The Tavern Grill was an absolutely fantastic dining experience from start to finish! We made our reservations online, which was convenient, though a little confusing when we arrived. However, the staff quickly sorted things out, and we were ushered to our table in no time at all, ready to dive into what promised to be a delightful evening. To kick off our meal, we ordered the bang bang shrimp, and let me tell you, it was extraordinary! The shrimp boasted a perfect balance of sweetness and heat that danced on my palate. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavor--crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The only downside was the rice that accompanied it; unfortunately, it had some tough chunks that felt harder than volcanic rocks! But honestly, we weren't too bothered by it since our focus was on the shrimp, which was the star of the appetizer. As my main course, I had the pleasure of ordering a burger, and it was nothing short of perfection. It was cooked absolutely to my liking, juicy and flavorful, with all the toppings I could have hoped for. Every bite was deliciously satisfying, paired beautifully with crispy fries that were the ideal sidekick. We also indulged in a pizza that was brilliantly crafted. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were fresh and bursting with flavor. It was a wonderful addition to our meal, and we found ourselves savoring every last slice. Our server truly enhanced the experience with her exceptional service. She was informative and enthusiastic, giving us the rundown of the menu and making spot-on recommendations that made our selections even better. Her attentive nature meant our drinks were always full, and she kept the atmosphere lively with engaging conversation. It felt like we had our own personal cheerleader for the night!Plus, the restaurant itself made a great impression--there was plenty of parking available, making it easy to get in and out. The bathrooms were immaculate, which is always a nice touch and speaks volumes about the establishment's attention to detail.Overall, The Tavern Grill is a gem that I can't wait to revisit. Great food, wonderful service, and a welcoming atmosphere made it a night to remember!

The Tavern Grill was great for breakfast this past weekend. The breakfast platter was delicious! The service was quick, even though they were plenty busy. Super cute place!

Had the Spicy Ginger Seared Tuna. Wild Caught Yellow fin tuna pan seared rare with jasmine rice, spicy sesame sauce & Asian slaw with pineapple and avocado added. Fresh dish full of flavor, and the right amount of spice. The Tavern Grill has a pretty big menu to accommodate different taste buds so for a party, there's something on the menu for everyone. Customer Service treated us great, kept our drinks full. Love the vibe of the place too, an upscale pub with a nice size patio as well. Click the Helpful button , follow me for more reviews, and comment where I should go next.

We love coming to The Tavern Grill. Their ranch is absolute perfection. Always good service, as well. Tonight we tried the S'mores Brownie and it was so good! The brownie itself was pretty tiny but it was a big scoop of ice cream. So good!

I'm a regular at the Tavern on France in Edina location, so when I found myself in the area on a sunny Friday afternoon, I decided to stop in to check it out! This location is hugeee and has a really nice relaxing patio and outdoor bar area. We opted to share a salad and the famous bang bang shrimp. It was a perfect portion to split between 2 hungry people for a lunch. The food was great as always and I enjoyed the spacious patio. The only thing somewhat lacking was the service. It was fine... but not great. There was no one greeting at the door and we stood around for a few minutes before anyone noticed us at the door. We asked if there was space for 2 outside and were met with an unconfident mmmm let me check. I'm sorry but there's like 20 open tables and it's the middle of lunch.. it seemed strange to me that their welcome staff seemed very uncoordinated. It was like they weren't sure who was supposed to show us to our table. It also took a while to be greeted at our table and get waters. And then another 10 minutes to even be asked what we might want for lunch. By that point I thought we had already ordered I almost forgot! The server was also pretty pushy trying to upsell on adding ingredients to every dish which came off tacky. Even after we said we just wanted water he tried to get us to get a different drink. A bit pushy for my taste. Again, it was okay.. but with the amount of staff at this location, the service seemed lacking. I've also never seen servers come out with food for tables in one hand and 2 boxes togo for other tables. It just seemed entirely uncoordinated, awkward and unfocused. The whole experience could have been much more seamless and welcoming.

The service was great but the food was below average. Had a French Dip with flavorless and very chewy roast beef. It's a shame when you're dealt with by wonderful staff and the food can't back up they're work.

My partner and I are big fans of this place when we're looking for American food and good drinks.I think I'm had almost all their apps before and enjoyed them. The cheese curds here aren't like the state fair ones (which ofcourse are the best) but they're still good- just not big fans of the sauce it comes with. What makes this place special for me is that they have BYO pizza, salad or burger. The prices are a bit higher than your average bar but the taste and quality is better. They also have happy hour. The space is huge and also has a big patio!Main reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that some dishes are more flavorful than others. The service here is very friendly and kind.

We like this establishment. They have a nice patio that is on the correct side of the building. I prefer sitting in the shade vs. sitting in the sun and sweating. They also have a nice set up so you are able to sit on the patio side of the bar. We visited during happy hour on a Friday. Nice selections from the appetizers and decent beverage discounts. The cocktails were well made and very good. I had a bowl of the clam chowder and the chicken sliders. The soup was very good, plenty of clams (too often you get clam chowder and get 1-2 chunks of meat). The sliders were much better than I expected. Added the avocado which was a nice addition. They serve 4 sliders which was more than I needed but I ate them! My wife had the fish tacos and they too were very good. 3 tacos with rice on the side. The bartenders were fantastic. Working very well together and working very hard the whole time. Special recognition to the front desk staff. Very friendly and attentive. On the whole a very good experience. We like this Tavern restaurant a lot.

The food was very average. I feel like we could have made better food at home. The drink I got was way too sweet. Over all I would give this place again but wouldn't order these items again. The space was nice. I would try to patio in the summer

Tavern on Grand is one of my spots when visitors are in town. I take pride in our MN lakes and there is no better fish to eat out of those lakes than walleye. I don't know how the other food is because I only eat the walleye when I'm there. But the walleye options are plentiful and delicious. Bonus points for their delicious chicken wild rice soup.
