Mr Greek Gyros

Had a real enjoyable experience at this spot on the night of the 4th. It was not the best gyro I've ever had but the cashier who took our order was super kind/patient. It was a busy night and he could have easily rushed us, been impatient but it was anything but that. The food also came out very quick, I'm talking like no more than 5 minutes if that and it was busy. Nice food and better service, would definitely come back.

Very fast and cheap combo meals, as well as their large milkshakes are HUGE! The spot is spacious and nice spot to get any work done.

Food: 8/10Service: 0/10This has been my go to spot and favorite gyro from the city for a while now until tonight. I ordered from door dash (per usual for me), and never had an issue. Tonight I placed an order for pickup and not even 2 minutes went by before they marked the food as ready and marked my order as complete. I called to let them know/ see if I could still pick up my order, as they collected my $80, but as soon as I said door dash he cut me off from talking, told me to contact door dash and hung up. As you can see in the screenshots, and the whole reason behind me calling, is this is not a door dash issue. I've worked in fast food before and they (the restaurant) are the ones who mark the order as ready and complete.All in all, be weary if you're ordering from door dash and also just dealing with a business like this in general. Being busy is one thing, but this is just shady. If you don't care about ethics, calling in or placing an order there seems to be your best bet.Really disappointing for somebody who loves to order from here

The food here is very average. Not great not bad. I really had a horrible time last time I was here. The manager who tends to the cash register has a real attitude problem. He messed up my order and when I asked him for a refund he was confrontational and rude and then denied to give me one. He said sorryyyy bro dis is our policy. He made no attempt to remedy the situation. I'll never spend money here again and used to come for convenience.

Haven't had a Chicago Gyros in some time. I had been craving one for so long I had one at Nick The Greeks is Daly City Westlake California. I was disappointed by their cost cutting and French Fry portion size by putting five or six fries in the sandwich and decreasing the meat portion. Then I went to Mr. Greeks yesterday and got the awesome gyro ample portion size, and the 1lb paper bag side of fries, and a drink to help lubricants the passageway that was about to be stuffed. So...so good!

This place must've advertised Charbroiled Chicken at least 5 times all over the restaurant, I went inside to have a what I thought was going to be "Charbroiled "Chicken Breast on a Pita ,do you wanna know what I didn't get that wasn't "CHARBROILED "the chicken pita number 2! The service was good ,ambience looked like everyone picked it because of the price and location. What I'm disappointed at is the options I had around me and picked this one. Taziki sauce was spoiled, and the cucumbers in it were rotten. Just a piece of advice to those who prepare the food '"If a bunch of sour liquid is sitting on top throw it away ". The moral of this story is to be aware any restaurant that has to say in bold letters "NO REFUNDS " typically makes horrible food. This place gave me the runs afterwards and I know it did. Soda fountain drinks taste like it hasn't been serviced in a while, I'd call the vendor.

Imagine a big, honkin' piece of meat. It rotates slowly on a spit, with a heating element or a flame behind it. You order a gyro, and a guy with a knife or shaving machine buzzes off a little bit. That delicious, roasted, savory steak or whatnot goes right into your gyro. Add some veggies and feta, and allow me to welcome you to heaven.Now imagine you are shopping at Aldi. Sometimes in their frozen department, they have something called a gyro. It's alright; for frozen food, it's very passable. The meat is heavily processed, but what would you expect?I can tell you for sure when I go to Greektown, and I eat at a place called "Mr. Greek," I expect the former, not the latter. They did have some kind of meat roasting on the spit mentioned earlier. However, when I got my order (#1 combo - gyro w/ fries and medium drink), they might as well have gotten that garbage at Aldi. This was the same warm (read: not hot), heavily processed, over-salted junk. The pita and sauce were fine, though the onions and tomatoes seemed to be thrown on as an afterthought. The fries were hot, fresh, and cooked nicely but had no seasoning (salt packets are available).

I forgot to take pics!!! I wanted something quick and decided to go here. I have been going here since their glory days. Well those days are so over. The chicken pita was tough: the frozen chicken strips were hard to chew, lettuce was crying, sweet & hot peppers gave up. No flava whatsoever. The rice was gummy, tasteless. My friend had a burger which he said tasted frozen like. The fries were actually the best part of the meal. They reduced the size of the fountain cups but u can still get refills. Also it's expensive too. $32 for a chicken pita combo and a single burger combo. So not worth it. I'll give Zeus' a try, a spot behind them on Jackson. Definitely divorcing my business with them effective immediately.

Some say good and cheap. Well lately it hasn't been good, and no longer cheap either.Their French Fries I never cared for, mushy, not good, but there's no discount by just ordering a Gyro Sandwich by itself, same price regardless. The Gyro Meat was hit or miss before, but lately I've noticed the flavor is definitely not the same. Either they changed Suppliers, or are buying lower grade Gyro Cones.As for cheap, the last 3 times I walked in there in the last 3 months there have been price increases every time. Thus they aren't such a deal anymore IMO.

I ordered my order on GrubHub called Mr Greek to ask if they can please double the fries I put it in the comments and I called the store supposedly the manager answered the phone very rude in answering no help at all I was calling ahead to make sure that they can double my fries I stead of the Greek fries and he kept on insisting that I call GrubHub I asked if he speaks Spanish since clearly he is not understanding me when he got even worsted I told him he is not friendly to his customers when I am placing an order to prevent from it being wrong and contact grubhub. I just hope it comes with correctly, horrible service. I've worked in customer service and never spoke to any of my customers the way this manager did. I should've cancelled my order and ordered somewhere else but it was for me and my daughter. He wouldn't even give me his name as a manager.
