PS - meat was fantastic, and customer service was stellar every single time. unfortunately, I'm no longer living in state but 100% would continue buying from these folks if I were!

My first purchase from the company was 1/8 beef share. Since then I have also purchased chicken and pork, and more steaks. The meat is consistently high-quality and very flavorful. I really enjoy supporting a local farmer and Valerie has been amazing to deal with! I highly recommend Grass Fed Cattle Co.

I could not recommend The Grass Fed Cattle Company highly enough. We've been buying their variety packages of 1/8 of a cow, and we just bought a package of soup bones for the first time. Both are a very good value for what you get - it's a little hard to compare since you pay one price for a variety of cuts but I did a back-of-the-envelope calculation and it ends up being about the same price as non-grass fed supermarket beef for the ground beef, and actually cheaper for the prime cuts.Most importantly, the quality is outstanding. I've been wanting to make homemade broth/bouillon and before buying from GFCC, I bought some soup bones from Whole Foods. It took four hours and a lot of extras to get some taste and color. After buying a similar package from these guys, I was surprised to get much richer taste and color after just two hours, and the flavor was sublime, just like what I remember my mom making in the "old country"!The only downside is that you have to either share with another family, or else you need a big freezer (and that's for 1/8th which is the smallest package they sell). They did however tells us that they are working on splitting up the quantity into smaller packages so that should be available soon.

We have experienced 3 orders so far which included pork, beef and chicken in various cuts. All of these meats, when raw smell clean, have beautiful color and when cooked have wonderful flavor. There is a bad review on Yelp regarding bacon having "off flavor", the flavor is just different from store bought bacon, not "off" but we love it.My profile shows SanFrancisco for some reason, we live in Moorhead, MN.

Amazing quality meat and awesome customer service! We ordered a subscription, it got delayed (likely due to crazy demand) while our other separate order was fulfilled. Rather then sending us away they fulfilled our order early! What a great experience that was only bolstered after we cooked their amazing meat. Loved it!!

If I had written a review after the first order we placed, I would have given it 5 stars. Beef was the best tasting meat that we had ever had, and had a rich buttery flavor. Meat was processed very well, and customer service was great, so we ordered a second time, and had a completely different experience. This round of beef has a weird taste to it, that we would describe as gamey. We cook the steaks, and throw out the leftovers, because none of us are willing to eat them. We will only use the hamburger if making spaghetti or tacos, so we can hide the flavor. For hamburgers, we go to Costco to buy more hamburger meat, while we have a freezer full, and that is upsetting. The steaks look like they took whatever is leftover from someone else's order, that had too many ounces, they chopped off the tip of it, and packaged it to give to us. We were given these little leftover steaks, rather than the full steaks we were given the first time. It took me an hour to get the membrane off of the skirt steak, which I did not have to do before. I don't know what happened, but we have a bunch of meat, that we really do not want to eat, but spent too much to let it go to waste. We will definitely not risk ordering from them again.

Never buy from these people. Flavor and texture of the meat is very poor and they don't stand behind their product. The pork bacon and chops were extremely tough. All they said is that I didn't know how to prepare pastured pork. Well I have been eating grassfed beef and pastured pork for years and do know how to cook it. Also the flavor of the bacon was a off. They refused to stand behind their product. A never buy.

We stumbled upon The Grass Fed Cattle Co as they had a booth at the Edina Art Fair. We are so happy we did. We ordered 1/8 beef share and a pork bundle, which fit in the top portion of an older type refrigerator/freezer without any issues. Each piece of meat comes shrink wrapped and frozen so no air can get in to spoil the meat. The ordering and pick-up couldn't be any easier. Thank you, Abby!! So far, we have had the bacon, pork chops, and did a taste comparison of a few steaks. I say comparison, but it really didn't matter. All the cuts were amazing, but just with a little different flavor. Sorry I forgot to take pictures since we just started eating it so fast!! I would highly recommend The Grass Fed Cattle Co and will definitely be back once we've gone through our freezer. We will be grilling some more this weekend and can't wait!!
