Wissota View

This is a nice little bar and grill. Good beer on tap and good food. The mushroom and Swiss burger was tasty (have them put jalapeños on it). The broasted chicken was very good also. They have a patio with great views of the lake and a large dock so you can come in by boat.

Loved this hidden gem on Co Road X, Paint Creek & Lake Wissota! Excellent food, service, atmosphere/vibe...and GREAT VIEWS! Nothing highbrow about this stop that you can drive, motorcycle, bicycle, kayak, swim or boat to! Family atmosphere out on the deck today-watching the kids scarf down pizza before they go back on the boat. We had the Paint Creek Burger (added some jalapeños to it-thank you!), 16oz local brewery draft (only $3.75!), and a HUGE Broasted Chicken Basket (a whole chicken for $15!). I was tempted to have the interesting looking cocktail that the mom of the kids was having, but I had to drive the car afterwards. Next time, Wissota View!

we had our food picked out based on the menu online. Neither of our sandwiches were on the menu in the actual restaurant and the prices were higher than what they have posted online. We did decide to order loaded tots even though they were sort of expensive...we got 15-20 tots with a little taco meat, a couple black olives, and a couple jalapeños. They were Luke warm and definitely not worth $11.25. I will admit the burgers we did end up ordering were juicy and tasty though.

Stopped in for lunch while on vacation from Iowa. The building is beautiful. Looks to be a fun place at night. Busy for midweek. Service was attentive - just one gal waiting tables and tending bar. I had the crispy chicken salad and was disappointed. It was lettuce, cheese and tomatoes with my chicken - it was like a large dinner salad. My fault for ordering salad in a bar, right? My wife had some cheese bites. Burgers at other tables looked awesome. Maybe we'll give it another try.

We stopped in for dinner while on vacation. Our server, Kirsten, was fantastic. We had a group of 9 and she did a great job checking back in on us for drinks. The food was good and the bar was spacious and had a dart board and pool table as well as some games for kids. We would definitely go back when we are in the area.

Came here on a Friday night, showed up before dinner rush and still didn't get our food until almost 7.-Server was awful-Food was cold-Fish was overcooked-Ketchup empty at our table-Dirty silverware at our table-Cole slaw was flavorless/generic-No choice of sides with fish dinner-Orders were messed up-Bill was messed up, and was not even asked to separate the bill per my party.

Ordered wings and shrimp basket. The shrimp basket was not good. Advertised as a beer battered shrimp, but it was obviously frozen out of a bag. Not good at all. The wings were all drummies, which is fine, but I ordered an Asian sesame sauce, and they literally had no taste to them at all. They may as well have been naked drummies. Friends ordered the smoked Gouda bites. Tried one of those and wouldn't eat another one of them. The service was fine and the waitress was good. Just don't expect good food here.

Awesome location. Iconic building. Beautiful views. But service was lacking....again. Waited so long for our food we just canceled our order. good drinks

We stopped at the view for lunch on a nice Saturday. The building is very nice and has excellent views of Lake Wissota. The bar has three garage doors that can open to the outside. It was nice and cool. The menu isn't huge but has lots of good options. Our table had a crispy chicken salad and a western burger with a crispy chicken patty instead. The lettuce and veggies were fresh. Great toppings to lettuce ratio. Very filling! It included a large cup of dressing and a breadstick. The western chicken sandwich was also tasty. Having your choice of proteins was nice. Initially, the service was speedy. We were seated and got a menu right away. Drinks and food come out quickly. It took longer than desired for our waitress to return to check on us and get us the bill. Overall it was a tasty lunch spot. I would go back.

Been waiting for 15 minutes for a beer while 3 bartenders look at their phone behind the bar. Good pizza, but poor service.
