You're a food truck!! Did you know that? You're not a brick and mortar location. Get off of yelp! If you're not at the location Yelp says, get off of Yelp.

Listen, I'm holding Monster Dogs up to an impossible standard: A summer of my life in New York when I met a boy and we went to Crif Dogs and hung out in the Village or had late-night uptown Gray's Papaya, and I spent a lot of drunken nights singing karaoke off of 14th Street. The only thing that Monster Dogs has in common with the aforementioned time in my life is drunken hot dog cravings. But unlike Crif Dogs they don't have deep fried hot dogs or dogs with crazy names like Jersey's Finest or the Spicy Redneck. What they do have is friendly, fast service, cream cheese on their dogs, toasted buns, and lots of drunken [fill in choice derogatory term for excessively wasted youngsters here]. After a night out on the town, two Monster Dogs hit the spot. I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area... or nostalgically in a New York state of mind.

I mean, c'mon. Who doesn't sniff out to the Seattle streets after a night of bar-hopping and become mesmerized by the magnificent scent of hot dogs!? Monster Dogs should be eaten when tipsy or drunk and after 2AM. They are the best then. THE BEST. I even prefer this glorious food to the famous Dick's burgers that many crave after the bars close because the hot dogs are actually good! Even if you're sober! Monster Dogs is a stand, and this particular one is located in Belltown, by the parking lot of Bathtub Gin & Co. The aroma of flames and dogs works in this popular nightlife spot - and they take cards! These meaty Polish dogs are only six bucks and it is a MUST to get a Seattle Dog! The Seattle Dog is all about the cream cheese, which sounds sketch, but it works, oh-so-well. The hot dog is split in half and cooked over an open flame and is placed on a thick stadium bun, smeared with cream cheese and sauteed onions. I personally like my Seattle Dog with jalapenos and Sriracha, as both of these accompaniments are here at the stand, in addition to other toppings like sauerkraut, diced onions, mustard, etc... It doesn't sound like much because it's a darn hot dog stand, but after a night of boozing - you will want nothing more than a meaty Polish dog, smothered in melted cream cheese. Trust me.

If you are in the Belltown area, Monster Dogs is a must for a late night snack! It is the perfect craving after a night of drinking. It's even a great snack after a late night movie or anything past 9pm, since that's when they open. I'll admit that I was skeptical to having a hot dog with cream cheese, but it is quite amazing. The layer of cream cheese isn't a white blob on your hot dog, yet a slight layer added to a warm, toasted bun. I've only had the spicy hot link, but if you're into spicy food, then you should just opt for that. Everything is served fresh and there's many condiments to add onto your hot dog...they have the works. The only down side to Monster Dogs is that it's only available on Friday and Saturday nights. I find myself craving them during the week, but it just makes the wait that much better for the weekend.

Naturally, I was out boozing in Belltown on Halloween night, and I hadn't eaten most of the day. After 3 bars in and around midnight, some last shred of common sense kicked in, and I thought it might be a good idea to eat something. I tumbled out of the bar I was in, and like a beacon, Monster Dogs was there. I'd never had one. Up to this point, I thought I had tried about all of the styles of hot dog there are: New York, Chicago Dog, Mexican dog, Indy dirty water dog, and the list goes on. However, as so often happens, I was taught a lesson in that I had not yet had a dog with cream cheese on it! In addition, this dog was covered in kraut, cheese, jalapenos, everything. It was Halloween, and I got treated. I've been wanting another one ever since!

Best hot dog in Seattle!Huge props to the guy running this stand. He was very personable, and you could tell he was really committed to keeping the line moving.I tried this hot dog when I wasn't even drunk or starving or anything, and it was amazing. It's sliced and grilled, which really bumps up the flavor. The bun is soft and a little chewy. It's hard to find good grilled onions. A lot of times they just don't have any flavor. These tasted great, and they also still had some crunch, so they weren't just goo.For $7, you can't beat the price. There's also a wide assortment of sauces. I particularly enjoyed the Sriracha mayo. I'll definitely be back!

This was a quick bite when I really needed one. I just wanted a hot dog with shredded lettuce, which was served in a very friendly manner, and in short order. I didn't care for the flavor or texture of the hot dog, but would definitely try some of the other dishes in future.
