This is a small town cafe with excellent steak nachos, enough for 2 hungry people and could feed 3. Queso is homemade and excellent. Owner is friendly and staff on his first day was pleasant and courteous. There were wonderful looking pastries and cupcakes, etc. available, along with several coffee and other drinks. Let's keep this business going. An excellent alternative in Spicer, Minnesota. I will go back!

This rating is for "Kafé La Baja LLC" Facebook shows business hours 6-8 on weekends. I was told that people say it's a good place with "real" Mexican food, So I show up at 6 am. They didn't open until 7. Service was terrible. You could easily tell that the young lady in the front had just woken up because of her hair. She seemed lost and confused. Lack of knowledge on her tasks. My food took a long time and I was one of three other customers in this place. Two were already eating and one was only waiting for coffee. My tacos were wrapped up but smooshed. I asked for Machaca which they contain egg and this tacos had no egg at all. I also asked for Picadillo and this tacos were sweet!!!! This is NOT real Mexican food. Save to say, I've tried this place and will never go back.

A great coffee break on Highway 23 - friendly staff, quick service, both traditional and creative drinks, and a nice selection of baked goods. Whether you're a local or just passing through Spicer, a stop at The Kofe Shop is one you shouldn't miss!

We were in Spicer for a couple of days over the 4th of July holiday and stopped into The Kofe Shop on two consecutive mornings for our daily java. My latte was perfect and the doughnut that accompanied it was fresh and delicious. Nice atmosphere, pleasant and quick service, good coffee... or is it kofe? I will return.

This review is for Kafe la Baja.If I could give them. O (zero) rating I would.Their service is terribly slow. The employees have one speed (super slow) it took them over 35 minutes to make 3 burritos. That's crazy. It wasn't even busy. There was only one person ahead of us. We almost left but such it out.The food was good but the people here need some training and the cook needs to get cooking so the people don't wait so long to get their food. This is one place we will never never never go back to. Due to their terrible service. Oh, it took them over 20 minutes to get us a regular coffee. REALLY!!!!!!!!! avoid this place.
