The food was SO good, but what was really amazing was Chef Asia coming by our table herself to hand us the food and just make sure that we were having a good time. Everything we ate made me so impressed at how one can elevate foods such as french toast and tater tots but this place did. The french toast sticks were crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside, and it didn't feel super heavy. The phorrito was huge and each bite was an explosion of flavors. I would definitely come back over and over to try everything again.

Was really excited to go here, reviews were great, but didn't leave me with the post crave experience or damn was that good.Menu itself has a lot of intriguing items. If you search Asian food on yelp this comes up. It's Asian fusion but once you get there, feels more bar like American with slight touch of Asian We ordered apps and we ordered corn salad, chicken wings , rangoons and taters. Taters were the best. The highly regarded wings felt slimy underneath the batter. Batter itself was airy, but what really ruined the chicken was the amount of mayo based sauce underneath. It drowned out whatever flavor there was on the chicken. We ordered birria and duck tacos but the duck had that overly mayo taste and it just drowned out the flavor of the duck. I had to dig under everything to find the duck. My kid loves birria and he only ate one of the two. It's not bad but for me, we just didn't feel it. Service was good, but for my family and I who have eaten at a variety of places, we just weren't feeling it. Again this seems more American with a touch of Asian. This would be more good corner hip restaurant that could be reliable staple because the atmosphere is laid back and hip, but the food find your favorite and stick to it.

Variety? Unique takes on food? A chill Vibe? This is definitely the place you need to visit then. Moonshine 152 provides an easy-going vibe with the bar right there with games going on to stalls where you can have a dinner. I give the place an EASY 5/5 because those wings are mind-blowing. The experience taking a bite and it literally SLIPS off to this day shocks me. Traveled the world, been to all sorts of restaurants and nothing recreates that one moment for those tender wings. Other than that, definitely just snoop a reservation as it gets busy. Known for their unique takes on food you will have a new experience with every dish for the most part. Service is straight forward and satisfying. Give the place a look, just for the wings, it's worth it.

Moonshine 152 is a go-to spot for any occasion. The vibes are welcoming and the food is packed with fun (but approachable) flavors. It's the sort of menu that a picky eater might accidentally try something a little unusual an adventurous eater would be delighted. For example, I loved the mochi pancakes! They aren't so weird that a picky eater wouldn't try them too!My buddy visited from California and now asks to always go to Moonshine every time he comes. That's an example of the fast loyalty that Chef Asia inspires! One thing I love about restaurants is the opportunity to try new textures and flavors. It's creative and artistic to me. Chef Asia is an expressive artist in so many ways. Her art is on the walls and she is always trying new things. Her flavors are bright and interesting. It's so fun to go in at least once a month (if not more) for her monthly special burger! It's usually got a theme and is piled high with toppings. There's a cute outside area that's pretty closed off from the busy streets. I like to sit out there in nice weather. The inside is comfortable and accommodating to both small and large groups. I really dig sitting at the bar as a solo person.

Always a good time at moonshine. Asian fusion food and the servers are very friendly and close, even chef/owner Asia Mei comes out to serve us our food hot from the kitchen! Can't miss out on the Party Tots with kimchi and the infamous buttermilk fried wings with poblano sauce. Save room for dessert too! There's always new items on the menu so it's fun to come back to see what's new! There are very creative artwork on the wall for sale and it makes it feel very local! The location is right off broadway station so it's convenient to hop off for a delicious meal and good time!

One of, if not THE best place in Boston for a night out. I was celebrating my birthday and chose Moonshine after reading Time Out's list of best chicken places in the city. When we got there, the host was friendly and sat us right away. The walls are covered in beautiful artworks, and the small space was warm and welcoming. Our server was amazing and attentive. We ordered two appetizers, two entrees, and two desserts (it was a night out, why not?)The patatas bravas were incredible, and the sherry-pesto aioli is something I'll be trying to replicate for months to come. The jalapeño crab Rangoon were super crispy, and looked gorgeous. For dinner, I got the chicken and waffles and my sister got the steak tartare wellington. The cinnamon butter on the waffles was out of this world. The chicken was so juicy and tender- definitely worth its place as one of the best. The tartare was so unique and an incredible plate of food- so good that we were eating the greens off the plate! We decided to get two desserts because we couldn't decide between the sticky toffee bread pudding and the fudge Oreo brownie, so we got both. The bread pudding was nice but a little too sweet, but the brownie was multi-layered and delicious. When we got our desserts, the chef came out and wished me a happy birthday, which was a great surprise.A wonderful night, and an incredible birthday.

