Lo mein
Battered chicken
Lo mein, general tso's, egg rolls, lemon chix, veg fried rice, steamed broc. And it was all amazing!
A ton of these come with the sweet and sour
Not sure what but he liked it - I think Buddah's Delight, very few vegetarian options. Good serving sizes
Sweet - very sweet -

Tom Moy's has the kinda aesthetic that says-hey welcome come in and eat our delicious food in a chill/comfy environment. I have not tasted Chinese food this good since moving to Minnesota. The lemon chix is so yummy! I very much like having the sauce on the side so I can control the amounts. I had no idea the portions were so hefty! And a bargain too!! I spent $30 for 4 meals-I love Chinese leftovers. I have heard they have a legit buffet on Sunday's for a very reasonable price. I encourage everyone to come visit this Cottage Grove institution!!!

I didn't heed the warnings in other reviews as I really wanted to try for myself and help support this business venture for the new owners. The food lacked flavor and there was hardly any meat in the beef lo mein I ordered (see pic with almost no meat). It doesn't need to be littered with meat but it's comical to say it's beef lo mein and I joked that I can't even call it vegetable lo mein cause there weren't many onions or much else in it either. Service left something to be desired. From the moment you enter the building, you get a sense that customer service is not their forte. Not that they were rude, they were not. But there's nothing there to draw you back in or feel like you've been welcomed into something special. I wasn't greeted when I entered or at any point but told that they would be right back, and went to the kitchen. The packaging of the food needs more forethought and I implore the owners to do better. I ordered Orange chicken and a sweet and sour chicken dinner plate. I can only assume that the battered chicken labeled "orange chicken" was supposed to be for both meals as they did not do anything to indicate or clearly state if the meat was for both meals or if I was supposed to get a separate container for the dinner meal as one would anticipate - it was just a large container of chicken. This could have been resolved if the owners or whoever was working had the customer service skills to communicate this. A simple sentence and conversation to explain their packaging would have been a nice minimum but it seems they don't want to talk to customers. Not only that but they decided to pack the bright red and bright orange sauces in those white take out boxes that are clearly not for liquids. Imagine a quart full of orange, liquid goo going all over because they didn't tell you that they decided to pack a huge container of said liquid in a non-liquid container. The fact that they don't see that as a problem says a lot about how much they know or care about running a restaurant. I don't think I'd ever want to return even if I was desperate. I hope that they can work on their customer service skills and rethink their food packaging.

New ownership and food quality is not the same. Fried rice is broken down rice barely any meat, no flavor. Cream cheese wonton barely has any cream cheese. Chicken has no flavor. Now i have travel further to find decent Chinese food.

Used to be good and consistent. Now they must not care. Quarts are no longer full, they don't include white rice if you order specialty rice? i only came here again to give you yet another chance as you were my go to instead of ho king, but now the roles have reversed.

I ordered 6 different entrees and unfortunately all lacking flavor. Nothing resembling close to Chinese taste, not even sure basic soy sauce used as ingredient. Overpriced too, cheaper to just order dominos.

We know it's under new ownership but thought they kept the same cook. When picking up food it was not clean. The food was nothing like it used to be - the egg rolls were all cabbage and hardly any flavor. The rice looked like it was all broken down and maybe some soy sauce in it but also no flavor. So disappointing. Was hoping it would stay as good as it was when ownership changed.

Take out only, no dining room. Food was ok nothing to write home about. Oyster wings were the best thing we ordered. Sesame chicken came with friend chicken and sauce in a separate container. Lo mein was plain.

Orders extremely small in size. Priced way to high for the portion size. Two orders of chicken chow mein was if I were to guess only 1 1/2 cups not worth it. Noodles if your lucky maybe enough for one order. Chicken lo mein mostly noodles vegetables scarce as well as chicken.

I grew up with this restaurant and is the first place I visit when I make a trip to the area. Service is always great and so is the food. Inside seating is currently closed. Take out only.
