Moreno's Family Mexican Restaurant

Tried this place for lunch. Ok so I'm from Southern California. Expected a similar experience. Ordered a combo beef taco and cheese enchilada. Service was great, place was empty on a Saturday at lunch time. Chips and salsa were good, beer cold as was the water. Taco was SO greasy it dripped onto the plate, rice was bland and more importantly no enchilada sauce on the cheese enchilada. My favorite part of this meal is always the sauce on the rice. Beans were good. Will not be returning.

When you see a high rated yelp for Mexican food and go in and see the place full of white people there is a issue right there knowing the food is mediocre! Real Mexican food is a place full of Hispanic people k owing it is OG and good! I will say the Soup is wonderful had the albondigas soup and the broth was good but the tacos are gringo so really I give it a one star!

I used to come here quite often with my family but today I realized why each time seems a little bit more unpleasant. Honestly the food 90% of the time is delicious! The service has been excellent the majority of time we come. Very family friendly and they make you feel super welcome, majority of the time!Unfortunately prices have skyrocketed since we first started coming here. Expected. Not too big of a deal. The food is excellent so we decided it was still worth coming. Although, based on the last 2-3 visits we've had here the food has not continued to weigh up to their prices. Sometimes their rice feels burnt or old and the beans over cooked. Usually not too big if a deal but now that we're paying $22-26 a plate having all the food taste good would be nice.Now my last visit on a Saturday night I got a waitress I'd have never seen before and honestly I wish I wouldn't again. Her demeanor was very aggressive and unfriendly. She said 'anything else I can get you' but her body language said I don't care or want to help you.Definitely not the usual kind service we typically get here. Hoping the service won't go downhill from here too!

Food was okay. Service took a long time. We had ordered two drinks w Hornitos and they charged us for Patron instead. When I let the server know that I got charged for Patron instead of Hornitos, the server said they were the same price. I paid for what I didn't even order.

Soooo best ever place to get fruit margaritas I love it and can't forget the yummy delicious food.

This place accommodated our party of 7 late around 8:00 after our daughters college basketball game ended. All the food was great, beers on tap were great, and service was good and quick. Then while leaving we got free entertainment of the security officer/bouncer do pat downs on people coming in for the late night bar entertainment. So that was fun. Lol Thank you Moreno's

My SO and I came from a long drive from Vancouver to Seattle and back here in Mt Vernon. We were skeptical about the restaurant but you can't go wrong with Mexican food. And yes we are not disappointed at all. We were glad to have tried their food. My SO ordered the Chili Relleno and ugh - it was a bomb. We can't get over in raving about the beef. It was so tasty and delicious. He ravished his food in no time. My Cheese Enchilada was good. It comes with beans, rice and salad. Their cocktails are great. Worth it. I had the Mango Margarita. It comes in a big glass. It takes a while to finish it. Our server was good. Kept on checking on us. The dining room has a pretty good size. You can have private parties as some areas are separated. Lovely decors and you can tell the Mexican vibe around. Definitely recommended. Come when you're in town. You'll leave with a Happy Belly!! Cheers

Service was ok, our server was very nice and friendly but not impress with the service maybe because it was a bussy day. Fresh chips and salsa and were really good but Food was mediocre at best... My mother got the Cabo plate and it was horrible, there was very little fish on it , a few scallops and most of it was a really chewy overcooked octopus with no flavor and only pick a few spoons out of it ....when we told our server she did offer to replace with something else but since weren't impress with the other plates we ordered, we kindly denied the offer and server just smile and said we'll make sure we cooked it better the next time, she knew we weren't locals and still decided to charges us for it , oh well that's what we get when tips are already included in the tab I guess! Just to clarify we were a party of 7.

Service was horrible, ended up walking out due to hostess attitude. Place was relatively empty and the hostess insisted on seating us in bar are by restrooms. Asked to be seated elsewhere and was told "nope". So we got up and left.
