My friends and I ordered it from here for the first time. I ordered a burger which had Italian beef on it. The burger itself was good, but the Italian beef was very dry and I really didn't like it. My other friend ordered loaded tater tot's, which were very good. He also had a buffalo chicken gyro and he loved it.

It was my first time and *last* time ever ordering from this place.First of all, the prices on the website, their carryout/delivery menu, and over the phone were all completely different, which should have been a red flag.Anyway, I ordered two gyros with fries. The food arrives within a reasonable amount of time, and it is only after opening the bag that I discover that the restaurant provided me with a little extra...It was a live cockroach, skittering about the inside of the bag. Needless to say, I didn't touch the food. Who knows what it might be tainted with.I immediately called the restaurant and spoke to a cook, asking only to speak to a manager or the owner. I was told one would or the other would call me back the next day - I noted that if I didn't get a call, I'd have to call the Chicago Health Inspector. The next day passed and, after three calls to have the owner call me back, the manager told me the owner had specifically said to ""call whoever I wanted" and hung up on me. Needless to say, I called the Health Inspector and filed a complaint. I can't tell you if the food was any good, because you know, *roaches.*It was gross as hell.

The Gyros here was really good. There are people out there trying way to hard to achieve what these guys do. Reminds me of all the good gyro joints of the 80's and 90's. There aren't many left.

Stopped by here while i was waiting for the bus and got the fried chicken and it was great. Sadly, I stopped by there yesterday and it was closed, for good. They even ripped the entire kitchen out of the building and now it's an empty mess. What a shame.

Wellllll . . . sadly, this place has not aged that well. I went in looking for a delicious Gyros, and did not find it. What I found was definitely acceptable, but not exceptional. The fries were very good, crispy and HOT. The Gyros was a bit dry, and I thought the tzatziki could have been a bit more flavorful - it tasted like plain yogurt.Still looking for a replacement for the fantastic Hellas Gyros.

Good food, good price, good people. It feels like a classic Chicago joint and it's a great place to pick up some some hot food after a long day. They've got a massive amount of options on the menu, and they're all well executed. It's not fancy, but it's practical and pretty damn delicious. It's a great part of the local community.

Another covid casualty?? For years I ordered from here. It was once one of the best Gyros in the city imo. I hadn't ordered in awhile, but having done that tonight? My advice? DON'T ORDER FROM HERE! The grease on the bag is from the unopened gyros! It's inedible. When I called for a refund on just the sandwich, they ordered to remake it. Why would I want more of the same? I've should've known there might be a problem wren the guy answering the phone could have said "Moe's car wash" for all I know. He sounded like he barely had the energy to speak, let alone cook. And I'm not sure what's up with the wings, but they must be from older chickens, dark meat eut lots of veins. Never again.
