Kinda weird that us Twin City folks have to drive to Pine City to find cool scrapbooking supplies, but I found myself happy I had made the drive to this delightful store a little over an hour from my house. There were tons of papers, organized by topic mostly. I was in the market for Christmas papers and had a wonderful time putting piece after piece in my basket. They were gearing up for a used crafting supply event so there were a ton of covered tables with stamps, papers and what have you with low low prices on them. She holds it the last week of October or so and it's cash or check only and the vendors get paid in store credit. Fair enough. The owner was very friendly. The store was organized and had card samples and some ink and other supplies too. And it being a small town, lots of parking. Her tips on where to eat lunch were spot on too! make the drive!

This place is super cute, had onsite parking and across the street there's a little park!Masks are required inside and the space seems to be large enough that you don't need to socially distance. They have a ton of paper options and even have stickers and other fun things. They lack a bit on equipment. My mom came in looking for paper racks and they didn't have any. But, they have a huge section of example cards in the front and we spent a lot of time looking through them. My mom found a card using alcohol paints as an example card and she bought a bunch of them to play around with. Overall if I was into scrapbooking I would absolutely come back. They have a retreat section of the building so that you can stay for a long weekend and craft but I did not see that section so I can't comment on it but it sounds fun.

What a great surprise store in Pine City! They have everything you need for your paper crafting, including TONS of ideas on display to check out. We came for one of the monthly card making "classes" - each month the instructor puts together a bunch of projects to do - no experience (or creativity!) needed for $20. I think we did 8 cards plus she sent us home with 2 extra. She was super organized and the cards were very cute! My only complaint about the class was that she had all the stamping and cutting done for us, so we basically just colored and assembled. I have done similar events and that instructor just had the papers cut and we moved station to station and stamped /colored our own. They felt a bit more handmade that way. They apparently do retreats here as well - I'm not sure if they have places to stay in the back? But it seems like a fun idea!

A small group of my scrapping friends were looking for new weekend retreats and I came upon the Scrapbooking Company. When I explored the store and retreat center, I found the owners to be quite personable and welcoming last summer. So this winter my friends and I stayed for a weekend. We were very excited to visit the store which includes good brands of items and a nice variety of examples of cards and pages. The retreat facilities were clean and sufficient. Space was very tight but we could manage with a little extra organization. The weekend was a bit if a disappointment. It would have been a better start if the owner had escorted us to vacant rooms and showed where things were located. The owners could have been more visible in the retreat area to ensure that everyone understood and followed the rules about sharing the space, courtesy, quiet time, and cleanliness. They could make sure that there was equal time for watching movies (and movie selections) and music and quiet. They could have checked in to make sure space was adequate, rooms were good (we had two burned out lights in our room). Ensure that the showers were cleared of belongings when not in use (2 people put their clothes in two showers apparently to save them for when they wanted to shower.) The weekend experience for my group would have been improved had we been escorted to our rooms and maybe introduced to the women who were there, been oriented to the facilities, and known that everyone knew and understood the ground rules for living with 24 people for the weekend. I expected to see the owners checking in and conversing to ensure that everyone was getting along and felt comfortable. I did not expect to have to insist on the other guests to be considerate when selecting movies-not select movies with excessive foul language and violent speech and actions, or that there would be a steady stream of movies for more than 12 hours. I did not expect to have to ask for a movie to be turned down at 3:00 a.m. The owners' lack of attention, perhaps overly concerned for the privacy of the guests, was a key factor in the "misunderstandings" and subtle abuses of decorum and the clear violations of the ground rules. The concept is very good, execution is tricky when you throw people from all walks if life together and leave them. The owners could set the tone for courtesy and fairness for things like, sharing the time and air for doses of communication, movie time, background music time, and maybe even showing a technique or tool. Something that can provide a check in and a change up so everyone can experience some comfort and something different. We learned some good things and got some good work done during the weekend in spite of the annoyances. When in the area, we will shop the store. We like to support local small businesses who support and supply our crafts. We will consider this venue again for a larger group, but our small group was not comfortable with the unchecked atmosphere created by some of the guests.

I'm in love with locally owned craft/stamp/scrapbook store. Check out the 40% off area on the classroom. Prices overall are reasonable and good selection that is well organized. Lots of creative displays. They offer classes and have an overnight retreat area. Friendly service. A little out of the way but go visit the city and have lunch.

I ordered via the website for a stamp set I was excited to finally find. I kept checking order status and it kept saying "processing", even after the 1-3 days it states on their website. I sent 2 emails that were ignored (check spam/junk always!) and finally got a response after sending a PM. Then nothing until I got a refund notice via email. Hours later still not a further response or apology. Maybe they're fine in person, but via their website - horrible. If you list on your site, be accurate and always keep it up-to-date.

I used to live in both Pine City and Rush City and was shocked to hear my friends here in Mpls raving about the awesome stamp and scrapbooking store in Pine City. Apparently one of the gals owns a cabin in the area and had been here before. We decided to visit the store and take a class. I was hooked. I don't get to Pine City very often but when I do I make it a point to stop in and shop. The samples are amazing and when I asked about taking pictures the owner encouraged it so I would know what I needed and how the cards went together. With so many other stamp/scrapbooking stores not around anymore this is truly a "gem". Great variety and many samples. I have had nothing but good luck it getting knowledgeable helpful answers to my questions. I was there today and didn't realize the store had closed. I apologized and said I would hurry (there is so much to see.) The husband Ron was working and said not to worry I could take my time. I was very very please with the selection and the customer service I received....Just Awesome.
