Cute little family ran Mexican place in the heart of Coupeville. We went for breakfast on a Saturday on our way to Deception pass and had the chorizo burritos. I added potato to mine and it was so good, just like how my mom used to make them. The tortillas are home made and the salsas are bomb. I also loved that they had topo Chico water and seltzer, Jarritos, and Mexican Coke!

We stopped in for lunch and ordered the sincronizada, one with carnes asada and one with al pastor. It came with bean soup, tortilla chips and two salsas. Since we were sharing we also ordered the choriqueso. The bean soup was spicy, simple and fantastic. Perfect for a cold day. The tortilla chips came from the homemade tortillas were pleasantly thick and crunchy. A little salt and they would have been perfect. The red salsa wasn't flavorful. It tasted about as good as off season tomatoes in the grocery store. The Queso cheese was mild, almost flavor free which meant it relied on the chorizo for all the flavor. The two tacos were equally nondescript. Because we didn't like the red salsa we had to liberally apply the green salsa which was decent and spicy. The al pastor was, unfortunately, too tough to be edible. Overall the space was clean, offered peek a boo views from some seats and the service was prompt and friendly.

Really good. We stopped in for lunch and the wait was a short one. Nice view out the window of the water. I had the carne asada tacos which were juicy and flavorful.

Menu is not extensive, but what they do, they do well. We were there on a quiet weekday. Service was friendly and good. The guacamole (homemade chips included) was excellent. We also had the parrillada, which is their take on fajitas. Not the standard fare. The meat was fried up with onions and green peppers, mixed with cheese, and served in a hot molcajete. We spooned the mixture onto their homemade corn tortillas and enjoyed it greatly. It was plenty for two of us. Recommended. We will return.

As we walked in the door, a person was making fresh tortillas. That's a pretty good start. We were just there for a snack, so we ordered a basket of chips and salsa. Of course, the chips were outstanding, having been made with fresh tortillas. We each ordered a margarita, and it was so, so good. Definitely, it was scratch made as well, not from a mix. We were looking for a seafood dinner. Otherwise, this would have been a great dinner option.

The food comes with complimentary bean "soup." It's delicious! My partner and I tried the carnitas, carne asada, deshebrada, and al pastor tacos. Our ranking is...- Al Pastor- Deshebrada- Carne Asada- CarnitasThe carnitas and carne asada were on the dryer side but we had no complaints about the al pastor and deshebrada tacos.Overall, you can beat a restaurant that serves homemade tortillas.

Went here today with my friend, who is Mexican, with the intention of having lunch. He asked the person taking orders for chicken tacos. They told him they don't have chicken. They continued to state that they only serve *traditional* Mexican tacos. That may be what their focus is, and it is of course fine to inform us that they don't offer the item he wanted. The way it was said felt a bit condescending, like there was something wrong with his preferring chicken to what they had (pork, which he doesn't eat). It didn't feel great to have authentic Mexican foods explained to him. We both left without ordering anything. Unlikely to return as there are plenty of other places on island where we feel more welcome.

What a delicious spot! Came in for a quick bite and could've ordered ten more tacos lol okay but seriously, the friendly staff gave recommendations, the food came out within a few minutes and the casualness of the place allowed for enjoying the food while relaxing. It is a seat yourself deal but there are four single tables and a long farm style table to choose from. I ordered five tacos, one of each available meat. The carnitas and al pastor were my favorite!!!

Wonderful food prepared by a lovely family in a small cafe located on the waterfront of Coupeville's historic downtown (Whidbey Island, WA). We were exhausted and hungry after a gorgeous 6 mile hike at.Ebey's Landing, and this really hit the spot. I recommend the Sincronizada or the 5 tacos. Straight ahead fare done to perfection. And so reasonable!! Apologies for providing no pictures of the food, but we scarfed our orders down with delight!
