Yes, I'm a transplant but I love to eat! My friends told me about this hidden gem so I went. I had a great late night dinner too!This place is cozy, cool and right on the lake!

Moby Dicky's is a great spot if you're looking for some amazing seafood! It's located on the water, so the aesthetic is just what you want when looking for seafood. It's a great spot to go to if you want to enjoy a nice lunch or dinner outside by the water!This time, I got the blackened mahi mahi with street corn, rice, and hush puppies. The Mahi Mahi was cooked perfectly, and the mango salsa to go with it was so tasty and fresh! The street corn was also fabulous, as they were generous with the cheese they put on. The clam chowder was also very creamy, with a ton of clams. Being from the Northeast, I was pleasantly surprised with the soup! My boyfriend really enjoyed his grouper dinner!Our waitress was also attentive and kind, and knew exactly what she was doing! We will be back, as we love this place so much. I highly recommend giving Moby Dicky's a try.

Well I am really ashamed because this is one of my secret favorite places to eat and I'm afraid that if I share too much it will become more crowded than it already is! Lol. I been Anyway, Abby andis our server and she is super gal! Patient, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.The food is always delicious and pleasing to the eyes. I ordered the crab legs and hubby ordered the grouper. I have been coming here about three years and LOVE IT!The ambience is nice. The atmosphere is great. I called my homeplace because everybody knows everybody. YOU GOTTA CHECK IT OUT!Hand down you may have to wait if you want be disappointed I promise.

Food is a wide variety of seafood, steak, bisque, oysters, grouper, Ahi tacos, calamari and catfish. Servers and bartenders are outstanding and fast on their feet! View and atmosphere is similar to ocean beach establishments. Moby Dicky's has private parking and covered patio dinning. Oh and never a long wait for a table. If you can't wait call ahead for a to go order. I assure you it's an 5 star rated in Hendersonville. You may also see a local Country Music Star or Taylor Swift if you're there often. The food was great but a little pricy. Big problem I had was I ordered fish tacos and got a fish plate which was considerably more. When I told our server it was incorrect but I didn't want to wait so I would eat it she said she was sorry. No comp!

Picture this, a warm sunny day and you walk in to the restaurant to be greeted by the savory smell of seafood only to be seated with a gorgeous lakeside view by a smiling hostess. Phenomenal! Everything from the food and customer service to the ambiance cannot be beat. My only complaint is that this place isn't open 7 days a week! But hey, it's a local small restaurant so I get it. The owner, Dicky and his staff are top notch. The catfish, drunken shrimp, crab legs, filet and fried shrimp are all flavorful and favorites of ours. The portions are abundant and the price for seafood is inexpensive for the amazing quality. The cocktails are artfully crafted and never disappoint. The smoked old fashion is always a great choice. Parking isn't ample so you must be strategic at times. That said, the wait is so worth the experience.

I live a local place to go to! The server Rachel was incredible! I'm going to come back! Food was hot and fresh and beautiful views!

They actually know how to fix a steak to my wife's approval! Their lobster tail is to kill for and the ONLY place that fixes a mean long Island tea! GREAT PLACE!

We dined at MD's this past weekend. Our Server, Heather, was so kind and attentive. Thank you Heather. Food was ok but not worth what we paid. Caesar Salad was just ok, not fresh or large enough. Grouper was greasy. A BIG, HUGE CON: VERY Dirty, Dusty Restaurant - thick dust on the ceiling, walls, tables, chairs and walls all need a deep cleaning, horrible spider webs in the corners with actual spiders crawling, dirty/sticky floors with food on the floor.

The outside under the patio with lake views dining was great. We met with some family to eat local and just visit. We were not rushed by the staff. We had great food at a great price. It's our new favorite!
