Monroe Fish and Chips

The people are super nice but the fish and chips werent very good. I understand its "fast food" and priced as such but the breading was mushy and the fish tasted freezer burnt. Maybe just a bad day as a lot of people really enjoy it. Maybe I will do a follow up at some point.

Love this little gem! The decor is quaint and sweet and we so enjoyed our time! Such friendly faces working and sooooooooo kind! I felt so welcomed the moment my hubby and I walked in! Clam chowder was hot a d delicious! Loved the fried clams, the tartar sauce and cocktail were so good! Love the horseradish in the cocktail sauce was awesome!My husband loved the 3 piece fish sooooo much, as did I! We will be back next time we are in Monroe for sure! Thank you for such a wonderful dinner!

This place is great. I love how chill it is on the inside! I ordered take out and was super easy and I only had to wait for like 10 minutes. The fish is so good! Soft and crispy! Also try the clam chowder!

Stopped in for a shrimp and fish combo today.Delish.... We loved it.Fast friendly service like no other.

Oh man! These are some of the best fish and chips I've ever had! Not only that, but the tartar sauce is delicious and even the coleslaw is tasty. Crinkle fries were perfectly cooked. The waitress was really sweet and welcoming. My food came out lightning fast! Inside is decorated with adorable ocean - themed decor and the restroom was spacious and clean. I only wish I didn't live 50 miles away! Definitely worth the stop if you're in Monroe.

My carry-out experience tonight was great. I was in and out. Got the combo basket with two pieces of cod and shrimp, lots of crinkle cut fries, cole slaw, lemon wedge, tartar sauce, cocktail sauce for $16.98. Glad the fish was very moist. Even though it was not the classic style beer batter and fresh cut fries like places on the coast, it was still delicious and I ate everything.The clam chowder was a small size cup for $6.50 it comes in one size. It was very creamy and yummy with a decent amount of potatoes and clams. I appreciated how they packaged it separately in a brown paper bag. It was a decent weekday dinner so I didn't have to cook. Would come again and get the same thing or try their fish tacos. Just a small fish and chips place with a simple menu for a good take out lunch or dinner. Cute little dining area with several tables. The service was courteous and prompt and they offer a 15% coupon for your next visit.

We saw this restaurant on our way home, but haven't had the chance to try it until today. We drove from Snohomish to check it out. When we got there, it felt like we were at a restaurant on the beach. They had cool beachy decor and a super cute outdoor patio seating, which we'll come back to eat out there come summertime. We orrdered the 3 piece fish and chips, the 9 piece shrimps and got a little side of mac and cheese and coleslaw. Highly recommend their Cajun seasoning cuz it was delicious!! The fish was so lightly battered, not greasy and perfectly crunchy! We took it to go as they were almost closing and ate at a nearby park. They were so kind and did not rush our order. Thank you for the great customer service and for being so friendly! We're suckers for good fish and chips, and this is best fish and chips we've ever had in Washington! ***We were so hungry and didn't take any photos of the deliciousness, but everyone should just go check it out! :)

Food was great but I must review as a whole.I walked in and saw their prices and was pleasantly surprised that they hadn't seem to have gone up as much as other restaurants. A 3 piece fish basket was 14.98, comparable to Ivar's and others and the fish pieces were large, tasty and enjoyable.However, it's a bit of a lie.... They charge a 3 percent credit card fee, regardless of the cost of your order and here is the real kicker that lowered my review stars....They charge a 5 percent.... Yes 5... Fee for "eco packaging"..... So my meal comes out.... Ironically in a plastic basket... With a single piece of paper in it... My drink comes out in a normal cup.... Yet I'm getting charged a 5 percent fee?Perhaps for takeout, charge for packaging, but dine in, really?I saw some "eco packaging" for the bowl another person was eating soup out of...... But my meal didn't include this and my bill is more?If you as a company hop on that bandwagon... Go ahead.. but don't hide it outside your food prices... It's deceptive.Probably won't go back unless I can bring my own bag and pay cash to get my 8 percent back?With food prices through the roof, do what you can to alleviate it.. stop the virtue signalling that doesn't do anything except make yourself feel "better".

Tried 3 times and the order is messed up every time due to a language barrier I will never come here again and unless I learn how to speak Spanish witch will be never learn jow to speak English so you can get orders right I will be calling the manger not a funking sorry one!

I took my grandson this past Saturday because he has just started to love shrimp. He has enjoyed shrimp at a couple of local restaurants but he said that Monroe Fish and Chips had the best shrimp he has ever had. I ordered the fish and chips and was very happy with the crispiness on the fillets.
