This place is a must visit! Diane the owner is a gem and an important part of the Bedford community! All the employees give service with a smile. The tables and countertops are always clean! Food is incredible! Try the cheesecake French Toast!

Updating this review post manager feedback:-3% Kitchen is not voluntary as mentioned- it was rung up on my take out bill once she was handed a credit card. Again- always happy to tip with consent.-We didn't have an "old take out menu" that was fabricated by the manager/owner (noticing a pattern of deception?!)- the pricing discrepancy was with their OWN current website. The review never once mentioned a take out menu. *This place isn't ethical- consumer beware.

4 of us flew into Bedford MA on a service flight. Never having been to the Minuteman Diner in Bedford, and after a recommendation of "good food" from a local customer see manager at the local airport, we decided to hit it a try.My "Classic Reuben" was served like-warm and the meat was definitely "off" - I tasted it separately after taking a bite and it tasted old and ransid. I have NEVER sent food back and decided to not eat anything, as i was no longer feeling hungry after that much of my food there. One other in our group ordered grilled chicken breast and broccoli. His chicken was dried out throughout, but tasted ok so he used some syrup that was on the table and ate most of it.Sadly, in spite of being low on customers, the service was also lacking (didn't provide lemon in waters even though asked when placing the order; she was not often present to ask for sauce for the chicken or for lemons - again...)I DO NOT recommend this "diner" due to food and for service reasons.I will say this - the customers seemed friendly enough...

Update 3/2024 - I stopped in for lunch on Sunday. The restaurant was cold inside- Wear your jacket to eat lunch cold. We sat at the last open table... and waited. And waited. Eventually we ordered drinks and food. I ordered an Irish Benny with home fries. The Corned Beef as usual was great. The English muffin was also fantastic. The home fries were barely warm. I waited for a while for our server to check with us so I could ask for warm home fries... but no one came. Eventually another person came over to get me a drink refill. We asked for the check and left. When you walk in, there is a sign saying that menu prices may fluctuate given market conditions. Makes sense. Then when you sit down, there is a tiny line on the menu that there is a "3% Kitchen appreciation fee is added to all checks. Thank you for your support!" So a fee for cold home fries? ... it is not an option. Nice touch to soak us for more $$. I appreciate the little line entry on the menu to cover yourselves.Sorry Minuteman Diner, you lost me. There are better places that have heat, decent service, and hot food. My advice - move on. Places that nickel and dime with secret "fees" and signs to make it clear that prices are fluid are not worth your visit/money. Find an honest business.

Old school diner that was recommended by my hotel as it was near to where I was staying. I was welcomed warmly and seated right away. The server was quick to bring my drinks and took my order. I ordered the mighty scrambler, to which the server praised my selection. The food came out quick and was very delicious. The hashbriwn waffle on the bottom was a surprise and tasty. My only complaint was there was not enough hollandaise sauce on it. The restaurant was the perfect place to have reminisce about the old days.

Great diner! Monte Cristo and Irish Benedict were excellent! Eggs cooked perfectly for the bene. The home fries are quartered potatoes and my favorite style. They were great. Friendly staff and the full bar was a plus. Very nice setup inside. I dine out often and also am a dasher. I see lots of restaurants, I would recommend and will return.

I am IMPRESSED. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is actually pretty good! The have a big menu and lots of variety for breakfast/brunch.The atmosphere is great, the employees were super friendly and nice to us as well as themselves. I liked the way they communicated to eachother, it shows that they have a organized work ethic back there. The food came out fast, and the quality of food was great! Smoked salmon Benedict - 8/10 This is my first time having eggs Benedict! I am impressed at the size of this thing! The smoked salmon is fresh and delicious, goes really well with the sauce. The egg is a soft sunny side up egg, but I think traditionally it's suppose to be poached but it still tasted good. The hollandaise sauce itself was okay, didn't have enough flavor in my opinion but nice consistency. The potatos were nice and crisp! Chicken and Waffles - 8/10The best chicken and waffles ever! The waffle is HUGEEE and super fluffy and crisp on the outside. I love these waffles! The chicken itself was okay, definitely didn't taste fresh. Overall, this is a great diner. Lots of options for everyone and personally I'm not a breakfast person but I still enjoyed my experience here!

The mandatory "kitchen appreciation fee" is ridiculous. I would have appreciated the kitchen a whole lot more if my eggs weren't over cooked and if my toast wasn't burnt. That, along with an overpriced side of bacon means I won't be coming back anytime soon.

Customer service was fantastic, but the food is extremely overpriced. Overpriced for egg beater omelettes and spoiled ingredients. Highly do not recommend.
