Mission Baja Tacos

My family and I recently discovered this cute family owned and operated Tacoria, while vacationing at Mission Beach. The menu is expansive and offers everything from traditional steak tacos, tortas and burritos to ceviche tostadas and fish tacos. All made with fresh vibrant ingredient's. Personally, I feel the key to a true Tacoria is the scratch made tortillas and homemade salsas and sauces.There is nothing better than the first bite of a soft homemade tortilla...... We enjoyed our first time so much that we ended up going back a second night to explore some more menu items. And we're so glad we did. So, if you want fresh and authentic tacos, this is where you need to be.

I enjoyed a very good ham and eggs breakfast burrito from this newer taco shop in Mission Beach. The burrito cost $12.99, a little pricey, but given where this business is located, a block from the beach, it's understood.The burrito was quite large and came with a very good amount of ham and eggs, not to mention potatoes and some cheese. I liked that they used an all white cheese, but a little more cheese would have been welcomed. Good breakfast burrito and very filling. They offer a nice salsa bar with good choices, including three hot sauces, hot carrots, fresh pico, radishes, pickled onions, cilantro, and limes. The hot sauce and pico were very good.The staff members ate very friendly. Oh yes, they make their own corn tortillas in-house, and they are terrific. Inside seating only is available.

Best taco shop in San Diego I've been to hands down. New owner has only been open 3 months, he's super chill, works here himself, and the tortillas are freshly made to order. Best tortillas I've ever had in san diego, or anywhere. And the salsa bar is properly stocked with all the goodies and then some. Can't state enough how above and beyond this taco shop is compared to others around here. A++

Amazing tacos. Might be the best in PB! Got the Birria and fish tacos. Super delicious. Salsa bar is great too - friendly staff and good came out in like 5 mins. Highly recommend

Fresh quality ingredients and excellent service. They make the corn tortillas right in front of you for your order. We got the carne asada taco, the birria taco and the carne asada quesadilla (this could easily feed 2 people). All were amazing. We also got the house-made horchata which was the best horchata I have ever had. There is also a salsa bar with topping. The salsas were very flavorful. I highly recommend eating here.

My favorite taco spot in PB and mission beach - hands down. The Al pastor and the birria tacos are incredible. Prices are good. Service is awesome and friendly. The salsas are incredible - highly recommend

Delicious, fresh, and so inexpensive! We got three tacos - birria, carnitas, and fish. They were all delicious but definitely would get the fish one all the time if I lived closer. The salsas in the self-serve salsa bar are also great. Recommend coming here, getting a few tacos, and heading to the beach a block away to eat them with an ocean view.

New favorite spot. Will be back again to try again. Not a tourist trap. I got the carne asada taco and it was fresh and on point. Can't wait to try their Cali burrito on another visit!

These tacos were so good! The homemade corn tortillas were amazing! We had carne asada and carnitas. Also the rolled tacos are the best Ive ever had!

Absolutely awesome! My hubby had the Carne Asada burrito which was big and full of wonderful Carne Asada no fat or gristle, just wonderful charred Carne Asada with a load of guacamole in it and I thought the price was high but it was well worth every penny...you get what you pay for. I had the rolled beef tacos and they were completely loaded with meat we will definitely be back! . Hopefully they'll keep up the good work and be able to make it here in our little old Mission Beach!
