Hubby & I love AYCE (All You Can Eat) sushi so we wanted to try this place based on a recommendation from friends (they do have a regular menu if you would prefer to order items individually or a meal). We came here for lunch on a Saturday but it wasn't too busy (the weather was cold & windy). The server was efficient & friendly. He didn't miss anything we ordered or forget about us. The restaurant was clean and they were prompt to clean tables after other patrons were finished with their meal. We ordered quite a variety as this was our first time here & we wanted to try as many different dishes as possible. Please refer to our pictures for what we ordered and would definitely order again.

First time here for all you can eat sushi. Extensive menu and there literally is something for everyone. I started with the avocado salad and gyoza dumplings. Avocados were perfectly ripe and the dumplings were so tasty. The sushi pizza was crispy on the outside and tender and tasty on the inside. All of the food I ordered was made fresh and delish. Staff is super nice. It's a bit noisy but the quality of food cancels the noise out. Def recommend this place!

Good - 4 stars!Tokyo Sushi, Maplewood...the latest stop in my on-going mission to eat at every sushi joint in the Twin Cities! My first and general impression...the Maplewood location is miles better than the Brooklyn Park location. It's like night & day. I was very impressed. Tokyo Sushi is a small local chain. They aren't a snobby Chef Ramsey type of place. But for what they are, they do an excellent job.DECOR & GENERAL: Tokyo is a big place. The ambiance is pretty decent. It isn't a fancy place. The first thing I noticed was that they were PACKED with customers! I stopped by on a late afternoon and people were waiting for tables. Busy, busy, busy. That's a good sign. People obviously like Tokyo Sushi.CUSTOMER SERVICE: As expected, the customer service was impeccable, friendly and efficient. My sushi rolls came out freaky fast. They actually came out about 1 minute after my onion soup. That's a personal record for me. Impressive!FOOD: I went with some onion soup and my usual tuna based sushi rolls. I ordered off the regular menu instead of the all-you-can-eat menu. My server seemed surprised by this. She said the selections are the same but the rolls would be larger from the regular menu. So that's what I did. She wasn't kidding. The rolls were noticeably bigger, they came out with lightning speed, and the flavors were wonderful. Awesome!MANAGEMENT: It's obvious that the management knows what they're doing. This place is run with military type efficiency. While eating my sushi, I watched in amazement while a small army of staff were sprinting around doing their jobs. It was amazing. I haven't seen anything like it. I also had a wonderful conversation with the manager. He was very, very friendly and he took a fair amount of time chatting with me. He also helped me with my pitiful Mandarin. Nice guy.Thumbs up! I'd go back again any time.-Maxx

I'd say this is lower tier all you can eat sushi, but I have found some good staples that I like after a few tries. The beef fried rice with yum yum sauce is definitely one of those staples. The special rolls on the lunch menu are really limited and honestly they're not my favorite. I tend to go for the basic rolls, nigiri, appetizers and hibachi at lunch time. The service is very impersonal and down to business, but that's not what you're there for..

Ordered Service via Door Dash. Had the Seafood Teppanyaki (consisted of baby scallops and popcorn shrimp ) with Fried Rice. Great flavor, good amount of seafood and rice for the price as well. Excited to try more entrees from Tokyo Sushi.

Good Sushi option! Nothing crazy but scratches the itch when you're feeling sushi. We had some basic rolls and also some of their specialty rolls. The dumplings were pretty good as well.

Visiting from out of town and found this place on Yelp! We did the all you can eat sushi for $18. The avocado salad and miso soup was a great starter. My favorite sushi was the sushi pizza. It was rolled and deep fried to perfection. I couldn't get enough of the crunch and sauce. The mango avocado roll and out of control roll were my favorite. We also finished with mango ice cream. This place is my new go to place when visiting

Ok honestly I was a little skeptical about an all you can eat sushi restaurant in Minnesota. I have to say I was quite surprised by how good it was. I was also taken back that sashimi was included with the AYCE. The quality of the fish was quite exceptional! Everything from the appetizers to the main dishes were fantastic and I'm quite picky about sushi!
