Really great space, full of light and historic charm.I was recently at the Womans club for a wedding and I could not have thought of a more perfect place. High ceilings, wood, metal and ornate decorations carved and inset everywhere.Right in the heart of the cities with the feel of an estate mansion of old. The staff is great and there is free parking on site for events. Fast wifi, nice restrooms.Great food and fully stocked bar.

Not too many people know that their Sunday brunch is open to the public. I had always shied away from this place thinking that you had to be a member, but that certainly isn't the case. I sent a quick email to reserve a table for my party and it was as simple as that! Both the variety and quality of the food were top of the line. They had an array of salads, and hot items such as eggs Benedict, baked chicken, and mashed potatoes. They even have a carving station and dessert bar. All their food is made fresh in house. Additionally, it's a wonderful venue with great views of Loring Park and downtown Minneapolis (don't forget to go upstairs to the balcony to take in the breathtaking views).

I saw a comedy show, hosted by Acme, at The Women's Club of Minneapolis last night. The show was awesome! Two women, Corinne and Krystyna, who have a podcast called Sorry about Last Night. Hilarious! I loved the way they engaged the crowd. Probably the most fun I've had at a comedy show ever. The venue, meh. The theater was in the lowest level of the building. The comedienne's had referenced more than once that there were 600 people at this show. 600 people walking down stairwells to our seats was kind of annoying. Getting out was worse. The restroom had 3 stalls. The bar was on the main floor - so made going to get drinks really difficult. And after about an hour, my butt was killing me from the springs in the seat. Parking around Loring Park is tricky. I parked at the pay lot across the park next to Lurcat. It worked out well because it was such a lovely night, but I don't think I would be as excited about it if I had to walk it in Winter or rain. The staff were nice and the building itself was pretty and historic looking. Because I had such a great time, I wasn't too hung up on the venue shortfalls. Nothing about the place would keep me from going to another show there.

We came here for the recent Jazz night open to the public. We've never been to a woman's club before, so were worried only women were allowed into the place, but it turned out men could attend the events too.For non-members entry, it was $5, very affordable! There are several tables in the main room as well as couches for lounging. The place has a charming and elegant french country home feel to it!The service was absolutely first-rate, our waitress was very kind, friendly and attentive. With all the spotty or crappy service that many of the restaurants in Minneapolis typically provide, it's such a rare pleasure to spend an evening out where the service is actually on point! The Woman's Club food menu has basic staples such as salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, all priced average around $8-$12 or so. We shared the Woman's Club burger with fries. It was O.K., an average burger, not amazing but not bad either. I wouldn't come here seeking out gourmet style food, but for an event, the food is decent enough. We really enjoyed the Jazz night and hope the Woman's Club will hold more Jazz events in the future. It's really the perfect place for Jazz with it's beautiful high ceiling providing an airy and open fresh atmosphere. Jazz crowds are always great, classy, well-mannered and sophisticated audience. We're looking forward to returning!

I had the most exquisite dinner at The Woman's Club last night. I was there for a business dinner in a private room (I'm told the pricing was very reasonable) that had a beautiful view overlooking the lake. The room had ornate woodwork and a fireplace. The atmosphere was very classic. My dinner was sea bass on corn risotto with pistachios and fresh snap peas. As I was eating my dinner the word exquisite kept repeating in my head like a mantra. Everyone at the table was remarking on how good their food was, too. I didn't think there could be anything special about shrimp fried rice, but I've got to say it looked impressive from across the table! A few of us at the table ordered the almond cake with strawberry sauce for dessert and it also was beyond expectations. Also, a plus for the parking lot. I am knocking off a star for mediocre service and scarcity on the bread. Service: It didn't seem like the waitstaff was trained in service... they didn't seem to know when to pull dirty dishes away, the food came in and they didn't know who had ordered what, coffee took over 30 minutes to arrive and I had to ask for it multiple times, thought that we had ordered desserts when we hadn't yet, etc.Bread: We received one small basket of bread for a group of 7 and it took a while to get a refill after asked- but the bread itself was fresh baked and warm served with spreadable temperature butter.

Came here for a show, so this is a review of the theater. To start with they have an issue with parking. It is a moderately sized theater space, so expect a good amount of people for events. The problem is that the road outside is narrow and quite busy, and there is no dedicated lot for the theater parking. We had to sneak out of our show early to beat the rush of cars. There is a charm to older theaters, but that assumes the older theater is being kept up. I'm all about preserving history, but part of that implies preservation. The theater at the Women's Club didn't show any major signs up upkeep. It all seemed kind of dingy and dirty. After navigating a complexity of stairs we finally found our way down to the theater. Again, not a great setup for how many people can probably fit in this theater. Very small cramped stairwells that would be a major pain to deal with when everyone is heading down or back out. It was also confusing trying to figure out where to go. Here is where my big issue comes in. I'm not great at reading maps, but I've learned from my mistakes. I picked tickets that were center right, meaning in the middle, but the right side of the middle. The seats did not look like they were in the nosebleed section either (no indication of balcony that I saw). Well we kept going up and up till we finally fund our seats. Turns out they were in the farthest right corner of the theater next to a vent. We were stuck between a pole and a vent, and the seats were not comfy. The vent was also blasting AC at full capacity, despite being dead of winter in MN. Here is where they get a star back. The security staff here was AMAZING! The couple that got seated next to us also seemed very confused by the seating (especially when another couple came and claimed those seats). The security guard saw our collective suffering (terrible seats, blasting AC, very clearly not what we paid for) and he tried to make things better. He brought us down and tried to talk to someone about changing our seats given that it wasn't center at all. Sadly no luck.I ran off to the bathroom and found that we had been moved. I was excited! Only we had been moved to identical seats on the left side of the theater. Why? Well, another couple had been given our seats when the purchased their tickets. Turns out there was no such thing as center once you got to a certain point. Way to go...The show was great, but the space was horrid. I would not go back unless it was something really, REALLY special. 5/100

My cousin and his wife belong to the Woman's Club. So while in town they wanted to meet up there for lunch. IT was funny as Gus was so surprised that the building of the Woman's Club is right next to where he lived many years ago and he never realized what this building is. Speaking of the building, it is a pip. Nice old fashioned class all the way. Great views from the back and nice rooms for gatherings. The lunch was buffet style and quite good. Very polite folks serving and seating. A great place to enjoy your family over lunch.

I went to this venue to see a comedian. The theatre is smaller than I thought, and the seats are not the most comfortable, especially if you are tall or a bigger person. I was on the end so I was fine, but had I needed to sit in the middle of a row I would have been super uncomfortable. The sound was great, I loved the intimate space.

Had a lousy experience with Women's Club in Minneapolis. Their events coordinator (Bailey) never got back to us regarding an event that we were very excited to hold at the Women's Club. Bailey allowed weeks to pass before getting back to our team, and only followed up with one of us when we complained to the Director of Operations there. Bailey also got most if not all of our intake information wrong, and then gave us a heightened quote of the rental fee, along with an outstanding available date of Nov., when infact we were onboard to book something for the month of Aug.! (2024). On top of everything, our team's director is struggling with a chronic illness, and it was literally one of her last of life's greatest wishes to hold her event at the Women's Club. Bailey showed a significant lack of communication and overall lack of interest in our party's event. I would strongly warn others to look elsewhere for your event.
