken. We were impressed how the server would come and change out the grill after certain meats are cooked. We loved the ambiance, it wasn't super loud, and perfect for a lunch date. I would definitely go back and I would recommend trying Mr. Kimchi.

Service was spot on and atmosphere was great, with loud music and sizzling noises sans smells thanks to the little tabletop chimneys above the grill. I think the servers here must rotate cuz we kept getting different guys, but everyone was nice and great. We had the regular all you can eat on a Sunday so we didn't get their discount but I thought it was worth it. We had the brisket, thin pork belly, garlic pork belly, pork neck (which was a big steak size that we had to cut up), bulgogi and spicy pork. The thin cut meats weren't as thin as I'm used to. The bulgogi was too sweet but the spicy pork was great. For a second visit, I'd stick to the brisket, garlic pork belly, and spicy pork. Or maybe try the premium for the intestines and kalbi (though I think the kalbi would be using the same marinate as the bulgogi and be too sweet). Honest opinions as a Korean housewife:Sundubu- okEgg- okSoy bean soup- too saltyChicken- this one was great!!!Cheesy corn- okKimchi-ok, but kinda dry (?) so not great to grillOverall, yes I'd come back, especially for their $20 lunch specials!

The best ayce Korean bbq spot in Illinois! I've been here probably 15 times since opening at randhurst and it's still the best! Amazing service and the quality of meats is A+. The side choices and bonchon is so good too. Will be a lifelong customer, thanks Mr. Kimchi!

My friends and I came here on a Saturday night a little after 9. We were told that the kitchen closes at 10:30 thinking we had plenty of time to eat. We agreed that it was fine and were seated. The server greeted us pretty quickly and placed our orders in. The meats were good. The usual ones they have at other kbbq places. I always love the beef brisket especially when I can get it a bit crispy. We were also only allowed to order 3 meats at a time which is okay. I do love how they have the little fab above the grill to suck up all the smoke. I had no issues with the service or selection on the menu. What I did have an issue with are the hours. It shows online and at the restaurant that they close at midnight. The server asked for our last order right before 1030 because the kitchen was closing (which I completely understand). As soon as the last order came, they switched the grill for us for a new, clean one, and brought out the check. No rush they said. Yet, every couple minutes someone walked by, looking at us, cleaning the tables around us, making us feel rushed to leave. We paid and were working on finishing what we had ordered. People at the booth over were workers waiting for us to finish and clean our table. Someone else was walking back and fourth and turned off the music. Once we finished eating, they were friendly and said goodbye. Then turned off all the lights once we were out the door. Long story short, don't come here late if you don't plan on leaving at or before 1030. If they're in a rush, they should change their hours to close at 11 or even 1030. I didn't appreciate feeling rushed to leave when they're supposed to be open until midnight.

We had a group of 4 at this AYCE. We went premium menu plus there was a Thursday night bonus (extra strip steak). We were able to try many of the meats, including the bulgogi, galbi, wine pork belly, spicy pork, spicy squid, etc. But we kept going back to the galbi! Marinades are delicious and the meat kept coming! You get 3 meats per round and the staff sets out a fresh pan each time. There are extra stipulations around automatic gratuity, leftover food penalties, etc. I know we were all pretty full at the end of 3 or 4 rounds, but all these extra are a bit of a drag though they are pretty commonplace at these AYCE places, even at the $34.95 premium price tag.Hoping to get back in the future with some bigger eaters soon!

Great food, wide range of meats. Very casual ambiance, and while it can get quite busy, servers are very attentive and always ready to serve!