Ok - THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. I had to go to Boston for a business trip and landed here for dinner the night we arrived. Hubby and I are "bar people", so we decided to sit there for cocktails and food. Let me first tell you - the staff is incredibly helpful from the moment you walk in - the bartender was knowledgeable about the drinks of course, but even more so about the food, and made great recommendations about what to have off the menu. The menu had variety and different combinations of flavors - AND they had rotating specials to accompany the already delicious choices. After looking (and drooling) over the menu, we chose the:Crab Rangoons (Sweet and spicy honey-sambal, real jalapeno crab filling) -- I was a bit nervous about the jalapeño being too spicy, but the balance of flavor was perfect. Creamy, deliciousness crab ... inside a crispy, crunchy, wrapper. And the sauce?!? OH man - I could drink it. Blistered Shishito Peppers (Toasted sesame, crispy garlic and shallots, soy vinaigrette) -- These are always a staple for us, and these were definitely at the top of the list. They were cooked perfectly, had the most addicting vinaigrette, and the crispy topping was perfect. Bacon Wrapped Stuffing Bites (Caramelized onion sourdough stuffing wrapped in crispy pecanwood bacon, Candied ginger aioli) -- I thought these were going to be heavy - like Thanksgiving dinner. We were WRONG.... and we should have ordered the GRANDE. These were pillowy, light, fluffy, JAM-packed with flavor, and the bacon was wonderfully crispy. After all the apps we had... along with a couple drinks at this point ... and as much as we both wanted various other things off this wonderful menu, we decided to split the RON SWANSON BRUNCH-INSPIRED CHIPOTLE PULLED PORK SCALLION PANCAKE QUESADILLA (Smoky pulled pork, scrambled egg, tomato, petite mixed greens salad, teriyaki, sweet chili glaze, house-cut shoestring french fries). *Note - this IS available without the pork... but because we love the meat (Arby's reference, anyone??)... we kept that puppy stuffed with pulled pork! I'm not even joking when I say - this is the most underrated thing in this menu. It's incredible. Just trust me and the picture, and order it. You're welcome. Now for the fun stuff ... Chef Asia Mei has been on Chopped AND Beat Bobby Flay. She used to be a stuntwoman, AND does almost all the artwork displayed in the restaurant! Since we were there for a while, and had a couple more cocktails, we decided to purchase TWO of her pieces - right off the walls!! (Thank you again - they're GORGEOUS!!) Oh - how could I forget DESSERT?!?!?!!! Carrot Cake (Cream Cheese Ribboned Carrot Cake, Toasted Walnuts, Chantilly Cream, Crispy Carrot Chips) -- I should preface this with, I am not a Carrot Cake person - it's never been my go-to dessert - but this one? THIS one might have converted me. Holy moly, you guys...delectable and moist, with just the right about of crunch from the walnuts and crispy carrot chips, it's not overly sweet. SO GOOD. If you find yourself in Boston - GET HERE. Don't sleep on it. You won't regret it!!

Food - not good. Very expensive. The crab Rangoon was okay but it's $26. That's too much for crab rangoons. The warm kale and quinoa salad was bad. It was soooo salty. I ate half of it because I paid $17 for that!!!!Service was fast, the waitresses were good. The gentleman who greeted us when we entered was rude. He said bye to all other non colored parties leaving the restaurant but not to us. We also took a drink farm to land and it tasted plain water. Not worth the money. Go to castle island brewing or trillium brewing, shake shack etc

I went here for dinner and drinks on a Friday night. I got the chicken sliders and I was a bit disappointed by how difficult they were to eat. They were served on the plate open faced, and when I tried to close them they were way too thick to bite through. Because of that I wasn't able to enjoy these sliders. The drinks I got - pretty in pink and fly me to the moon - were just okay. I felt like they could have elevated the drinks a bit more with some a more sophisticated presentation. For me, my side of Brussels sprouts was a highlight. Those tasted really great!
