We absolutely love this restaurant. While it's not fun to have appointments in Rochester, we now look forward to our little treat when we do have to go. The staff always seem to actually enjoy their customers and their interactions prove it. Our food is always hot, fresh, and made to order. Asking for something extra isn't greeted with sighs, comments, or facial expressions. For an overall great dining experience, I definitely recommend and can't wait until next month to get our fix!

Reminds me of POP's Philly in Vegas and I loved that. This place has a LARGE variety of food however. Service was great people friendly.food was delicious and LARGE portion. Should have ordered the 6" and small fries, we got large fries for 3 and too many. They were good too!

Best Philly Steak sandwich in town. It's clear customer service is a top priority as I have never had a bad experience. I won't go anywhere else when the craving for a Philly steak strikes!

Was a patient at Mayo and had some free time. I read the reviews of Tinn's and decided that would be my move. I walked in they were serving two customers ahead of me. By the time I ordered, one had received their food so I was able to sit at the ledge and watch them make my food. One thing to note when you walk in, walk all the way in and to the counter to the right of the grill so you can order. I ordered the OG Philly six inch with extra chipotle mayo. I found it really filling and loved the crispness of the onions and peppers despite having been grilled. It shows how fresh the ingredients were. I was able to chat with my fellow patron, a local resident who had been waiting to return when they reopened and even made a separate trip because when she first tried, they were restocking. She was so excited about the food so it was contagious. I also saw several people come in and out from the hospital or around to pick up food. Staff was also really nice and service was quick. They have three tables outside but the sun was shining directly on them so unfortunately I had to go back to the hospital to consume my food but I'm glad I was able to try this place out.

I have been living in Rochester MN for 3 weeks and noticed a disproportionally large number of cheesesteak joints in town and so figured it must be a big thing here. Our apartment manager, who born and raised in town, swears Tinn's is the BEST and kept asking if I have tried it yet. I told him when I lived in Baltimore for 7 years, I often visited Philadelphia and tried most of the famous cheesesteak places there, including Pat's, Geno's, Jim's West, Max's, Steve's and Dalessandro's. The manager said he waited for Tinn's to re-open for years (apparently, it was once closed its doors and recently came back) and insisted I needed to try. And so, I went there today and got pretty satisfied and impressed. I was greeted with the friendly owner LeRoy and the head chef Bounlot, who used to work at the original Tinn's. They told me "Chipotle Philly (Steak, onion, mushrooms, jalapeños, Tinn's chipotle mayo, steak seasoning, provolone cheese)" is the best seller and so I tried that with "Tinn's Philly (Steak, onion, mushrooms, banana peppers, steak seasoning, provolone cheese)". BUT I also needed to try their burger and Bounlot suggested I should try his special recipe and so I also ordered that (Angus Burger Patties, steak seasoning, onions, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, cheese on toasted bun). Bounlot is a Lao, born in Thailand but grew up in Minnesota, and while his cheesesteaks are quite not like in Philly, he added a special magical Lao + Mid-West American touch to make them uniquely delicious. He also gave me sample meats, sweet grilled beef and 7-spice seasoned pork BBQ for bahn mi sandwich. Again, bahn mi is Vietnamese style sandwiches, but he again added his own unique Lao-inspired flavor and made it quite exquisite! I also tried their fresh cut fries which were well-seasoned and cruchy = excellent! So I will soon go back there to try bahn mi and other goodies!! LeRoy told me they are planning to open adjacent space as "Tinnfusion" to feature Bounlot's Viet/Lao creations, such as Pho noodles with sugar as seasoning! Looking forward to that!

Wow the family ie crew are doing the man proud! Not only was the food amazing , it was wildly entertaining from lining up on the street between meal times. The whole process & sense of community & inclusiveness was enlightening. Incredible how well orchestrated and executed it was. We were only there about 45 mins , but hundreds of subs were made and in real time as you go through the line watching them make your sandwich right before your eyes!! Impressive. We foodies ,pretty critical and not easy to impress with generations of Restaurant life ourselves. Enjoy , I think we had the Hawaiian? As fav. But all three were awesome & love the fresh baked French bread!
