Tim and Tom's Speedy Market

It has been a while since reviewing so let me reiterate my love for this place.I grew up in Como and have gone here my whole life. I knew it was a special trip when my dad went to speedy market for something. The store is small, but it is so rich and diverse in product. I've always liked just going up and down the isles to see products you can't find anywhere else. Pricier in some areas but I am willing to pay for quality, especially at a friendly family-owned business :)Both of my siblings ended up working at Speedy as well, my brother in particular found his footing here, and was treated extremely well. I'm convinced this job grew him into the person he is. Now that I don't live in the area anymore, going to speedy is even more of an adventure and a treat! Thank you Tim&Toms for making this a family experience for us!

In the old days this would be known as the corner store. It's been on my radar for years. Fool me, for how long I put this off. A conversation with chiropractor, Dr. Skon finally got me here. It was how I needed to get brats for my re-engaged carnivore diet. They have everything. The first thing I see is a card rack and I needed a birthday card. On the left are the homemade salads. I was seduced by the coleslaw cause it had purple cabbage in it and was super shredded. In the back is the meat and the staff welcomed me when I told them it was my first time. The fresh brats were explained in detail. They also sent me to the freezer section which has even more variety. It's considered pricy and nobody cares. I sure don't, I'm not buying generic type meat, for flavor or health purposes. Cashier, Willow was awesome. I asked about the coleslaw and was told the regulars love it. It's true it was delicious. Carnivore turned keto today. I signed up for member points as well. Pure Pride.

Paleo, low sugar, no sugar, gluten free... they even had apple flour! This unassuming little neighborhood gem is out of this world. Amazing meat counter, tons of specialty foods for special dietary foodie needs. They've truly nailed what the neighborhood is looking for in a quick corner grocery store.

I love this little boutique of deli, food, pantry, and other convenient sundries. I stop there every time I am through the area. They have a great meat selection (sausage in particular) and a refrigerator case filled with diverse craft sodas. This place fulfills a lot of my "wants" as well as a few of my needs.I've shopped this Speedy Market since the mid 1980s or so, and it's now definitely the best it's ever been.

I love this store. It looks like a convenience store from the outside, but it is actually a small grocer.It's not in my neighborhood so I've only been a few times, but my good friend lives nearby and it's so convenient when we need extra OJ for our brunch-time mimosas or meat for grilling, whatever. They actually have wonderful fruits and veggies (displayed outside in the summer) and a nice meat department too.Though the dry goods might be a little pricier than Cub, it's surprisingly affordable. And more importantly, it's actually pleasant to shop here, and that's priceless to me.

You can't beat Tim & Toms! Great meat, amazing diverse selection of frozen meats (goat, lamb, oxtail), great cheese selection, and they are always kind.

We go there frequently as it's just across the street. But have gone there when we've lived in other parts of this neighborhood. Staff have always been friendly, helpful and will order in items if they don't have what you need.

Really nice staff and selection. I always bring home a few things from their coolers and deli - I recommend you do the same! I have no idea what the last review's writer was talking about and I doubt they do either. Not at all accurate for the many and frequent visits I've made there.

Horrible place - rancid meat - overpriced (40% higher than not a prices) combined with horrible customer service - they talk down and tell at customers. This place has gone down hill since the new manager. Have filed a complaint with the health department.
