Monorail Espresso

We stopped at Monorail Espresso after having lunch next door because we were craving coffee/tea. I was super excited to try this spot out because it's a cute little stand/grab and go spot and a long line formed behind us so we thought it must be good. I ordered a chai tea latte and my boyfriend ordered a mocha. I was extremely disappointed in my chai tea latte. It honestly tasted like warm water with barely a hint of chai.... Worst chai I've ever had sadly. My boyfriend's mocha was delicious though. Will definitely have to get a coffee next time. I'd have to give this spot less than 1 star for the chai alone but bumped it up to 2 because the mocha was really good. Hoping if we stumble upon this place next time the chai is much much much better.

One of the best cups of coffee in Seattle. The service is always friendly and efficient, even at 6 am. My new favorite is an iced sugar-free lavender oat milk latte. Definitely check out monorail espresso, it's fast, tastes great, and you'd be supporting a local coffee shop.

One of the best places to get a coffee or tea in Seattle! Monorail is a chain but this location is one of the smaller ones where you walk up to the stand, order, get your drink, and leave so it's perfect for when you want to grab a quick, tasty drink (or dessert!) I tried the baklava tea latte recently which was black tea, steamed milk, pistachio syrup, and honey and it was one of the best tasting drinks I've ever had!

One of the best lattes I've ever had, hands down. The seasonal blackberry maple was amazing! It had both flavors without being too sweet. I ordered it hot and usually don't like foam, but the foam here was so addicting. It was more liquid than foamy, which I preferred. They have alternative milks, so I opted for soy (I think they also have almond, oat, and hemp). FYI: Each size of their lattes are made with a double shot.This is a perfect place to grab coffee when you're on the go. You order right outside the window and the barista makes the drink right in front of you, right away. My hot latte was also served at the perfect temperature for drinking immediately after served, which I really appreciated.

A cute little coffee window in downtown Seattle, Monorail has a surprisingly refreshing menu that they often circulate as per seasons. The coffee is great and the service is fast, they have limited food options for small cake slices, croissants and donuts to take to go. Their white chocolate mocha is the tastiest white chocolate mocha I have ever tried. Their seasonal frango mint mocha is also great. Would love it if they have more food options and the option to heat up the food.

I can't say enough good things about this tiny little cafe. I've been to so many coffee places in Seattle and I avoid Starbucks at all costs. Trust me when I say Monorail Espresso is a good one. Amazing customer service tags along a real, true to taste espresso, and their baked goods are fantastic. The cookie that looks like a scone reminds me of the "olden days" when people baked with simple ingredients like flour, eggs, butter. There's nothing commercial or mass produced about it. It's probably one of my favorite cookies in the city.

Get a coffee before your clean and user friendly ride from Westlake shopping area to Seattle Center area. If you're just doing tourist kine tingz, then find a hotel near this area. Short walk to coastal markets, too.

I really like that this place is just a walk up window! It's very convenient and they have the logistics down so it's pretty quick. I've heard the pastries are good as well though I haven't personally had a chance to try one yet

Cute and quick coffee place. Conveniently located and the baristas are speedy! I love that they have rotating seasonal flavors. Their spiced yam latte in the fall and their current eggnog latte are my favorites so far. They don't have a lot of food options besides scones, and some pastries. But considering how small of a shop this is, I can see why they wouldn't offer other food or options to heat up. Even if you see a line I'd still line up, they're seriously that efficient.

Monorail has an excellent Mocha, but watch out for the Chai. We stopped here after lunch to get our drink craving, and we got one excellent Mocha and one Chai that was the worst I ever had. The Chai tasted like flavored water. The line at this place was long, so this is a busy coffee stand. This is a takeout coffee shop with no inside or sitting area. Overall, the Mocha at this place was perfect. I would go back to get a mocha, but I would never get the Chai, and I am afraid to try anything else.
