Our must-stop-spot at food truck festivals is Tiki Tim's. We love their Caribbean/Hawaiian flare, and have been craving their tacos since we saw them in January at Omni Brewing in Maple Grove. Pictured - Chicken Tacos: this is where the spice is found. If you are weak when it comes to spice, have a beverage ready Pork Tacos: savory meets sweet with a hint of pineapple. Cuban Quesadilla: a unique play on the traditional Cuban sandwich. Although we love their tacos, it is not the only food they serve. They rotate their menu, but there are crab cakes, sandwiches, and other tacos! Keep an eye out for their food truck or check out their website for their list of events. You won't be disappointed.

A relative newcomer to the food truck scene, I can see Tiki Tim's making a name for themselves in what has become a pretty big sea of mobile dining options. As evidenced by the name, Tiki Tim's focuses mainly on island inspired cuisine (save for the fried pickles). Their menu is fairly modest in size, comprised of Tiki (shrimp and crab) cakes, fish tacos, a Hawaiian influenced pulled pork sandwich and a smattering of side dishes. While the choices are limited, they've all been quite good. The fish tacos are the highlight for me, with generous pieces of crispy and not-too-greasy fish, but you really can't wrong with anything (bring a knife and fork for the pork sandwich). The converted big blue Chevy is easy to spot on the streets, the service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Given that we're about as far from the coasts as possible and a long haul from Hawaii, it's nice to see someone aspiring to bring the tropical mindset to the streets of the Twin Cities.

Located in beautiful Mears park this food truck has some serious flavor. The owners of the truck were there the day I stop by and they are really friendly. I tried the fish taco and the barbecue taco. Both were amazing. The sauce on the fish taco has a great kick to it. These go perfect with a beer. If you are looking for a great taco this summer you definitely need to stop by this truck. Best food truck I have ever had a taco on in Minnesota!

I am a sucker for anything with the word "tiki" in it, and luckily for me, Tiki Tim's did not disappoint. Great food and great service. Also, the little girl assistant was tons of adorable. Since I do not work in either downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul and thus never really get the opportunity to indulge in the numerous food truck options available, I always jump at the chance to check one out whenever the manfriend and I are at Hammerheart Brewery on a Friday or Saturday. This time, it was Tiki Tim's. I heard their crabcakes are INSANELY good, which they must be since they were sold out. Bummer, next time! So, option two: the fish tacos. Major win points: + the fish is fried to order! No greasy, sad, cold fried fish here!+ the fish was crispy and tender, the fried batter was golden and gloriously seasoned without being overly greasy+ the textures and flavors were amazing! Crispy, crunchy, savory, and tender with a nice spicy/zesty kick from their homemade sauce. I could easily eat those tacos daily. The tomatoes, cabbage, cilantro and a little lime were all the garnishes the taco needed. Seriously, this might be the perfect fish taco. I will definitely be getting food from Tiki Tim's again, hopefully this time I'll be able to get one of their tiki crab cakes before they're all gone!

The fish tacos were great. I upped my order to 3 instead of the regular 2, so I paid somewhere around $12 for some of the best fish tacos I've ever had. My only complaint was that they really didn't have any options for sides when I visited. I would've liked to see a fresh quinoa, orzo, or similar salad offered but I think they just had chips and beverages. Overall great tacos, would love to visit again.

I love food trucks, I am lovingly referred to by friends as the "Food truck tramp" as I switch favorites all the time. My new favorite you ask? TIKI TIM'S!!This place is legit! I don't even like fish tacos, but everyone kept telling me how I had to try their fish tacos...I have been converted. I am pretty sure that the noises coming from me as I inhaled my first fish taco from this little blue truck were pornographic. Luckily for me, my friends liked them just as much. If Tim weren't married, I would propose...but instead, I will just stalk this truck and eat all the tacos I can before food truck season is done. Well done Tiki Tim's!

I headed to downtown St. Paul today to try and find a new food truck to try, and I found a NEW food truck. I haven't gotten the whole "First to Review" ribbon in a long time, so way to go me. Tiki Tim's is a bright blue truck that serves a pretty simple menu of Fish Tacos, Tiki Cakes, Kalua Pork and a potato mac salad. By the time I got there today they were out of Tiki Cakes, so I had fish tacos. They were really excellent. The fish was fried, but not greasy. I loved them. I can't wait to get back any try the tiki cakes.

Got to try their fish taco at the Uptown Food Truck Festival and it was amazing! Should have gotten two! Instead I only got one and went on to taste test a number of different tacos at other trucks. At the end of the festival, I knew for sure that Tiki Tim's beat the others. Theirs was light and not overly covered in sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly and there was a good balance of the other ingredients in the taco. Delicious!

We booked Tiki Tim's for our wedding in September of 2018 and could not have been more pleased with the food, service and communication we received. Shannon was always quick to respond to my questions and would give me the detail that I needed to feel like I was prepared for the day. We also received a complimentary tasting of the menu when we expressed interest in booking them for the wedding (this was something that was NOT offered by any other food truck we contacted), so we had a good idea of which menu items we wanted to offer to our guests at our wedding. We put down the deposit for the truck to book the day, but they told me that we would only need to pay the total number of meals that they actually served after the wedding was done. They didn't interrupt the reception to collect payment from me, and instead sent me a Square invoice the next day. People raved about the food after the wedding and as I mentioned above, I could not have been more happy with them. I would gladly go out of my way to give them my business in the future as well. Also... the fish tacos are bomb af. I still have dreams about them.
