I stopped by Mortadella Head after a bike ride on the Minuteman. All in all, I was pretty impressed! The pizza was of decent quality and the restaurant itself was pretty nice. It's definitely a casual vibe, with lots of people grabbing takeout. No issues with the service, my pizza was ready right away. I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back, but always looking for a solid slice!

Shockingly bad delivery experience. I ordered 3 things-- mozzarella sticks, chopped Caesar sandwich and boneless wings with balsamic bbq.I didn't get the mozzarella sticks. They messed up the sauce combo on the wings--gave me buffalo and balsamic glaze together, which is an inedible combination.I called the restaurant and asked that they hold the prosciutto on the sandwich, and they did not. Also, the bread was terrible and very clearly never toasted and some of the chicken was terribly dry.

Post-practice pizza is a ritual for our youth soccer team. Mortadella Head always comes through. The kids and parents love it - even this former Elm City resident! Keep up the great work!

After seeing a few tiktoks about this place I was super excited to check it out, but was underwhelmed.I ordered the chopped Caesar sub and it was okay. The sub was huge but the rest of it lacked for me. The chicken was on the dry side, the lettuce was soggy and the bread was hard. It became difficult to eat it at times so I had to rip some pieces off. I wish I had a better experience for my first time especially with how much their subs cost. The inside is on the small side but there are tables to sit if you want to eat in. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. They serve other food so if I'm in the area I might try again.

Visited for the first time on a very busy Saturday night...both in Davis Sq and at Mortadella Head. I was excited to check this place out as I have heard a lot about it.I ordered a grilled chicken sub with pickles and ketchup (I know, I know...what is up with that combination...but it is how I love it!). I ordered a small french frie as well. The young lady working at the counter was awesome. She was full of energy. I noticed she didnt stop working the whole time I was there. If she was not being the counter, she was out back, in the front of the store making pizza boxes, filling the Pepsi machine or just doing general clean-up! As I waited for my food, I noticed the massive amount of food deliveries that were being picked up and delivered. Pizza and subs were flying out of the place! They have a small area to sit if someone wants to eat in. The seating seats about 10 total (my guess). I waited about 10 minutes for my sandwich before they called my name and I picked up my order. As I made my way to my car, I noticed the bag was kind of light. Unfortunately, i was right......no french fries. When I went back in, the young lady told me that their was no order placed for fries. She checked with the back and they told her 10 minutes for the fries, if I wanted them....I was not interested in waiting. My sub was great! Lot of chicken, just the right amount of pickles and ketchup! The roll was fresh and tasty! I would give it a straight up A or A-A few things to consider when ordering or picking up!1) call ahead...they are busy!2) bring a friend to stay in your car while you run in...not a lot of parking inDavis Sq3) Price was good.....$17 for a large sub and a can of Pepsi4) The pizza looked great! See my pics....if I every go there again, I am going to call ahead and get some cheese pizza4 stars.....mostly because of the wait and then no french fries...which I am pretty sure I ordered! I will give them a shot to get to 5 stars!

I've been searching for quality mozzarella sticks in the Boston area and have struggled to find anything made fresh and in-house. Mortadella Head is the only place I've found made in-house (not bought frozen/pre-made from a large wholesaler). You have to check them out! They offer some of the best mozzarella sticks around and they are huge and seasoned very well! The only issue here is the price. It's on the higher end, but if you're looking for quality mozzarella sticks this is the place to go. Their pizza is good too! They offer square and NYC style pizza. All together, a solid place to check out if you're in the area!

Went in to get some quick slices and got the mamalu, buffalo, and thin crust cheese and I thought they were all delicious! The staff was super nice and when I was going to order just 5 slices, they told us about their get 6 slices for 25$ which would've cost the same. The store itself is rather small, wouldn't dine in with more than 4. And also note that since they may be busy, to order ahead online if you aren't getting the ready made.

I am very excited to update my review with more stars than previously reviewed! First of all, Mortadella Head might have the best customer service of all time. After my last review, someone from the team gave me a contact to reach out to so that I could share my 3 star experience with. The team was committed to making sure that I had a positive experience and so provided me with a gift card to give Mortadella Head another shot. In the past, I have only tried their subs with grilled chicken. This time, I tried their chicken cutlet in the La Cosa Nostra sub. WOW. Their cutlets are unbelievably good and worth the splurge! The sub was outstanding! I would definitely come back and order this sub again or try another one with a cutlet base! Really appreciate the team's dedication to making my experience a positive one! They definitely earned their 5 stars!

Where has Mortadella Head been my whole life?? (And by whole life I mean just the past 2.5 years I've been living in Boston) After seeing so many incredible videos and pictures of their food on social media, I had pretty high expectations and I would say that those expectations were exceeded. The inside is quaint and limited seating, most people just come in for take out or to grab a slice of pizza. This could be controversial but Mortadella might have some of the best pizza in the Boston/Boston subs area. I'm all about good dough and their Roman style dough is incredible! I tried their pig pen pizza which has bbq pulled pork, bacon, onions, pickles, and fried onion rings. So good. We also got their infamous mozzarella sticks which would perfect. And their Poor Ragazzo sub which had fried calamari, butter, garlic, grated romano, banana peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, basil, olive oil, and Calabrian chili mayo. This sub was seriously chefs kiss. I cannot wait to go back to try more items from their fabulous menu!

I was veryyyyy excited to order from Mortadella head this Memorial Day! My partner was on her way home after a week long work trip to the vineyard so the occasion called for GOOD FOOD!Unfortunately I was disappointed when our order arrived. The shredder pizza which is all the buzz on social media - was drenched in honey - with barely enough cheese and a small amount of pepperonis scattered about. Definitely not enough to balance the flavor of the entire bottle of honey that was dumped on it. I am a PIZZA LOVER and a huge fan of salty, sweet spicy so this was disappointing. I now have a huge pizza that I have to eat but it's not quite enjoyable unless I add more cheese and pepperonis which I will because I paid for it so it won't go to waste. Wow.... TikTok's are on point but clearly the food quality isn't.
