The food was delicious I would definitely eat here again order off the app didn't know what to expect the best decision ever ever made

Food is great. Portions are huge for the sides. Service is slower due to training. Drinks and Cakes made in house with exotic flavors. Peach Cobbler was a smaller portion. Actually, all the desserts are not huge like the sides. See pictures for receipt, interior, design, and food ordered/received.

This is an awesome spot if you're searching for real soul food. The space is has ample parking, plenty of seating, and very friendly people serving you.I tried the smothered pork chops dinner with Mac & cheese, and red beans and rice. Never been one to eat my veggies. You get two large chops with a tangy sauce that should be bottled. The Mac was seriously good. The red beans and rice was on point as well.

I'm giving Morrison's 3 out of 5 stars! I came in yesterday afternoon. I took off one star because they didn't have peach cobbler nor did they have the sour cream pound cake. I got there around 2:50pm and they opened at 11am. I took off another star because the older dark skinned black lady with the African-American mullet, was very unwelcoming. I spoke when I came in, and the staff acted like they didn't want to speak. Specifically, the lady with the hair ear length at the top and long in the back. She barely wanted to speak. Ugh! Which is totally unwarranted because I had just came in and had no prior interaction with her. Also, the cornbread muffins were old and dry as the Sahara! Enough with the bad let's look at the good.The place is huge and clean!! The washroom's were clean which should be standard but unfortunately it isn't but it was the standard here!!!! The dark skinned bigger lady was very helpful and gave good customer service!!! She let me know if I waited like five more mins I could get $5 off because it would be a special at that time. Score!!!! So I ordered the white fried chicken meal with string beans and macaroni and cheese. I also got a side of macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese was good heavily peppered good nice cheese, not just American. The macaroni and cheese was a cheddar and American blend. The string beans and potatoes were seasoned well! The fried chicken was also seasoned well! The skin wasn't crispy because it's not cooked to order. It was still tasty! Myself and my children did enjoy it. I would just say Mrs. Morrison work on having everything in stock and if not remove it from your menu for that day. Also I know older people are stuck in their ways but customer service is extremely important! Train your staff as a whole on how to be welcoming!

Your food isn't so good that the customer service can be horrible and then your staff get to be smart mouth and when a customer reacts to you that you think that I'm the one in the wrong. Your food is bland and the reality is there are enough other options to wear, I have come across too many of my friends say your food isn't good and I kept trying to defend you. You don't want customers like me and the problem is you don't get that many customers. You keep having to relocate because you cannot maintain a location.

The food is good ... enough said....plenty of parking and the place is nice.....l has the short ribs and Greens with sweet potato

A few times when Ms was on racing I had 1 million complaints because of the staff, the professionalism and the food. My sister said give it another chance.. my aunt on yesterday has dementia. Wanted some soul food, so I went to Morrison and gave it another try. I'm glad I did the atmosphere was different. The service was phenomenal. The server the cashier was so pleasant and the food was great. My aunt had the smothered chicken with sweet potatoes dressing and I had mac & cheese and sweet potatoes. It was delicious. I came to get this review on yelp like I gave a bad review. I wanted to get them a great review, I'm glad I gave it another chance.

Service was really bad here on more than 2 occasions. Whether it's pickup or delivery. The orders were never ready when they were supposed. And what I ordered they were out of but didn't say anything until arrival to pick it up. Even with that, those working behind the counter had full blown attitudes. If this restaurant wants to get better reviews, they need to have discussion with their frontline staff about etiquette and ensure that orders are ready in the timeframe that THEY provide. If you say an order will be ready in 30 minutes and I come in to pick up in 45 minutes, I should not have to wait an additional 30 minutes for my order.

The food my be good but the customer service will eventually kill the business. The attitudes of the employees are horrible not only the women the men also. I will never spend my money in a place that treat me like garbage . There are tooooo many soul food places in Chicago . Please get this together or you will see a decline in customers.

I just left Morrison's on 79th Street the young man that works serious very rude and unprofessional the staff does not know who had what when they're taking orders they got the full confused I would never come back here and spend a dime and I walked out me and my family
