Came in Tuesday for happy hour. There was literally only one other person here other than my friend.Food took 30 minutes. It also came out Lukewarm, all of it.None of it was hot.Chicken fondue gave me food poisoning, I know this because it was literally the only thing I ate in the afternoon.I am currently on the toilet right now, making a Yelp review just for this. Also added gratuity for 2 people? Come on now.I tipped the bartender an extra $10 just because I know it wasn't his fault I do not recommend this place what so ever.

5 star vibe, 6 star service! The server and bartender were both so incredibly patient and knowledgeable the last 2 times we came through."Modern" food is always pretty 50/50 in my opinion. Interesting takes on Indian street food as well as some crafty creations I've never seen. Pricey. Surprisingly slow, but being I only heard by word of mouth perhaps marketing could be better would love to see this place survive!MOCKTAILS GALORE! And not just glorified juice, has the reallll fake liquor stuff. Lots of great vegetarian options too.Food thoughts...the passion fruit pani puri was a fun experience, but the flavor of the cold liquid was too sharp for my taste. "Large plates" are in classic fancy food fashion, small. But the lababdar had flavor and texture like no other! The stuffed eggplant dish was also good, but happy the server recommended adding fried okra bits for texture because otherwise it's all squish. The daulat ki chat dessert may have been my favorite part of it all- such great flavor and texture.

Incredible, innovative progressive Indian food with all the authentic flavors and a modern touch! My friend brought me to Mint for Seattle's restaurant week. We decided to meet for dinner on a weekday hence getting a reservation was easy. They have an amazing drinks menu. For the drinks, I ordered Garden of Bangalore. The name is quite fitting for this cocktail. I absolutely loved every note of my drink. My friend ordered calm before the storm which was served in a cute elephant shaped glass. Both these cocktails were gin based and we absolutely loved it. For the restaurant week menu, there were 3 courses and each course had 3 items to choose from. We were served the complimentary dhokla which absolutely melted in my mouth. Our server sprayed it some savory juice on it. Then I ordered chicken scotch egg from the first course. Hands down this was the best dish I ate here. The scotch eggs were wrapped in spiced breaded chicken and baked with flavorful potato spaghetti. It was heavenly. For the second course I ordered stuffed malai chicken. The chicken was very well cooked and also served with extra sauce with right flavors. For the third course of desserts, we shared Ash n Kulfi and rabdi ghewar. Kulfi was a bit hard initially but after some time we could enjoy charcoal flavor of it. Ghewar was a bit too sweet for my taste but nonetheless we finished it. The presentation was phenomenal. Our server was super friendly, and very attentive. Overall service was excellent. We did get our order wrong and were served cauliflower but the server instantly corrected the mistake and graciously let us enjoy that dish. The vibe of this place was quite upscale and cozy. This meal was honestly one of the best food I've had in Seattle so far. This restaurant is obviously on higher end in terms of pricing but taste, quality and overall service justify the cost. Only annoying part is the 20% service charge. But I guess every other restaurants are charging these stupid fees. Nonetheless, it was absolute delightful dinner! I strongly recommend!

Crazy delicious!! Food and presentation were out of this world. Amazing flavors and even the papadum were dressed to perfection. Chutneys were sweet, spicy, and a special creamy raita - which was vegan! As if that weren't enough, the service was top notch. Very thorough mocktail selection - enjoyed one of those... then got a special show when I ordered the Old Fashioned, in which they add a special homemade bitters and finish with their custom smoking chips blend - it's worth it to head to the bar for this one! This place is a solid bookmark for my next visit, and recommending to friends anytime they visit too!

Mint is a progressive Indian restaurant in Seattle downtown, where they do modern take on traditional food and drinks. I'm a big fan of this style! We had made a reservation in advance through open table. The restaurant is big with a nice ambience. Our server was really welcoming and recommended few dishes to us and we ordered some of those, they were delicious. We ordered cauliflower, shrimp and short ribs between the two of us. The cauliflower was our favorite - it was really crunchy and flavorful. My cocktail had floral notes and truly reminded me of a garden. We finished off our dinner with the rasamalai which was the right amount of sweet.

The lunch experience was refreshingly quiet. Our server was attentive and detailed in explaining the dishes and their spice levels. The flavors of the dishes deviated slightly from the typical curry base found in most Indian restaurants, especially noticeable in the gongura paneer, which carried hints of the leafy green vegetable typical of certain regions in India. Opting out of whipped cream in my mango lassi was a calorie-saving choice. The laccha paratha was decent, meeting the expected taste standards. A heads up, complementary rice is not provided. Overall, the ambiance was tastefully executed.

I'll just start by saying I can't wait to go back here.We went there for lunch, got a bit late and technically entered during their happy hour (after 2.30). I was really hangry and was happy to order anything edible at that moment! But, their happy hour menu is not ordinary at all. We had a full course meal with extremely good cocktail pairing to it. Ordered paneer tacos, chutney sampler with papad (4 kinds I think!) & hazelnut masala papad. The staff were amazing and empathetic. I honestly told them that we were there for lunch and were wicked hungry and they actually got the order out so fast and were so happy to help! The ambiance deserves all the extra marks here. It is literally mint green sobered up in there. Great details and super pleasant on the eye. Definitely going back to get that lunch/dinner that I missed out on. A tiny thing I'd wish is that they update their online deets to say that lunch stops at 2.30 and then it's happy hour instead of having it say it's open all day!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Kozhi roast, Tribe mushroom heritage, and the Black forest rasmalai - they were the highlights of my dining experience. The unique take on Indian cuisine here is both refreshing and delicious. As expected, this place leans on the pricier side, but the friendly service and inviting ambiance make it worthwhile, especially for special dinners. If you're looking for an upscale experience, this spot delivers on both service and atmosphere.

