This place is definitely going down as one of the of my favorite places for Birria. I ordered the nachos and was very satisfied with my order, what surprised me most was the amount of birria in this plate. They DEFINITELY did not hold back. Flavor was great, and loved the chili oil provided (might have to ask for an extra one or two next time. The salsas were also tasty and had a nice little kick to them. My friends ordered the Ramen and really enjoyed it, so I'll have to try that next! As for the location, it's a modest little restaurant in a somewhat order shopping strip. There's only a couple tables and it's more of a "fast food" dining experience. So keep all of that in mind. That being said, the cashiers were friendly and helpful with suggestions. And you could tell they were attentive with getting orders sent to the kitchen; they quickly returned to the register when customers walked in. Their drinks are bottled or canned, with the except of some of the classics, like horchata. Clearly, I was very satisfied my first time in. I'll be returning and give an update when I do.

It seems like they are strictly operating out of their food truck in the parking lot right now as the inside of their store front looked to be under construction. There weren't any tables or chairs set up outside so we had to take our order to go. We ordered birria ramen, birria crispy tacos, and a surf and turf burrito. All of these got soggy by the time we got home, especially the burrito that needed to be eaten with a knife and fork. The outside tortilla needed to be crisp more to prevent it from getting soggy. My husband thought this was just ok, and reminded him of a tex-mex burrito. Despite the ramen being overcooked due to the long drive home and the now soft tacos, the flavor was excellent. The consome was rich and hearty, and the meat was tender and succulent. Portion was also big. The tacos tasted great after a few minutes in the oven. There was no saving the soggy noodles though. Definitely ask for the noodles separate if you won't enjoy them right away. The salsas were good and really spicy, even the green one. Plenty of radish and limes were given. Their menu with prices are online.

This is the best Birria I have every had, including in Mexico. The meat was absolutely well cooked, high quality Beef necks, not chewy or rubbery, the broth was like bone broth. The spice level moderate, and very very tastyI am told the chef has been making Birria for 40 years, and it shows. The tortillas were fresh made that day from a bakery, and had the real authentic corn flavor....also had the Ramen which was as good as the regular birria, just with ramen! Thanks very much!I cant wait to return for a Torta and Queso Taco.

My go to place for very good birria. I've tried the tacos, ramen and quesadilla. I would say the Birria quesadilla is the best one. It's so loaded with birria and cheese. You could honestly eat for 2-3 days on that thing. So yummy and full of flavor. They give you a green sauce and red sauce and red chili sauce when you order to go. They also throw in some radishes and lime slices. A prefect side for texture and acid. Beware of the red salsa because that sucker will Jew your tongue burning for a good while. The inside of the place is small with like 6 tables or so and some outside tables as well. The staff has always been pleasant with no complaints there. I would go again and again with true Latin flavors .

Came by here a few times already... weekend/weekday evenings both had steady stream of customers taking to go as well as dining in. Food was ready about 10 mins after ordering... clean dining area, friendly ladies at the counter. The quesotaco with its juicy birria was delicious... rolled tacos, crunchy... we also ordered a torta.. it was huge.. but also so tasty. Honestly very satisfied w the whole meal. Not much else to say, it was delicious. They have some desserts we need to try next time we visit!Prices are comparable to other like places..

We returned to Mr. Birria for a to go order.I had the full order of Beef Stew (birria) with corn tortillas. $16 It was a huge portion, I got six meals out of it. The birria was robust and flavorful with a nice heat to it. A squeeze of the fresh lime really brightened it up. I loved the street taco sized tortillas that were served with it. They gave me a stack of eight.Becky chose the Birria Nachos. $16 Shredded beef, chips, nacho cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream, jalapenos, guacamole. Another huge portion that she could not possibly finish. She ate what she could, then saved all of the leftover beef and toppings. She tossed the remaining soggy chips. With the leftovers we made tacos. We also made nachos with our own chips. With the rest I made a shredded beef chili.32 bucks, but we got about 12 meals out of it. Service at the store was quick and friendly. I grabbed a Pacifico to drink while I waited and had to chug it LOL! My food was already prepared and waiting for pick up. Well inside of the estimated 10 minute ETA.

Summary: Yes Yes Yes I'd come back for more. FOOD: it is only my third time eating birria, but I love every try ingredient we ordered: birria burrito, birria tacos, queso tacos, and the special (noodles with lots of soup) Birria Tacos - Meat was tender and juicy, no fatty parts or Sauce is not salty. Though I prefer my tacos to be a little burnt and crunchy, these tacos were good. But I think adding salsa to the tacos made it better; I think it ties all the flavors together. Portion is good enough, I've seen more. The soup - goooood portion. But the Asian in me wants more of that noodles. The noodles are like the noodles you get when getting food from a Korean budajigae. The soup is better with the provided cilantro and onions. I just have one beef about this soup: the veggies are not fresh. You can tell the onions are old, and the lemons too. Because of this, it ruined the taste of the soup. Birria Burrito - this is huge! You will have extra for your next meal. Good meat, sauce just right. PARKING: lots and it's free SERVICE: Good. Polite and friendly folks. Though tables were not cleaned. You can tell the tables were cleaned by the previous customer who sat on those tables. I went to three tables, and I wiped all three. Note though, they won't check on you, it's not that kind of restaurant. SPACE: Enough, about 10 tables? Relaxed very casual vibe. No need to bring your fancy clothes or bring them if that's what your vibe.

This is what we get for getting birria in Santee LOL. 35 + tip bucks you get 4 tacos the size of half dollars. Tiny, tiny tacos. 1.5 bites each. And 2 drinks. If you want birria that's just as good, if not better, go down south to Main Street in Chula Vista and take your pick on any taco shop. They use normal size tortillas and like 3x the amount of meat per taco. 3 stars because the birria is actually good, but we left there starving
