If you're craving sushi and Japanese food, this is the place to go! Everything here is so delicious and also unique to keep you interested. From the sushi dishes to the rice dishes, everything tastes amazing The rolls were really delicious. They had interesting chicken dumplings with mochi. That was nice to try but one bite per person was enough. The scallops were absolutely amazingggg. The rice dish was also really really good. We were stuffed but I could keep eating it.Their desserts were also darn amazing! Would definitely come back

Food: Japanese food served in tapas style + sushi. Very flavorful and creative, well combined flavors. Favorite would be the duck breast and the tuna nigiri. Even though it was the cheapest blue fin tuna, quality is very premium. Dessert definitely is a strong game here, they say you judge the quality of the restaurant by the desert ;) they have an exclusive chef for desert. Service: slow but nice people, good explanations. Ambience: elegant dining, proper restaurant that's not too loud. Very clean. Would 12/10 come back!

Definitely a bit more on the expensive side, but a great spot for Japanese food. I enjoyed the:Chutoro: Great fish with a nice fattinessUnagi: Actually one of my favorites, the unagi nigiri was cooked perfectlyMiso soup: Very good, the tofu was on the bottom and you break it up as you eat itShiitake skewers: Really enjoyed these skewers as wellNegima: Very sizeable chicken skewers. Meat was tender and juicyHamachi: These were okay, yellowtail is usually my favorite, but these I would skipMishima: Also found these a tad dryNice spot if you're feeling Japanese food!

First time at Momotaro and loved it. Momotaro is a modern Japanese restaurant located in the West Loop. Japanese restaurant in Chicago. From the moment you enter to the time you leave, you are guaranteed to have a fantastic experience. Love the menu options and I liked that they have plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options as well. It's tapas style small plates that can be shared. Starting from Kuki To Buri, and Miso Soup to the Maneki Niko (dessert) everything tasted so fresh and wonderful. This is a super busy restaurant so get your reservations. Highly recommend this place.

The sushi melted in our mouth. We had buttery bites of uni and fatty toro. The presentation was beautiful and the fish was so fresh.Service was slow even with reservation. I was surprised to see how bus it was for a Monday night. The ambience is lively and trendy with lots sexu people floating in and out. It was obvious Momotaro is the ho to for good sushi.

I mean Momotaro is hands down a favorite in the city for sushi and for meat focused dishes. There is something on the menu for everyone. Swanky, modern ambiance. Always great service at the bar or in the dining room.

This place is incredible if you're looking for a high end Asian fusion restaurant. The vibe inside is edgy and the food is great. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a nice place in Fulton Market. Momotaro Izayaka downstairs is also incredible!

I really like this restaurant food, service and atmosphere all go hand in hand. My only complaint is the tables are too close together, not really intimate in that way since you will hear the next tables conversation. Food wise, I liked everything I ordered. The miso soup was tasty, but I would ask for no tofu it was alot in the bottom. The yakitori rice was great for sharing and the flavor profile was delicious. Can't go wrong with a sushi roll or the nigiri. I also like that the wait staff was constantly cleared the space and refreshing the flatware and plates. It is very dim, but it is apart of the feel of the place. I can't wait for my experience there.

Had reservations here for Friday night birthday dinner for my friend. It was a nice touch from the staff where they printed a personal Happy Birthday to my friend on her menu! All of the staff also wished she a happy birthday to make it extra special. The vibes are dark & moody with your Japanese influences. Seems like a great place for date night! Also a plus, the bathrooms are stocked with everything you need, including hair ties! Feels very personable. I got the chef seasonal nigiri selection and it did not disappoint! Each piece was well seasoned and some pieces even provided a smoky finish! The 10 day dry aged tuna nigiri sampler was also so delicious. The fish is on point here. I would come back here again! Just prepare to spend a pretty penny here, haha!