Came here tonight (Saturday 22 June 2024) for the first time to have dinner with a group - I've had my eye on Mint Progressive ever since they opened roughly a year and a half ago and heard good word of mouth since. I definitely think this is a dining experience best shared with a larger group so you can try a bunch of different items family style as they have a wide range of dishes. My reservation was originally for a group of 8, but one friend was sick and the other out of town so the remaining 6 of us trooped right in ready to dig into as much as possible! In our group, only one had any sort of dietary restrictions (she's a pescatarian) but we only ordered one dish she could not partake as the seafood and vegetarian offerings are plentiful and interesting. Our reservation was at 7pm and I walked into a gorgeously decorated space (clearly thought through) but the place literally looked dead. There were a handful of dining patrons in the back where we were seated but the entire front bar & lounge was crickets. The back area filled up as we dined but the front remained that way until we left at 9:30pm. Not sure if this is a normal occurrence or we just hit a off-night? It was, however, wonderful to see such a massive crowd of other Indians, albeit of the NRI and not ABCD variety. DRINKS-Which we ordered first while perusing the menu-- A bottle of wine for the four ladies -- me, Ms. Italiana, Madame Montevideo, and Ms. Stylista (Le Contesse Pinot Noir Brut Rose from Vazzola, Italy - $52; "Mineral-driven wine with a good amount of natural acidity. The palate is more about the slaking mouthfeel than it is about fruit depth. It's structured and lively with an undeniable balance.")-- A Guiness for Mr. President and then another later in the meal ($9/each)-- Mr. Wichita (LOL!) went for the "In a Pench" -- ($17) Silver Rum, Melon, Fresh Mint, Lime Cordial, Egg White. It was SO pretty when served with an artful MINT logo on top of the egg white foam.FOOD!!-First of all, let me say that everyone left quite pleased. However, there were noted favorites and others that completely missed the mark. They firstly brought out an amuse bouche on the house which they said was a dhokla. I'll take my mom's homemade dhokla anyday (duh!) - this was too "wet" somehow. In our first course, we ordered 3 starters and a naan. And in our second course, we did 1 more starter, 3 mains, 2 more naans, and 3 sides of rice (2 zaffrani + 1 plain). Let's get down to it!Starters:-- Southern Fried Cauliflower, $16 (VEGETARIAN -- Purple Espuma, Sour Cream, Mint Chutney, 65 Sauce)-- everyone died over this one. Ms. Italiana said she would return to eat just this, several plates of it.-- Tandoori Pineapple Burrata, $17 (VEGETARIAN -- Masala Walnut, Cilantro Chimichurri, House Salad)-- also good with the charred-in-the-tandoor-carmelized pineapple fanned out around the giant mound of burrata.-- Passionfruit Pani Puri, $16 (VEGAN -- Kaffir Lime, Roasted Cumin, Yellow Peas)-- comes in 6 shots presentation and this was a mixed bag as it was the first time most of these crazies have ever had India's quintessential street food. I liked it much better than the other fusion pani puri across the lake at Farzi Cafe - flavors were all pretty much there minus the heat in the pani, my only nit was make it just a little smaller for the one-bite!-- Tandoori Lobster Benedict, $20 (English Muffin, Hollandaise Sauce, Furikake)-- This was a giant miss for me/us. I was looking forward to this SO much as I heart lobster and the presentation was excellent but it was cold, rubbery and flavorless. Just NO.-- Plain Naan ($6) was good, cut into 5 handy pieces and stacked vertical for compactness in a special container. We were told to get with the burrata dish and it wasn't wrong.Mains:-- Bagara Stuffed Aubergine, $24 (VEGAN -- Garlic Thecha, Sesame, Peanut, Fresh Coconut)-- another one everyone died over. Madame Montevideo said she would return to eat just this, another several plates of.-- Scallop Moilee, $32 (Coconut, Kadambuttu, Lemongrass, Curry Leaves)-- once upon a time I vacationed in Kerala, one of the southern Indian states from whence moilee curry comes from. This was pretty darn tasty in comparison, minus the spice level which clearly Mint has had to gringify in all their dishes. I'll just bring some pocket red pepper powder the next time LOL!-- Supreme Butter Chicken, $28 (Sundried Tomato, Honey, Cashews)-- In two words, TOO SWEET. I actually requested this one, even though Ms. Stylista could not partake. It's just my barometer for Indian food and I can't help it. With the addition of honey and without it's normal spiciness it was just off. Do not recommend!-- 2 more Plain Naans, as mentioned above-- 2 Zaffrani ($7 each) & 1 plain ($4) rices to go with all the sauciness in the dishes.I've hit my char limit, so review 2 will get into dessert, service, and total price for value. Stay Tuned! :)
