Zen Asia

This place is incredible! Some of the best Asian food I've had. I recently had the sesame chicken dinner special that came with fried rice two wontons and an eggroll. The sesame sauce wasn't just your ordinary sauce out of a bottle, it tasted homemade with nice hints of ginger and garlic. The chicken was quality and tasted like it was freshly breaded. The wontons and egg rolls also tasted homemade and unique. The fried rice was perfectly cooked. Great experience.It can be difficult to find an Asian place that makes unique food and this place does exactly that. Impressive and very tasty. I highly recommend this place.One issue with this place is that it's hard to find on Google (searching the typical "Chinese food") and I don't think anyone in the area knows about it because they're never busy. I pray this place gets more business, they deserve it.

​Staff was very friendly and food came out quickly. I got the Bun Bo Hue noodle soup, which was perfect for a chilly winter day. My husband got the Kung Pao chicken. Generous portions and food was very yummy.

This place has the best Pho! The broth is so flavorful-unlike a few others I have tried in the area. They also have the best Thai spring rolls-they are big and full of chicken and shrimp. They also have great pork fried rice. It is hidden behind cub foods-so am sure gets overlooked but once you try their food-you'll be back!

Fabulous food & people! We have become "Nancy's Favorite Customers!to listen to her. But this bundle of enthusiasm makes Zen Asia a place we often visit choose for great food & good prices. Not to mention a very relaxing decor. Linda & Paul

Zen Asia is a family-owned restaurant. They used to own Vietnam Star (Maplewood) and Vietnam Restaurant (Woodbury) so I have tried most of the food their food. The food is made fresh to order and always flavorful. At Zen Asia, it appears the owner, Nancy waits the dining area alone when I have visited a few times post-COVID era. She builds rapport with every customers that comes through. It feels very welcoming and like visiting an old friend. The ambiance is casual. Nancy will give you enough time to see the menu, will check on you frequently, and if you'd like and based on the busy level, she might chat with you. I recommend the Vietnamese spring rolls are my all-time favorite, egg rolls, and cream cheese wontons. For entrees, Hot & spicy chicken is all-time customer's favorite; as a person who doesn't like spicy food, it is actually flavorful and can be done without the spiciness. Pho, Mongolian beef, com dac biet (combination rice platter), bun bowls (rice stick noodle salad bowl), chicken pad Thai, and various stir-fry are great.

Stopped here on a lark while running an errand in the neighborhood on a weeknight. The place was fairly dead, with just another seated table and an occasional to-go order. We had the Vietnamese spring rolls, bun tom xau, and com dac biet. These were all fantastic and after renewing our memberships in the clean plate club, we left very full with intentions to visit again in the future. The service was great too.

The Hot and spicy chicken is SO good that it's hard for me to order anything else. I wish this place was closer but I make sure to stop on whenever I'm even somewhat close. Other highlights include the pho and the cream cheese wontons. The Thai Iced Tea is also incredibly refreshing on a hot day!The food is awesome and Nancy is the greatest!

We stopped by today for lunch. Ive never been here before so we thought we would try it out. The owner/server was very friendly and made us feel right at home. We ordered the fresh spring rolls, which are made to order. We also split an order of Vietnamese pad thai it was very good. We will be back again soon. They offer a lunch special during the week so we would like to give that a try.

Food quality is poor and our dishes were super greasy! Foods were served on broken and overly worn out plates and the bowls were chipped, including old utensils. Please go easy on the oil, we couldn't even finish our food because they were so much grease, it made me sick afterwards. Please replace old cracked dishes to prevent hazardous materials when consumed. Definitely will not go back to this place!

First time here and saw a lot of good reviews. Came here for dinner and needed some hot noodle soup and it definitely hit the spot. The broth was delicious and had a lot of flavor. Plenty of protein with my Pho Seafood/beef combo. The owner and server was super friendly and service was great. I would definitely recommend this spot if you want some good service and food.
