Am I missing something here? I don't live in the area. I don't even live in the state. However, I saw a few reviews that captured my attention and I wanted to see for myself. I truly wanted to try the pre-made foods. We walked in and the lights were dimmed. It felt more like I was walking into an art gallery than an Asian grocery store. No one shouting. No funky smells. The produce section was what I walked into first. I was met with 4 green onions, 2 onions, a bag of bean sprouts, and a few fruits but all the produce were all wilted. At least everything else was neatly organized. Then we went to the sauce area, then to the ramen, then to snacks and so forth. All the products were at least 25% or more, higher in price than what's available in the grocers in St. Paul. Yes, you're paying more for the ambiance. Make the drive over to the hundreds of other Asian grocery stores there. I don't even live close and I make the effort to do my big grocery shopping in St. Paul for the price and variety.Anyway, I didn't see any or much SE Asian grocery items that would help me cook my dishes. Most items were catered to East Asian cuisine. Their precooked food area was sad. The pre-cooked rice looked mushy. The breads were dried and flaky. Disappointed to say the least. As an Asian person, I wouldn't frequent the establishment even in desperate times.

I'm grateful Woodbury has an Asian grocery store but I wish it was bigger. This location is very small. I would say maybe a little bigger than a convince store or like the size of a bodega. It did appear that there was variety however when we visited there were many empty shelves and even completely empty sections in the freezer and fridge sections. Would I visit again? Yes, if I needed some veggies or seasoning. But if I was looking for fresh fish, meat or fruit I would head into to St Paul.

I was making ramen from the first time and needed a few specialty ingredients that I haven't used before. I was thrilled to see that there is an Asian grocery in Woodbury and it's just down the road from Costco. So I gassed up with some cheap fuel, bought a vacuum that I probably don't need (Costco, amiright?) and swung into United Noodles with my ramen recipe. The store is immaculate and well organized. The woman working the counter was super helpful and showed me where all my ingredients were located. They have an impressive selection of Asian and Hawaiian brands. I'm looking forward to shopping here more often!

I was visiting family and my deprived young niece and nephew had never had boba ice cream before. I didn't want to drive into St Paul, and that is how I used Google to find the only Asian market in Woodbury.Located just off I 94, this tiny store is easy to miss... especially since the store front and parking faces the highway and you have to drive up from the back of the building.Inside is a treasure chest of Asian goodies. I have a bit of obsession with Japanese conbinis and might have squealed when I saw their Melty chocolates were on sale. They have a small produce and hot food section too. And yes, boba ice cream. Not the brand I buy in California and slightly more expensive, but it did the trick... the kids approved of them. Not sure how business is since they had a lot of stuff marked down due to being on the shelf for a while. I would definitely support them regularly if I lived in town. I also grabbed a few banh mi sandwiches, pork and bbq chicken. I've had better bread but my nephew really liked the chicken one and said it tasted like teriyaki. Their hot food and pastries also get marked down if they are a day old, so you can get some good deals. Stop by and support them!

This United Noodles packs a good amount of specialty items into a small shop. It's much smaller than its MPLS sister store, but features items like: fresh produce, hot grab-and-go snacks and meals, Asian condiments, instant noodles, frozen treats, stoneware... They also carry my favorite brand of kimchi (5000 Years Foods), but sadly they're out of stock 50% of the time I've been. Oh and my favorite chili crisp, Lao Gan Ma, is here too! They are of course lacking in some areas, but that just makes sense due to the size. There is no fresh packaged meat or seafood, but you can find some frozen. And for some reason it smells like an Abercrombie & Fitch in there? Could be worse I suppose...Lastly, they enforced very safe guidelines during COVID, which I appreciated greatly!

This is a lovely smaller version of their Minneapolis site. The Woodbury location is not as busy, nice selection of items barring any supply issues everyone is experiencing right now. January 2022 - Masks are required no matter what your vaccination status which we really appreciate! Very clean, nice music and helpful employees! Thank you for having a location in the east metro area!

Finally went here after a failed quest to get Umeboshi at any of the local asian groceries. Picked up the umeboshi and some miso, did some comparison shopping later, and came back the next day for dashi ingredients and a couple kinds of seaweed. This is the only decent Japanese grocer I've seen in the area ever, and from what I could tell prices are significantly lower than trying to buy the same stuff on Amazon, and Jeff Bezos doesn't need any more of my money anyway. Clean and well-kept like a Japanese grocer should be.

I came here to pick up a few items I needed for a sushi making party that we were hosting. Although no where near as large as their sister site in Minneapolis, this location is a much better alternative to your local Hy Vee or Cub Foods Asian foods aisle. Service was friendly and prices were very reasonable. I would say that if you are looking for a larger selection of fruits, vegetables, fresh meat, or special treats go to the MPLS location but you will be able to find everything else at this location. I also overheard that they can deliver items to the Woodbury store from the MPLS one so if you are in need of a certain item and this location doesn't stock it, they can still get it to you eventually. Nice alternative if I don't feel like making the longer drive into the cities from the burbs.

Very excited to try out their other location. Beautiful it is!! Fresh Produce, large assortment of ingredients. Fun to look around and pickup items for our Pho dinner. It is smaller then their other store, yet it is a gem in itself. Pop in, you won't be disappointed you did. COVID complaint and friendly helpful staff as well.

We love United Noodles as we have been visiting their Mpls location for a number of years. When we heard they would be opening a St Paul location in Woodbury, we were excited to visit. Well our visit did not disappoint. Their location is on the frontage road near Home Furniture. This store is bright and fresh albeit smaller than the original location. Even though this store is smaller, the store is packed with fresh and frozen goods. This day our focus was picking up one of our favorites, Chinese sausage. I could eat a bowl of rice with Chinese sausage 8 days a week! I just love it. This location had several varieties including our favorite brand. The only thing missing from this location is a Unideli. However there is more than enough good stuff packed into this location that you can get pre-cooked items from their freezer area or buy all your Asian groceries and make your own meal. If you're looking for anything Asian, United Noodles is the place.
