The drink is called the "RJ". This drink is ridiculous!!!!!Get yourself out the house and get to the spot "Mission On Fire" located in West RoxburyFood and drinks are too dope to break down ... The bartender "RJ" is a literal scientist with the drinks .. When u get here make sure he's working then take a seat at the bar and witness perfection ...Make sure u tell him Ducky sent for you You're welcome in advance !!!

I ordered the chile relleno to go as I wanted to try this new place and it seemed like a good entry into their food. When I got it home, I needed a magnifying glass to find it in the plastic container they provided. The menu says it's a stuff poblano pepper but it was a pepper cut in half with some breaded on either side with nothing seemingly stuff inside. The menu description was definitely more detailed than the final dish. Also, I realize prices are not what they were and that everything has gone up, but looking at the menu - $34 for a rotisserie chicken? $34? I can't imagine paying that for chicken.

we decided to give this place a try given that they just opened up. we gave it a couple of weeks for them to get settled. it was definitely a good atmosphere in there. we ordered the pasta and both didnt have much taste. they were kind of watery with the sauce. the bread that comes with the pasta could be a bit better. one of the bread that we had was literally crunchy and hard to bite. the meatballs were good though. seems like homemade.

Great new restaurant that just opened on Boston-Providence Hwy! Came here with my grandparents and we were delighted. The interior is really cool- red & black chic. The service here is great and the food is pretty solid as well! I really enjoyed my fried chicken sandwich-- it was so crispy just how I love it! The fries were great too and cheesy! The half chicken and mashed potatoes were perfect, and the meatball parm dish was our favorite! We topped the night off with some crème brûlée with fresh whipped cream and berries, some of the best I've ever had.

Came here yesterday with some family and so glad we did!We didn't get any drinks because we were still recovering from our weekend BUT. We were seated quickly and our server was so lovely, making sure we had everything we needed and our cups of water were always *full*.The appetizers were good but were a little overpriced for what they give you (tapas style but like, one empanada per plate which is meh). THAT BEING SAID, food was SO good. I got the Spanish Harissa chicken and my boyfriend got the Mission on Fire chicken. VERY much worth your money. His plate came a little after everyone else's and to apologize, they gave him A WHOLE CHICKEN (oh, FYI. For the chicken dishes, you can get either half a chicken or a whole chicken. We both ordered halves but THEY GAVE HIM A WHOLE TO APOLOGIZE, and only charged him for half! What service! We were so pleasantly surprised and it wasn't even that long of a wait for his food). Restaurant itself was nice and spacious, easy to find, and had parking which is always a plus. Next time, I'll try a drink, skip the apps, and go straight to the entree so that I actually have room for dessert. Thanks so much for a lovely dinner, Mission on Fire!

Kind of like this restaurant, is a different vibe from were Sophia's steakhouse use to be in W Roxbury PrkwI like the menu is very big and everything I had was tasty, it's a blend of different spices, something new in the Boston area West Roxbury. So give it a try!Service was top notch I must say cause I'm picky, very good vibe in there! I like the ambiance

Food was great service even better. We started with dollar oysters which was a special they run weekly on Mondaysat the bar. Then moved along to some tapas, the bbq brisket was outstanding. Entrees where the churrasco steak and the blackened salmon again knocked it out of the park. Cocktails on point throughout but peanut butter cup martini and smores brownie where a great way to end the experience. 10/10 will be back.

I love coming to Mission on Fire since they opened. The ambience is very chic and the restaurant doesn't get too loud. The menu offers a lot of different kinds of food which is nice for picky eaters (like me) and everything always comes out great. Overall the service has been prompt and friendly, especially the bartenders. Def recommend:)

We went on a Saturday for the $20 dollar bottomless brunch (great price). Checked out the menu before hand and it looked good. We sat, ordered, and waited for the food. The first round of items were pretty good-huevos rancheros was great, scrambled eggs, steak taco, meatballs, and avocado toast were okay. Needed seasoning but no salt or pepper on table. The brunch comes with bread and homefries for free that never showed up, but after asking the waitress about them they came to the table pretty quickly. Second round fish tacos, salmon tacos, waffles, and French toast. All yummy besides the fish tacos. I took two bites and each one had a pin bone. I was very disappointed because I love fish tacos. The waitress was very friendly but you could tell she was overwhelmed with a pretty packed dining room being the only server. I didn't have the heart to tell her about the bones. Final round I got the huevos rancheros again but there was no delish short rib this time!! This time I spoke up to I think the manager? He was running around helping the server with a nice lunch/brunch pop she was dealing with. He was very nice and offered a refire but I declined because my two year old and husband were ready to go. I think this place could be really good, but they need more time to work out their kinks for sure. We will go back in 6 months or so to try it again.

Mission of Fire needs work. Maybe we'll try the again in 6 months. Four of us went for dinner. It's very loud, unlike its predecessors Sofia and Vintage. I think it's because they expanded the bar size, forcing them to cram the rest of the tables too close together, and removing the sound dampening separators that Sofia used. Our table of four were shouting to hear each other. The food was okay; no complaints but not praises either. The fried calamari was prepared fine (ie not over fried), but the breading was bland. My cheeseburger was above average, but, again, nothing distinctive. My friends got the lobster empanada, which they liked, and unremarkable chicken dishes. There was no sense that items had been fired grilled (ie no flavorful char). Service was good. We had the same waitress who had served us many times before at Sofia's, so she knew her stuff. Mostly, just too darn loud.
