Had a great experience eating here with a large group of about 70 people. The twin lobster was the star of the show!!!

Wow. I ordered a lobster roll for take out during a craving on a work day. When I picked it up, the bartender told me it would be the best lobster roll ever. And yes, it was amazing! I would say the roll was a little crunchy for my taste but the lobster salad inside was fantastic. Lightly dressed and huge chunks. This was at least half a lobster. I also got my side as half fries half onion rings and both were really good. Soft batter and decently sized orings so they didn't fall apart. The bartender even grabbed me some ketchup before I remembered to ask. I'll definitely be back next time I'm craving lobster

Great food, decent prices and old school charm. I ate my weight in fried clams. Minus one star for surly service (it was probably an off night). I have told a few friends to come here and they really liked the generous portions of sand dabs.

We had a great experience here. The food was terrific. Homey, hearty and well cooked with large portions. The tips were soooo tasty with the perfect amount of marinade. Boiled dinner was large and yummy. Nice piece of prime rib too!! Staff was amazing, down to earth and social. Loved it here!! Parking right across the street!

If you like old-school New England food, this is the place. The service is great, but the decor is old and needs a revamp. I love their Turkey Dinner on Sunday, and their twin lobster deal is the best around.

Incredible hole in the wall. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the bartender and local patrons. You can watch a game, gamble, or get the most insane lobster dinner on earth. They are know for a lobster stuffed with lobster. That's right. Come here for the New England cuisine, authentic Boston atmosphere and cold beer.

Nice neighborhood business. We ate lobster and Maine steamers which were good. Staff attentive. Parking in back of building. Steady local business on Sunday for buffet.

This is an excellent place to eat.I have had the prime rib and the baked stuffed shrimp. I would say both of those meals are definitely two of the best options on their menu. Both of those dishes come with potatoes and vegetables.The stuffing they make for the shrimp is very flavorful and the meal is very filling.The prime rib always comes out to me cooked just the way I like it and is always delicious.They have plenty of comfortable seating and the waitstaff is always pleasant and provides excellent service.I always enjoy eating here.

Had to update my review because it was from a few years ago. Still LOVE this place. Best lobster special in southern New England. Jan has been our waitress for years and is awesome!! Our bartender friend is great too!! Very old fashioned New England restaurant here. Don't expect a snooty expensive Boston restaurant. This place is real, family owned, and has great, hearty food. Come here when you're tired of the pretentious, expensive restaurants.

The Mount Vernon has great homestyle food. My favorite is the roast beef sandwich with onion rings. I also love the french onion soup. Great food, good service and fair prices.
