The Wolf's Den

Welcoming place. Bartender and waitress were more than busy but very friendly. Wide variety of drinks. We were too late for the 32oz. buckets. Pretty large selection of beers too!As for the food, not a single complaint. Walleye fingers were not your typical Sysco fried items. They were really good. We had a party of 7 so we pretty much tried alittle of everything. Burgers, wraps, salads and other things. We were there for taco night and we like to call it "White people taco night". Wife loved them! Highly recommend Overall, great night. Everyone loved it!

Fantastic food. Fun drinks. We had multiple meals at the Wolfs Den from breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals were hearty and delicious. Too many different dishes to list but all were really good.

Joined our family for lunch here over the holiday. I accidentally read the steak sandwich as steak sandwich which is shredded beef. Once it arrived boy was I surprised. I sent it back as it was pink and bloody. It returned and I picked at it and later shared with my family that it was terrible quality and a meat that I would feed our beloved dog. I paid for the onion rings and received five (not sure that was worth it). Our daughters chili tasted burnt and out of a can (what a bummer, great opportunity to have amazing chili in town). My partners wings, were nothing to brag about With many places in town that have "bar" food not sure this will be one that we return to.

My wife and I stayed at the great northern motel for the weekend during a wedding. This is great! We order the chicken wings in the sweet chili. Also I had a Ruben sandwich. Their fries are also very good. Definitely recommend if you in the mood for some yummy comfort foot. Flavors were spot on as well.

Best bar food in the north woods!! Friendly staff and great service. Everything I've had has been very good.

Burnt chicken tenders, burnt fried pickles, well done burger (supposed to be medium), walk past the kitchen on our way out, cook has his feet up on the frier playing on his phone. Thankfully the waitress who's been there for a very long time, was pleasant. Think it'll be a while before we try this out again. When I drop $100.00 for a meal, I expect a little more than that. Our waitress was tipped well as always.

This place is a hidden gem to non locals. Food is always good. Great bfast especially.The servers are so welcoming and show initiative all the time. A pleasure.

Service was great! The food however was pretty bad...I ordered a simple wrap and the lettuce had expired long ago. Please be sure to keep your food fresh.

Stayed in the hotel,and tried to eat 3 meals here.1st was breakfast. Polish sausage & eggs. After waiting close to an hour,before they figured out that my order didn't go through, I got 2 unappetizing pieces of sausage. Boiled?steamed?!? No browning on it at all. Next morning,got bacon and eggs w/hash browns. Came out quickly,but bacon was under done.Not crisp as ordered. Whatever! That night I ordered 2 pan fried walleye dinners to go. After waiting close to an hour AGAIN, I turned to look into the kitchen,and saw the chef use 2 fingers to tear open something wrapped in plastic that I assumed was walleye.As it steamed,He put it into a to go box and stacked it on top of another that was there.If that was supposed to be "pan fried", I'm glad I got up a walked out without paying for the beers I drank while waiting!

Stopped in for a drink for my birthday and was disgusted by the amount of people walking around heavily intoxicated with no shoes on. I was informed that the owner was one that had no shoes on in the men's bathroom and the floor was covered in urine. The owner pressured his patrons to drink alcohol out of his softball trophy during the Covid 19 pandemic and if you refused he yelled at you and you called you derogatory names. The owner wife as we were told was belligerent and also verbally accosted my friend as well. I would avoid this as a stop.
