Mr Biryani

This place is great, they have very delish food with good protions. The samosas are great apps and they have many biryani specials. We talked to a very kind lady and she was able to help us order depending on the spice level, wet or dry chicken or vegetarian. This restaurant is inside a cool grocery store, so you can order and then go shopping so you can take your food home. We decided to eat there and it was nice.

I enjoyed the biryani and decided to try some curries. They were very oily and the meat pieces were mostly inedible cartilage and bones. The curry's are a low price because the meat they are using is just bones. We were constantly digging through inedible pieces of meat in the goat curry and gongura chicken

The restaurant is inside the Namaste market and has multiple locations in the Bay Area. Parking was easy. Service was good.Ordered California Butter chicken curry combo which comes 3 pieces of roti(Indian bread/tortilla); and nethi mamsam roast biryani. The rice was a little dry to my taste; however, the curry, meat and rice were well spiced and seasoned. Tasted yummy! Will go back and try other dishes.

I love Indian food, but have had the problem of finding real buttery Indian cuisine as lot of the restaurants these days are new generation opting for vegetable oil over ghee. This place is the real deal tho, the bones were still in mutton, the sauces were fattening (in a good way) and boy could I taste the difference of then using quality authentic cooking fats. I applaud the owners for the not catering to the vegans, and keeping most of their menu vegetarian & omnivorous . Cause boy it tastes better than any other place ive been to in SoCal. On a side note the market has a lot of super niche finds that I'll have to get later myself once I finally bite the bullet and try cooking Indian food at home.

This is pseudo authentic, or read as authentic it can be in San Diego. It is in a grocery store, no frills, almost like a cafeteria. You order at the counter and wait for your food. They cook to order for each, unlike many Indian restaurants. They also taste more like a proper desi one. The family biriyani package is excellent, when you are too tired and your weekend cooked food is either over or too stale. Have to try out their other offerings.

Very delicious biryani I give a 10 out of 10 went for the grand open for buy get one free overalls like a lot definitely be back to try more dish any this from north California I'm surprised open it in San Diego

Food is delicious, but extremely slow. Order well ahead of time, like honestly 45-60 min before you want your food to have it ready. We have ordered over the phone and in person multiple times, they always tell us around 15-20 min, and we're always left waiting at the store for roughly an hour after we arrive for the food.

I had ordered a special boneless chicken biryani, the order was a disaster, I have never been more disappointed with food in the recent times as today,Tl;dr - better to try other Indian food places than this. So badProblem 1 - Cold food, biryani was cold, eating cold biryani is like the worst thing ever, they did not cook it fresh and just tried to heat it up in microwave before sending it out and even that they could not do properly.Problem 2 - The taste, taste was non existent, the chicken was heavy with food color, no salt no chilli, nothing literally nothing, special chicken biryani should have masala in it, but it did notProblem 3 - Rice, the most unflavored rice ever, if food can have feelings, the dish represents indifference, it feels as if life has been sucked out of the dishProblem 4 - Hair in dishProblem 5 - Raita is spoilt, they did not refrigerate the rita well, the yogurt/curd broke

We ordered Roasted Goat biryani and Chicken biryani. Flavor was "OK". Meat was very dry. There are better biryani places in San Diego.

Bold claim going by the name Mr. Biryani. As soon as I saw 20 different biryanis on the menu, I should have turned around. The rice is not cooked along with the meat, so there is no flavor. Rice was dry and over cooked, salaan and raitha were watery and tasteless. The only good part of our meal were the fresh samosas. Mutton biryani had 2 pieces of mutton and rest only bones, chicken was very dry.Go to Charminar or Paradise, this place isn't worth it.
