The Plus

There are really two reviews to write here, which is exactly what I am going to do.As a restaurant: I really like the food. The burgers and sandwiches are really delicious, the appetizers are awesome and varied (love the mango wings and the cheese bread especially) the pizza is great (especially like the mac & cheese pizza with chicken added) and...you can eat for pretty cheap, especially during happy hour or if you go for an artisan roll, which are cheesy and delicious and filling and only a couple dollars.Also...they serve til midnight, so it's one of the few places to grab grub downtown past 9:00 or 10:00.Lastly, they do a Sunday brunch buffet and make omelets made to order, and their omelets are awesome! ...and their French toast is my favorite in town.As an entertainment venue: it's top notch. I love the atmosphere, it never feels too cramped, and The Plus on a typical week has shows and events 6 days out of the week...many of which are often free (including the V1 reader's poll #1 open mic in the Chippewa Valley on Tuesday nights) and it's all ages.The new outdoor patio is also really cool and a fun place to see music, and it doesn't hurt that they have a lot of good beer on tap and happy hour from 10:00 to midnight Sunday through Friday.In summation...this place is great. Eat there. Drink there. Catch a show there.

The pizzais good. Their beer selection is not the best. Main complaint is drinking out of a can.... They don't do bottles. Not the most friendly ‍

Great local place to get good pizza at a reasonable price point. The atmosphere is that of a sports bar/pizzeria with high tops as well as more of a dining experience in the back room. The waitstaff was very helpful and the service extremely delightful.

We went to this place based on reviews and the website stated Thursday night was comedy night. I felt it was more of a local bar than a restaurant but the food was good. We just did bread sticks and pizza. I did think the pizza had a little too much sauce but it was still good. We didn't see any comedians and it didn't look like they were setting up for it either so I can't say much on that. Service was good. I guess I would say this place was average.

Decent beer tap selection. The Sunday brunch is pretty good.Want an amazing appetizer? The Bon tons! Chicken in a won ton. A little spicy too. During happy hour apps are half price!The Italian nachos are unique and delicious. Great thin crust pizza.

This is a strange pizza joint, as one side is a bar and one side is a family-style dining room, with kids arcade games. Gangsta rap was blaring on the speakers for my 1 and 4 year old the entire time for lunch on a Saturday... See my pics for reference: The menu has pizza (crust was burnt, and the chicken didn't taste fresh), but also a lot of other things (salads, sandwiches, kids menu, burgers, dessert). The kids mac n cheese was a weird combo between fake and real cheese, yet tasted oddly delicious. The food was okay, and would probably go back, due to the proximity to the children's museum. A bit pricey, but things like "free drink and ice cream with kids meals " sort of makes up for it. It just needs to decide if it is a family joint or a bar, so the other group isn't offended/put-out.

The buffalo Mac and cheese pizza is to die for. This place is definitely a hole in the wall and I'm glad I stopped. The service isn't the best but the bartender was very nice

My husband, Mike, doesn't like this place because they don't serve purple drank. He's an idiot.

The Plus has re-opened. The pizza is excellent, and my wife and I were regular almost weekly patrons prior to the pandemic. A couple of weeks ago was probably our last visit. We were denied service. After sitting down at the bar, like we had previously and were served, we watched patrons enter and be greeted and served at the bar and tables. We were not greeted or asked what we wanted. We tried making small talk with the bartender, who mentioned a big group was coming in soon. After about 20 minutes the bartender just walked away into the back room, so we left. We are both seniors and enjoy going out to eat quite a bit around Eau Claire. We have a regular rotation of restaurants every week, and we tip very well! It was not very busy, and very insulting to be ignored.

A little less than average. The pizza was greasy and bland. The staff was helpful. Overall, meh.
