**Updated YeWe recently visited Modena Ristorante Vinoteca for my brother's fiancée's birthday, bringing a large party of 14+ on a Sunday evening. The ambiance was pleasant, offering a calm setting for our gathering, but the restaurant was surprisingly empty, which made the experience feel a bit lackluster.Service by Caitlyn was the highlight of the evening--she was attentive with refills, provided excellent wine suggestions, and thoughtfully brought out a lovely cake for my future sister-in-law. Her attentiveness truly elevated our experience.As for the food, there were mixed feelings. While the calamari and chef's bruschetta were crowd favorites, several dishes, including the fettuccine con pollo, were lacking in flavor. I personally had the Vitello Alla Parmigiana, which came with spaghetti, and I added two meatballs. The veal lacked the depth of flavor I expected, the spaghetti was bland, but the meatballs were a standout--rich and flavorful.One downside was the unexpected charge for every additional serving of bread and oil, something that wasn't communicated to us upfront. While the wine was well-received by most of our group, the food overall didn't quite hit the mark, leaving us a bit underwhelmed. Modena has potential, especially with such excellent service, but there are definitely areas for improvement in the kitchen.

Solid Italian place nestled between kennesaw and Marietta. Nice clean restraint with good staff. Plating of food is really nice. Portions are European size which is smaller and fitting as an Italian place The taste is great!Not true authentic but very damn good for the Atlanta area.

I have been to Modena twice. The first time it was outstanding. We had great food, great wine and a great time - and truly exceptional service. The second and most recent visit was not as good, making it hard to rate Modena. I do love the ambience. The bar area is lovely and the bartenders are skilled. We started our most recent visit with some specialty cocktails, and they were excellent. Once seated, we shared the antipasto misto and the seafood appetizer and enjoyed both as a table.Dinner was where things went badly. One of my friends had one of the specials, and I think it had peppers and did not say so on the menu and she had an allergic reaction of some sort. My other friend ordered the veal and the sauce on it looked kind of like tomato paste straight from the can.both of them were extremely disappointed with their meals and had been to Modena in the past and also loved their food. The restaurant was very accommodating and offered both of my friends a different meal. Neither one wanted nor needed any additional food at that time. But it really put a damper on our evening. I had the saltimbocca and enjoyed it, and my leftovers the next day. My friends husband's got the pork special and liked it and my boyfriend got a steak with a lobster tail and shrimp. I mean, what is not to like there - surf and turf!! Our service was fine, but not outstanding like it was the first time that we were there.So I am giving Modena a 3 and will give it one more chance to wow me again someday.

The pro to this place is that the interior is nice. I like that their flatbread was seasonal but that was all that was impressive of the menu. I'm not one to shy away from trying a boogie place and the prices that come with it, however this was not one of those places. The service as others have said is decent but not spectacular for the prices they're charging. The food was mediocre for the price. No soup on the menu was interesting. My seasonal cocktail was meh. The prices just don't add up here for me so unfortunate I will not be returning.

If you've been wanting to go to Modena, this is your sign. The service, the ambiance, and of course the food is sooo good! Perfect date night for us. Go!

The food was good the service was exceptional and the price was high! The ambiance was vey dim and quiet it was rather romantic we went with the whole family. It was a birthday celebration and everything was amazing! Thank you for a good time.

Downgrade to the review. Apparently the purpose of the annoying reservation system was so that the restaurant could spam me at a later date. To recap, food was good but the reservation system was annoying as hell. Now I am getting unsolicited emails from the restaurant.

Their food is fantastic top of the line Italian cuisine. I wish they accepted cash as payment.

No, unfortunately they are judgmental. They let an inexperience so call bartender make decisions for the management. Poor customer service.
