This Is my to go rest for when I crave the hour and soup noodle soup. I tried it last year for the first time and I returned almost every other week to get their hot and sour noodle soup cause it was THAT addicting. I tried other rice dishes but they were not as good as the soup. Their meat buns are humongous and worth the price. The soy milk drink is delicious!!! Definitely a great combo with the noodle soup. It's a semi self serve restaurant so it's great for quick meals. Service is also fast. Great location if you live in this area.

Hands down best noodle soup in Chicago... Would highly recommend! Kind of far from downtown but close to the white Sox stadium. Maybe 3 stops on the bus.

Despite eating on Halsted every week, this weekend was our first time stopping in. *TLDR: we've been missing out!*We were delighted by their extensive menu selection and the ease of ordering at the counter before grabbing a seat. We finished ordering by 12:30pm and just barely beat the lunch wave that came in (almost every table full minus a few seats at the window counter) and the online orders were also flowing. It all made sense when our noodles arrived! My husband loved the flavor, spice level and quantity of the beef Chongking he ordered. I was pleasantly surprised with the balanced flavor of their Dan Dan noodles and ended up finishing the whole bowl myself (usually I bring home leftovers when I order any noodle/soups, especially at lunch). Great prices, tons of options (tea drinks + food), and flavor-packed dishes. Not to mention: the staff was kind throughout the lunch rush, and the tables + seats were solid and arranged nicely for a comfortable dine in experience! Can't wait to add this spot to our weekly lunch rotation and explore the rest of their menu.

I came here once to try it out. We did a mix of 2 pork and 2 beef baos. The baos were a good size and they were flavorful. Meat was fresh and bun was soft. I honestly forgot what my main entree was but it was very decent. Broth was savory not watery. Meat and egg were delicious. Noodles were soft and a little chewy. Service was good. There were plenty of tables to eat. We did paid street parking. Prices were okay.

We had their pork and beef bao and the braised beef noodle soup. The bao were one of the best I've tried. It was juicy and packed in flavor as if it had some soup in it. We had the mild spicy flavor for the soup. For people who don't like it too spicy this one was perfect; it had a good kick to it. Only sad thing about the experience is that we didn't come any sooner ! Worth the extra miles if you're coming from the north side !

I came here after a Sox game for takeout to bring back to my place. I ordered both the Spicy Pig Ears and Original Spicy Chunking Noodles and they were both DELICIOUS. Portion size was good and normal for the price point and I devoured my food. I probably should have just eaten there so it was 100% fresh out of the kitchen, but either way it tasted great even 25 minutes later when I arrived home. This place is a sleeper gem for sure - if you are craving more of Chongqing-style of food, come here!

Definitely a neighborhood favorite. Spouse always get the chicken chungking at their spiciest with wheat noodles extra egg.I usually get their spare ribs chungking noodle at their mildest with rice noodles. It never looks like much but it's always super filling.

A hidden gem in Bridgeport. The Chongking wonton soup or spicy wonton is 10/10. The silken tofu is a highly recommended dessert made of soy bean milk. My new go to spot.

First time I went there with my friends the noodles were amazing and super flavorful. Our favorite was the Dandan noodle which was rich with peanut and red Szechuan chilli flavor. Not the bland and sweetened kind you get in Americanized Chinese restaurants. The cold appetizers were also fresh and delicious. Service was amazing and we were able to customize the noodles so they were vegetarian friendly.However when I ordered on Grubhub today the Uyghur style noodle was nothing like how it's supposed to be. Authentic uyghur noodles should be really spicy and dry stir fried (from my experience), not soaked in a bad tomato sauce which just tastes like diluted ketchup. I also asked for extra spice but I'm not sure if it was Grubhub or the restaurant that messed up the order. I also didn't receive any notification when the order was delivered so the noodle were all sticky and lost its texture. Anyway, try dine in instead maybe the food will be prepared with better care.
