My wife is a huge fan of carrot cake, and when we first moved to San Diego Mook and Pop's showed up on yelp search. We were in a for a surprise - we had one of the best carrot cakes we've ever had! We immediately knew that this is where we would go for any future carrot cake cravings. They're based in Carmel Valley, and will deliver to San Diego. Alternatively, you can coordinate pick up with them as well. They're super friendly and sweet. Their prices are very reasonable and you can tell that they use good quality ingredients! I look forward to my next purchase from Mook and Pop's!

The cashew and pecan toffee is extraordinary. I was given some toffee as a gift and was blown away. Simple, plain, homemade brittle. You can taste the quality ingredients. Delicious. I've even ordered some from their online website. Can't wait until my packaged is delivered.I went today to the north park farmers market to get some treats!!! Omg!!! The mini bourbon pecan pie, banana bread and moon pies are scrumptious. Three treats for $15. What a steal!! Try everything. I'll be back next Sunday to purchase my treats.

Most delicious apple pie I've ever had! Ordered it for my husbands birthday as a cake after trying their pies for pie day at work and they personally delivered it to me at work. My husband and kids devoured the pie in 2 days, it was that good! It's perfectly sweeet as to not be too sweet. Quality ingredients and super fair price!

Carrot cake!!! My fave! I walked to the Hillcrest Farmer's Market after seeing reviews for Mook & Pop's... it was quite a hike from downtown so while it'd be a stretch to say that it was worth it, I also didn't regret it. The people here are super sweet and I was able to try a couple samples! I ended up getting the carrot cake and it was a fat slice. Awesome cream cheese frosting to cake ratio. The cake itself had a really good texture but I normally am not a fan of nuts in cake. If you are at the farmer's market, definitely stop by here for some sweet treats!

Tried a sample and were hooked! They are sooooo good!! I bought 3 for $20. The couple were such nice people. She said her husband makes all of the treats and he just comes up with all of it by himself. So creative using saltine crackers or cheez its as a base but adding things like reeses, coconut, macadamia, dark chocolate, butterfinger makes it amazingly good! Must keep it refrigerated so we went straight home. Looking forward to buying more in the future. If you are at the market you got to stop by and try their stuff its an absolute must!!

I'm not even much of a carrot cake fan, but Mook and Pop's might have just converted me.I stopped by their tent at the Hillcrest Farmers Market. They were handing out samples of their pecan cinnamon roll, which was really good, but I had just eaten breakfast so I wasn't in the mood for a pastry. The carrot cake caught my eye, and they offered me a sample. I practically threw my wallet at them after the first bite. But seriously, I bought a small slice of carrot cake for $4.Mook and Pop's carrot cake is the best I've ever had. It's moist, nutty, and so flavorful. I loved being able to see actual shredded carrots in each forkful of cake. And the icing on top is thick, sweet, and tangy. Just perfect. It's probably a good thing I left the Farmers Market with just a slice of carrot cake. If I had sampled anything else, I probably would have bought the whole inventory.

I pay a visit to this place once in a while whenever I roll through the hillcrest farmer's market. The dude that's there is super friendly. The lady, not so much. She isn't the most approachable. However, all personalities aside, she cranks out great pies, breads, and cookies. I love their 3 berry pie the best.Stop by when you're at the hillcrest farmer's market and try for yourself.

I bought 3 different kinds of the Brickle and brought it to my sister's home in Colorado over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Everyone went crazy over this home made brickle and I am sorry I didn't bring more. I have also tried their other baked breads and they are delicious. Everything they make is baked in a large church oven near their home the day before so it really is fresh!Amazing Baked Goods! Sue & Richard are the nicest folks and I am going back this Sunday to get more. Thanks! Pam
