Was in Minnesota for business and stopped in due to all the positive reviews. So glad we did. Had the short rib grilled cheese and my friend had the sassy steak sandwich. Wow wow wow, both were amazing! Highly recommend if you're a local or just passing through. The people were very friendly and the place was clean. Can't ask for a better place. Btw. We were the first to try the strawberry shortcake shake. Perfect way to finish an amazing meal.

First great service from an attentive working-manager. We had 2 NA specialty drinks that were fun and yummy. One of the drinks had floating glitter- I was mesmerized by the glitter curling and forming storm patterns within my glass.The red velvet shake was over the top- it's a full on dessert and worth the fee.Parents will like tha fact that this place has a kids menuThe baked avocados with crab fillings were fun. I stopped here to eat dinner on my trip to Minneapolis. A friend of mine and I shared the Gouda Fondue. It had several accompaniments with it. We really enjoyed the steak, the tomatoes, and the pretzel bites. The apples were good, but a little unusual. It was nice to have a little bit of sweet with all of the savory. The Gouda was excellent! We also shared the chicken Rojo avocado tacos. They were very juicy, but the tortilla held up! There was plenty of food for both of us. We ordered at the counter and were served quickly. After eating our dinner, we ventured outside for some ice cream. It was a very nice experience and priced right.

Anywhere I can find a decent huevos rancheros I am a happy girl. Let's see how it's made here!Pineapple heatwave was my drink. We stopped off the light rail on our way to a Twins Game. Happy hour is Monday -Friday 4pm-6pm. $5 drafts!! And Mondays are buy one burger get one 50%. I had the lil spicy which wasn't that spicy but the Brie was amazing! Lil spicy had two patties which I would have preferred one because of the excess grease but the overall burger was delicious. Bayou burger was very good!!! The better one out of the two. Outdoor seating is nice and service was fast. A great light rail stop!

This newish location of the Tipsy Steer occupies the same place as (if you are old enough to remember) Caps. Based upon my observation the place is ultra casual and family friendly. There is also outside dining whenever the weather is cooperative.The staff were welcoming and enthusiastic. The food was well prepared and promptly delivered.Anyway the interior looks very similar with a few "Tipsy" touches. To repeat, the drill is that you order from the counter (fronting the kitchen) and then one gets a table where your food and beverages are subsequently delivered.I had a very satisfying Bacon Cheeseburger with a heap of very good fries on the side. I also had a flavorful lemonade which was likely hand crafted as was indicated by the delay in delivery well after raspberry iced teas had been brought to the table.I thought the burger had an appealing beefiness and the two patties made it huge. The buttered bun was toasted and a fine accompaniment to the burger. The fries were thickly cut, non-greasy and nicely seasoned.My two friends had the basic cheese burger (also with fries) which they both liked a lot.The menu has been greatly expanded since the Cap's days and appeared to offer numerous tasty items.A parking lot is between this location and a light rail station. If the parking lot is full there is ample free on-street parking. I for one will likely be back.

The food was very delicious and the bayou burger is sooo flavorful. The milkshake is super good but very sweet! The fries are good, not bad. Also the macho was delicious and the onion rings are super big. The other two sandwiches were yummy and tasty. The place is nice and vibing. The service was super nice and helpful. Definitely want to try out the brunch menu next time!

My second visit to Tipsy Steer on Minnehaha Avenue. The first trip was a quick trip by myself, staff and food were both great and I decided to bring my wife and adult son after a good day at the Ice Maze in Eagan. I would not come here for the ambiance, it is good, but not great. The food and friendly staff more then make up for it. We had the Shrimp Po Boy, Mac and Cheese with Shrimp and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese all were above expectations. We started with the Pimento Fried Cheese Balls which were excellent. While the food was excellent, the shakes and Root Beer Float were stars. Prices were reasonable and service was quick and efficient. The ordering app made things very easy.
