This is a shockingly good sushi restaurant for Seattle at a very reasonable price point. I had their moon tree and lava hama (sp?) rolls and both were to die for. The fish was fresh, the service was great, the ambiance is good, the kids liked their karaage (which was done really well), my wife loved the teriyaki... even the drinks were good. Huge step up from most sushi places in Seattle - I'd go here as our regular 100% of the time if we were local to here.Thank you to this restaurant! Haven't had food like this at a sushi place in a while!

Nice place for sushi. When I am traveling to the West coast, I always try and find a good local sushi restaurant hoping that they offer a selection of items that are not available on the East coast. This restaurant was just a 10 minute walk from my hotel and the pictures on Yelp looked great. When I arrived at 5pm, the restaurant was about 10% full. Since I was alone, I sat at the sushi bar. The chef was friendly and he explained what fish was in the case. It was a nice selection, with only a few West coast items. I ordered the omakase for $75 which came with an appetizer of pickled cucumber and shrimp, soup and 12 pieces chef's choice. I was kinda surprised when the 12 pieces were served all at once. It was very well prepared and very fresh. For dessert, I ordered an Aji sashimi, one of my favorites, that is had to find where I live. It was also very good. The service was very good as my glass was never empty. The beer was nice and cold. There were several other items that I viewed that looked very good. The place was 70% full when I left.I would return.

Phenomenal! I've been wanting to try this place for a while now, and now I know why. we stopped in here for dinner before Cirque du Soleil and were pleased that there was no wait. Fast forward 10 minutes and there was a line down the sidewalk. Pro tip: get here early! This was the perfect combo date spot for me (who loves all things sushi) and my dude (who doesn't like raw fish). I was able to satisfy my cravings, including a fresher-than-fresh order of hamachi nigiri, a plate of their crispy rice topped with spicy tuna, and a sea bream special with a delightful, citrusy sauce. My date ordered some delicious, crispy fried green beans and chicken yakitori. We loved that everything came in small, tapas-style portions so we could share. I also enjoyed a hot sake, and the dude lived that they had Bodhi on tap. The service was also very fast (my food arrived faster than Taco Bell - not even kidding)! And the ambiance was casual, but still nice enough for a date night. It was also only about a 2 minute walk to the Climate Pledge Arena so we didn't even have to move the car.

Pretty good find!I found this place by walking around the hotel I was staying at. I just so happened to stumble on their sign advertising their omakase. When I went into the restaurant, it looked a lot smaller on the outside than it was on the inside. I ordered the omakase and for the price I paid, it was pretty good. I do wish that they replaced the California roll with something else. But the other nigiri pieces were really good.

Seattle-worthy sushi for sure! Takeaway: the fish was excellent quality, but the sear felt inconsistent throughout the rolls, so some pieces were tastier than others. We got the Fancy Seattle roll, Lobster roll, and vegetable tempura. Both did a great job using flavorful sauces and butter (in the case of the lobster) without overpowering the innate flavor of the fish. The salmon in the Fancy Seattle roll was great quality, but weirdly enough, the pieces on right side tasted super smokey while the left-side pieces were imo closer to perfect. Similar story with the lobster; some pieces were perfectly tender, while others felt chewier. Both tasted great, but I liked the lobster one a bit less; to be nitpicky, it felt like eating lobster pieces alongside a California roll, instead of one cohesive flavor experience. All that said, I was in a silly food critic mood when I was there. If you're just looking for a place to enjoy sushi, you'll like Moontree!! But if you're willing to travel a bit farther to cap hill, I still hold that Momiji is my favorite sushi spot in Seattle so far.

We hopped over to Moon Tree for a little happy hour tapas & we're very impressed!! Enjoyed 2 servings of the crispy rice (they were that good) along with the spicy salmon, miso soup, and house red wine. The service here was very quick- that we were shocked, genuinely. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, miso was savory and not too salty, and the crispy rice was absolutely amazing. We ended up going back the next day for some more! Great spot.

I rate this retaurant very highly based on the freshness of ingredients, taste and creativity of menu options, and lastly the attentiveness and energy everyone brings to the table, over the past 10+ visits I made since early 2022. Prices are set at a reasonable spot compared to other places I have been in Seattle, Bellevue, and other nearby areas; not too expensive. Menu options range from food for people newly getting into the cuisine to plates that are easily loved by enthusiats. Classy and tasteful interior sets the tone when you walk in. Good range of drinks, especially well-crafted cocktails and different alcoholic drinks that pair well with the food, is a big plus.
