Mountain View Diner

Nice little diner with classic vibes on highway 2. Food was simple but cooked really well. Can't really go wrong with this spot for a good old american breakfast. Service was a little hectic but I think they were short handed and they were still very nice.

This place has been here for a long time, and it's still a very good place to eat. I had the Big Chief, it's massive. We stopped in about noon and hit a lunch rush. If you're the impatient type, I'd avoid this time as there's not that many tables. We had about a fifteen minute wait. I do recommend this place.

Stopped at this place on our way to Leavenworth. It was on the side of the road and we said- why not? We got there 1 hour before closing and they were very nice and very quick. The food was amazing and the steak tasted so fresh and juicy! The chef even asked for my opinion about the steak if I was willing to share. (It was the best I've had in a while) Waitress was really sweet and the entire experience was one we will remember. The inside was cute- and quaint and lots of interesting magazine covers from the 1930's- 1980's. Highly recommend this place

Classic diner vibes and a good rest spot after skiing. Generous portions and sides to choose from. The seafood is good and the service is attentive and excellent

Yummy in my tummy. Great local spot with good homemade food. Made me miss home and my grandma's biscuit and gravy.The desserts are out of this world too!

Great breakfast, great service, home town cooking doesn't get better than that. Feels like what you would get in a beautiful town like Gold bar. Stop here for breakfast you won't regret it.

I visited the Mountain View Diner early on a Sunday morning before a long day of hiking in the mountains. It is an old school diner feel with booths and bar top seating. There is a revolving pie/dessert carousel in the middle of the diner filled with delicious looking pies, cinnamon rolls, and cakes. With all that said it was a great atmosphere, especially on a rainy northwest morning.I had the rather large 8 egg "Stuff Yer Belly Omelette" with hash browns/toast and a side of pancakes. Sadly I did not get a photo of the food but I can report it was all absolutely delicious! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My coffee cup never reached the bottom and I never had to really wait long for anything. All in all it was a great experience and a perfect way to start off or end a day of outdoor activity in the area. I highly recommend, and I will most certainly be back.

Excellent small town diner in Gold Bar, Wa. Really good food, and excellent breakfast options! Stop by on your way out of town on Hiway 2. Eggs Benedict with homemade hollandaise on the weekends!

Stopped in for breakfast on June 19, I had sausage and eggs and my wife had a single huge tasty pancake. My link sausage, eggs, and hash browns were delicious- with hash browns being as good as I've ever had.The people working there were friendly, nice, served you with a genuine smile.We will returning for sure and I highly recommend this establishment!

Its a decent local dinner. Service is usually fine and the food is pretty good. I wish their fries were better but there are plenty of good options. It's a little expensive for what you get and the desserts taste great but are really expensive.
