Excellent food, service, ambiance, and prices - 5 stars! We didn't know what to expect. The 3 of us had pretty low expectations. But our visit was great. In the end, the three of us agreed that we definitely had a 5 star experience. We arrived at opening and we happened to be served by the owner himself - a really nice guy. He gave us a brief history of the bar, which is extensive. The Old Saloon has been around with the current name since 1975 (the building is a lot older). The current owner has been at the helm for 30 years! Obviously, he's knows what he's doing. Our food was excellent...everything from the Ellsworth Cheese Curds, the wings, the salad, the burger, the Chicago style hotdog, and the savory mac & cheese soup! Of course, since this is Wisconsin, they have a great selection of beer on tap. The prices were amazingly reasonable to. We probably would have paid double in the Twin Cities. The décor is cool too. Apparently, the owner's wife is the chief decorator and she does a great job. I particularly love the vintage and antique stuff. They have some very old and rare original neon signs, an old Schwinn Phantom, and an antique penny scale. There are a few reproductions here & there but most of it is totally original. Cool! Thanks for a great experience!Thumbs up!- Maxx

The Old Saloon is a Gem. Seriously the food is good clean quality food. Simple high quality bar food that serves creative simple dishes. The beer selection is very thought out and the staff is friendly and inviting. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Notice the old Brunswick Bar that sets the stage for very cozy feel. Highly recommend this place. I travel a lot and the Old Saloon is always a pleasure to visit with family, friends or just a beer to relax. Most authentic and unique restaurant/Bar in New Richmond. Just stopped by the Old Saloon. Truly the Green Dragon of this Shire. Really what a wonderful place and great food, beer and the staff and owners are gems. Highly recommend The Old Saloon Once again, stopped by the Old Saloon and it was delish. Very warm community pub.

Let's keep in mind that stars are relative to the area but don't let this place slip through your net. Easily best bar food in new Richmond , not the beer selection of Bradley's or rooftop patio of champs but if your out for the best food and some classic bar surroundings this is the place to go.Best wings in the county "Very Hot" flavor was just right for us west coasters but Sweet Chili line is good too and not some corn syrup based cr@p out of a bottle, sauces all the way down to the blue cheese dip are the owners from scratch concoctions.Burgers were tops, good menu selection , I could actually taste the charcoal and they were hand pressed at time of order with fresh bakery quality buns, something I really appreciate.Only open 4 days per week so call ahead

Unfortunate occurrence at The Old Saloon tonight. Glass in drink. Notified and drink was replaced. Bad news is the bartender didn't even extend me the courtesy of buying the drink. Wow. Customer service at its finest.

It's basic bar food, but it's good bar food. The main reason I continue to go back is the ambiance. It's small, dimly lit, seating is relatively private, the drinks are good and servers are friendly without being overbearing. It's a great date spot, good lighting, not too noisy or quiet, perfect for conversation, apps, and drinks.

Our favorite spot in town!~ Date nights always end with a stop at the Old Saloon. We love the smoked old fashioned but they also have a great beer selection and the food is high quality. It is a quaint atmosphere that provides an intimate setting. Reminds us of days long ago with the charm, fittingly, of an old saloon. If you are in the area, you don't want to miss this place.

The BEST Chicken Wings in the Midwest area. Enjoying wings in every spot I travel in MidWest, this is the real deal, good meat, cooked correctly and the best spices. Hot is Hot. Draft Beer is a good mixure of craft beers, local when possiable. One of the most unique bars in St Croix area with a low light, relaxed atmoshere, good music. Some nights Live bands.Busy early in night for great food, full fillets of fish, curds, burgers and homemade soups. Almost all foods from scratch..... to bad only open Wed to Sat. Staff always friendly and warm.
