There has become no other place for me to get sushi. Chef Alan is welcoming, attentive and a master of his craft. The quality and care that goes in to each piece of fish he serves not only demonstrates the highest level of respect for the food, but also for his customers. The quality is unmatched. This spot is a gem in Wakefield and should not be overlooked. If you want the best, (including over that little basement back door south end sushi spot, which is also delicious) take a seat at Chef Alan's bar.

My very first omakase experience and I had a great time! The restaurant is super cute, small, and cozy. The sushi bar is very small and limited spacing for omakase... and they have a couple tables inside. They have more seating outside. When I went there was also another party doing omakase so the chef was making rounds for all of us at the same time. It was a very busy day that day but everything was very fast and presentable. Every item was super unique and refreshing. Great quality sushi and nicely prepped. The chef was very nice and friendly. We had a great time here, but I did leave hungry and wanting more. It was too good!

My husband and I, we are very picky when it comes to sushi . We came across Mojo a few weeks ago and it is kind of far from where we live. But we thought we would give it a try regardless of the distance. I can tell you, both my husband and I were blown away by their sushi. Their sushi is at another level. I wish I lived close by so we could visit Mojo every day . Mojo is definitely the kind of restaurant that I would recommend to my friends and bring my family here. The sushi chef and the staff were very friendly too.

Came here for omakase on a Friday night. It was pretty easy to make a reservation the week of. The restaurant is small with a separate area for the sushi counter and omakase seating. Service started slow but picked up after. The restaurant seemed pretty busy and we saw multiple people get turned away due to lack of seats. It was slightly chilly that night so no one utilized the outdoor seating area. Overall the sushi was very fresh and delicious. They served a variety of fish with unique toppings. There were no premium bites like toro or wagyu. They did have a little bit of uni on one of the nigiri. The tasting started out really strong but the momentum did not continue to the end of the meal. We were disappointed with the chawanmushi (was not smooth) and octopus dishes and there was no dessert at the end. We wanted to order additional nigiri at the end but they did not ask us and seemed too busy/flustered with all the backed up orders from regular dine in. Given the price, it is a decent option for omakase and we would definitely return to try the regular menu in the future!

Hands down one of the best sushi in the greater Boston area. There are only a handful of places in MA known for sushi and I would highly rate this establishment as one of them. The service from the chef was bar none. He really explained each nigiri he was making and every piece was top grade fish. The space is a bit small for a large party but good for an intimate night out. They do have an extensive menu. We went for the $90 omakase. I believe it was 15 pieces of chef special nigiris and small plates. By the end we were both full from the tasting.Despite this place not having the flashy ambience and "lux" vibe that many Boston sushi places have, they make up big time with their top grade sushi and one-one interaction with the chef making your course in front of you.

I've had a number of different omakase experiences over the years in Boston (e.g Umami, No Relations, O Ya, Uni, Cafe Sushi, Zuma, Ruka, Laughing Monk, Momi Nonmi, Ebi, Purple Shell) and this is probably my overall favorite spot for omakase in the area when considering the balance of the price, the quality of the fish, the rice, and experience. The omakase is currently priced at $90 for 14 different courses (12 pieces of nigiri, 2 cold appetizer/refreshers, plus a free miso soup) in which the experience lasts about a little over 1 hour. I loved that a number of the fish that they served were directly imported from Japan and that I was able to taste the natural fresh cleanliness of the fish. This was very much appreciated and important to me given that i personally think that the fish itself should be the center of attention and not all the additional unnecessary glitzy jazzy add-ons which may sometimes overpower the fish itself. The Hokkaido sea urchin here was also very delicious! If you order this a la carte, they will only charge you $8 dollars for this which is an absolute steal considering the quality that you are getting. I love sea urchin and I've easily paid 2-3x more for this at other restaurants and they were nowhere as good. I left here very happy and will look forward to coming back!

I have returned over a dozen or more times since they opened not long ago for the combination of the absolute highest quality sushi you will find in the extended area, plus the hospitality of the owners, Allen and Jevena. What I like most about Allen is he is open to honest feedback about what he is doing well and what can be better. He aims to please and provide the absolute best product available. To the troll who recently posted to claim this restaurant serves bland or non-fresh sushi, I have to question whether you really ate any food from the restaurant or just like to post on Yelp with fake posts. As a traditional sushi enthusiast, my minor complaint would actually be the complete opposite of what you have claimed. When you are serving sushi with the quality that MOJO serves, it doesn't actually need the additional flavors to be showcased, but MOJO does offer their sushi both omakase style or traditional sushi to suit whatever your preference is. None of what was in that recent review is accurate even in the least bit.Go to MOJO, sit at the Sushi bar if it's available, and Allen will showcase his talents and the highest quality sushi available. P.S. Try the pressed sushi (oshi zushi), this is one of my favorite dishes and Allen added to the menu at my request. It is great with Salmon or Hamachi (or Saba) and he also has a special vegan version as well.

A hole in the wall sushi location meets upscale, premium quality food. Mojo is great. I went there the first week open and they were working on their timing of food, but the kind heartedness of the husband and wife owners, and clear passion that they have for their food was evident. Was greeted with excited arms and took all of their recs on ordering. Everything was delicious and the fish was clearly high quality. A bit pricier than your average sushi spot but the product is also a lot higher. Smaller space inside, but spaces to sit nonetheless and come warm weather, premier outside spot on Main St right near the lake looking forward to trying more.
