Wissota High Shores Supper Club

This supper club out did Ishnala in the Wisconsin Dells by FAR! EXCELLENT food, and service, our server Rachel was bubbly, fun, and knew everything we wanted to know.We will repeat this trip event even though it's a 5 hour drive!!

We were looking for a nice supper club near Eau Claire. Group of 4 on a Saturday night. 2 had the prime rib, one almond crusted walleye and a chicken cordon bleu. Ok, typical supper club fare. Our table was by the Salad bar, which was fantastic but kinda in the middle of the room and we always had people hanging by our table. Prime rib melted in your mouth. Walleye was done well and amaretto brown sauce was a flavorful addition Chicken was also well done. We did start with steak bites and salmon spread. The bites were fantastic, the salmon spread also was well done but needed just a bit of a kick. We added the horseradish sauce from the steak bites. Drinks were well done and old fashioned's didn't let us down. Waitstaff was perfect as well. Another can't miss in the EC area. Do make a reservation, it's crowded and kinda loud.

We came for the Saturday Night prime rib. Come early as they sell out. Dinners include a choice of starch and soup and salad bar. The salad bar has a choice of two soups, many types of greens and veggie toppings, Rolls, pasta salads, pickled herring, pudding and more. A meal in itself. The prime rib arrived rare as ordered with au jus. The hashbrowns were crispy and good. Drinks are reasonably priced. Service was excellent

Stopped here on our way home from the Vikings Packers game. We weren't the only ones with this idea. I made reservations from the car once we picked this locations and I'm glad I did as there was a line of people waiting for tables. We were promptly seated in a nice booth with high walls. It took a bit to get service as our server was finishing up with a large birthday party but once she got to us, she was great and apologized for the wait. I chose the panko walleye and a baked potato which was great. Everything was brought out hot. I started with the salad bar which had all kinds of great veggies and toppings. Almost wish I would have just got the salad bar for my meal. It definitely was a supper club vibe. Patrons were nice to us in our Vikings garb, congratulating us on our victory. Nice stop.

Server Danesia gave me a hug and asked my name! Super server who stayed on top of 11 of us with finesse! Nothing better than an old fashioned supper club with good old comfort food. Love me the old time vibes! She recommended the Duck Confit and I would make the 2 hour drive just to enjoy it again. Loved the photos and fish tank and the extensive salad bar was included with entrees. If you wanted it, there it was!

This place was off the hook good. First off, have a reservation. They use the Open Table app. We arrived 15 minutes early and were able to be seated immediately. Our server was amazing. The bourbon old fashioned was spot on. The salad bar was great. So glad to see it back. Hand sanitizer recommended and they regularly wiped it down. Clam chowder and French onion soup. Pickled herring and chocolate pudding. Crackers and cheese spread. All the supper club standards!My wife had the fish fry and I had an expertly prepared ribeye. Medium rare with a side of sautéed shrimp and some mushrooms.I heard good things and it exceeded my expectations. Can't wait to go back.

The extensive salad bar was a dream come true!!I want one just like it in my house So fresh and crunchy but also delicious and exquisite!! Can't wait to have it again!!

Nothing to write home about. Anything deep fried comes out crispy on the outside and wet on the inside, especially with the fish. GROSS. Not impressed with the salad bar, lettuce looks old and who chops up their lettuce with a knife anyway? It looks tacky and bruises the lettuce so it turns brown on the edges.My Mother insists on going here once a year and I drag my feet every time I have to go. Not impressed with anything but the people that serve the good, have always had good waiters and waitresses.

Great Lake views and food. Perch was excellent, almost too much food! Salad bar was extensive and included. Highly recommended.

Ambiance could not be beat as High Shores is located on beautiful Lake Wissota. Our expectations were high for the food. They did have a great salad/soup bar with 50 items on it. I ordered their chicken/rib special. The chicken was small and dry. The ribs were ok for restaurant ribs. My wife got chicken cordon blue. She said it was very good. She ordered their lyonnaise which was hash browns with onions. They were burnt black on the bottom. The service was ok with the waitress checking on our meal a few minutes after serving it but didn't return again until we were done eating. We were disappointed with the food in a place which could have been great.
